As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case.
The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.

The service, food and ambience were outstanding. The prices were a little pricey, but the food was delicious. We were able to find a wine that we both liked, as I like Cabs and my wife likes sweeter wines. This is definitely a place for special occasions. It was a perfect choice for our 46th anniversary.

The tenderloin steak was exactly that, extremely tender flavorful. Tried the Sloth cocktail, it to was awesome very refreshing!

Context: I live downtown Chicago and this is my first visit to Minneapolis…. I chose PS Steak because it WASN’T at the top of the lists that are so clearly aimed at tourists and business travelers. It looked to be a draw for locals. I think I was right. The space is very old world European and elegant. The chopped salad was the top salad of our visit. The Cap Steak was prepared and presented perfectly. The hash brown side was good, albeit not HOT in the center, indicating it had sat for a bit. Kris was a great guide through the meal. I would certainly recommend based on my one visit.

Love the comfortable old school vibe great Manhattan! Staff was very prompt and Interaction was fun . Wasn’t sure if I was gonna get the chef special or the spaghetti. I ordered the special and the server surprise me with a small portion of spaghetti. It was all amazing. Will definitely be back soon. Thanks to all the staff.

This was their special brunch for Mother’s Day and since we had had such a great experience at their holiday brunch in December, we definitely wanted a reservation again because they are only open for brunch on a couple of special holidays in the year. This time we really enjoyed again the tasteful light and bright classic ambience of their Lounge room, the service was smooth and masterful, and the food was some of the best breakfast/brunch items we have ever had- just like at Christmas time! Their regular steakhouse dinner menu is one of the best in town, but for most people this is very much an expensive, special occasion place. However for their brunch the most expensive menu item was their steak & eggs for $30, which was again the best I have had anywhere! Another recommendation is their Social Hour menu available daily in their Lounge, which is more affordable but the food has some of my same favorites from their Dinner menu- like one of the best cheeseburger & fries in town for a discount. This place is the total package and don’t forget to finish with the best hot fudge sundae (with peanuts) in town- their special homemade fudge sauce will have you trying to spoon out every last drop from the little pitcher served on the side!

I had a great time and even though it was close to close our server was amazing and helpful. The food was amazing for the prices. I personally had the Salmon and for $43 it’s out of this world good. Overall I would suggest this to anyone looking for a fancy but budget place with great service.

Awesome steak meal! Great cut well prepared at medium rare. Excellent sauce and wonderful mash potatoes!
