Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge is a Waterfront Paradise and the premier tiki bar of Minneapolis. Located on the banks of the mighty Mississippi, Suzi provides a Polynesian escape on two floors with the largest waterfront tropical patio in Minneapolis. Seating for 750 tikiphiles, with 4 bars, two patios, thatching, tiki, tapa, and kitschy retro decor, this massive tropical wonderland is a feast and a fantasy. Year round gas fire torches light up the waterfront and backyard terrace with the sounds of exotica and yacht rock. Our tiki drinks are rum soaked with a vast variety of rums, house made syrups, specialty juice blends, infused liquors and secret spices. Our food is retro American classics with minor Asian influences featuring pupus, pizzas, and burgers.
Transport yourself to another world and let us mend your broken dreams.
Always love the creative menu and great atmosphere here!!
Great location for our party of 6! The restaurant even had excellent gluten free options. We found the food a little pricey, but overall fun atmosphere.
Fun unique place. All of the people working there were friendly and helpful. Our wait staff was fun and her recommendations on the chili were spot on. Definitely like to come there in the summer.
Always a fun ambiance. Food is always so-so. We had the deep dish pizza and it was fine but nothing outstanding. They don't currently have a dessert menu which was unfortunate. Service was great at the beginning but then there was a long gap where we didnt see our waitress.
The pizza I had was over done, the crust was like eating cardboard, the Halloween party was lame, didn't have any fun, it was like being at a gay bar, you don't put, Dicks and Chick for the restrooms, without thinking it's a gay bar.
First time there and was highly impressed. It’s a fun place. I’ll bet it’s even more fun in the evenings:)
Our server could have been more attentive but other servers made up for it.
Great food and fun atmosphere! They did a good job with you large party.
We were in a private room for my birthday party, and we could not have had a better time! The service was outstanding.
It’s a fun place! Little on the noisy side if you are looking for a quiet place, this ain’t that place. Food was good!
Fun place. Limited menu but what we had was good. Service was friendly and efficient. Liked the atmosphere. Prices were reasonable. Easy to find and nice view. Will go again.
We came for restaurant week. Meal was 2/$35.
It wasn’t very good. Probably won’t be back.
Menu is casual and food is tasty. Not a lot of vegetarian options if you need that. It's just a fun place to go !
The waitress took forever to come back with coffee refills even after being asked a few times. We never received our requested ketchup.
The theme/atmosphere is great. We made a reservation and didn’t have to wait long. However, super dark inside (needed flashlight for menu), but that’s because it’s a tiki theme. Also, hot. No A/C. They were very busy, but the service was decent. Got our food/drinks very fast. And the food was great.
Great food, drinks, and ambience for a group of friends to get together. Watch your drink glasses for deposit though. We had to switch tables because it was too hot inside...we took our drink glasses along to a table on the patio and apparently our server didn't realize that, so we got charged for 2 drink glasses and even though we tried to correct the issue before we left, we could not because our server had left.
Everything was so perfect! I hosted a bachelorette party for my best friend and it could not have been a better experience! Our food and drinks were wonderful and the service was outstanding! Our servers Jordan and Gabby were amazing and so accommodating for our large group of 18! They made it hassle-free for us by giving us separate checks at the end of the night which we all SO appreciated. Thank you for making the night so special!
Great dinner in a fun place. Specialty cocktails were yummy and served in fun tiki mugs.
Only thing... Friday at 6:30, and they were unable to make Mai Tai! Found other great drinks thought
Excellent food, great service, fun atmosphere. The brown sugar babies were absolutely incredible. The Thailand island pizza was spectacular. Weird combination of ingredients that really do work well together.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and we sat on the deck overlooking the river. We were unaware that this particular section of the patio didn’t include table service. However, the server and manager said “no problem” we’ll serve you in that section - which was really nice. Our server, Betty, was great! Very attentive, a bit irreverent (which was completely appropriate and welcomed) and wonderful! She made our experience even more fun.
food was good. some errors in the order which were quickly sorted out by the waiter. drinks were strong. weather was great. excellent patio.
We had a date night there and it was a fun friday night.
Finest Tiki bar in MN! They make a fine and genuine Mai Tai at Suzis. The potstickera are outstanding and Pizza made from scratch to order is terrific. Truly the mender of broken dreams!
The weather wasn't great but we were still able to sit outside with the tables with fire. I hope to come again when it's nice out and sit out further on the patio and be able to see more of the view.
The drink prices were way too high for what you get.
Reservations are only for inside dining. Inside was OK, but wish we had waited for outside.
Absolutely horrible service. After speaking to the manager our waitress was rude and disrespectful. The appetizers were good but the food was just ok.
Our dining experience was overall great. Really fun atmosphere and the waitstaff were all very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions about the menu and offerings. One ting that stood out in my mind is I had made a reservation for me and my 3 friends in my name. They arrived just a few minutes before I did and were sitting on the river patio where I had requested in my reservation. Upon entering the restaurant I told the greeter hostess my reservation name and she told me just go out and find a table anywhere. I asked if any of my party was there yet and she said, no one checked in under my reservation... I even described my two friends. She said, no didn't see them. I thought that was strange being I was a few minutes late and knew my friends were indeed there (they had texted they were there). SO-- I went ahead on and there they were on the patio sitting at a table. I asked if they checked in and they said yes they had under my name and was told to grab a table anywhere. I asked if they checked in with the same gal I did and they said yes they had.
Now, I would think that if it indeed was the same person at the hostess greeting station, they should know what the heck they are doing, at least- remember- someone checking in within 15 mins prior to the next inquiry--especially with the reservation name given to them --- That looked really bad for your establishment. This was 4pm on a friday, SEpt 6th. It was NOT busy.
Food was ok, not like a wow/amazing. Drinks were not impressive. We were asked to leave when it was only a few minutes past 11pm when the restaurant closes at midnight on a Tuesday.
Great lunch by the river. Food and service were excellent. Every time I come here I wonder why I am not here more often since the experience is always excellent - daytime or evening.
Staff was great. Always a cute atmosphere
Betty our server was great!!
Suzi's is a themed restaurant, of course, so to have a well-done design should be a given. They don't disappoint. We were there for dinner and the band. Both were fantastic. Our only suggestion is to allow at least some kind of food (appetizers?) upstairs in the lounge. We would have easily spent an extra $30-40 . What a FUN place!!!!
Really enjoyed the ambience on the deck on a lovely summer evening; good food and service.
We wentwith our adult kids, hoping to sit on the riverside patio. The wait was long somwe ate in the dimly lit interior. We used our phone flashlights to read the menu. If you enjoy $14 hamburgers, this is the place to go. I doubt we will go again.
Overall it was awesome and nice to have a separate room to ourselves. The only issue we had was that it was super warm temperature wise with no windows or anything.
Such a cute place, very tropical feeling. Great for the summer. We were in and out within an hour, and Kylie was an amazing server.
Slooooooow service. Very disappointing. Drinks were small and overpriced but the food was pretty tasty. When another server finally brought our food, they missed one entree. When our regular waitress showed up,she asked us where the missing entree was. I felt silly telling her that we were hoping she could check. If we had gotten to fit outside it might have been worth it.
Psycho Suzi's Tiki theme for food, drink & decor was so much fun! Had a wonderful time celebrating our niece's college graduation.
