The best, every time.
We felt rushed
Fantastic gin and tonics. Amazing fusion dishes. Fantastic staff. Perfect spot for a foray back into restaurant dining.
Vegetarian dishes were outstanding
We tried all of them and each of them was amazing
Service super slow. Took over 30 min to get first drink order. Food expensive for amount of food we got.
Great service. Our server was starting his first day and you couldn’t tell, he was fantastic helpful and knowledgeable. The food was amazing, please send me the green salad recipe;) the chicken and noodles was yummy just be prepared for lots of sauce! Thanks again for a wonderful evening!
Overall the food was very good. Wasn’t a fan of the tres leeches but otherwise loved the food. The drinks took forever and the glass was of wine was almost embarrassingly small. Would go back for the food.
We went for a birthday. Global inspired menu that was a very pleasant surprise for my partner and I. Great flavors and refined dishes
It was my second time dining at Proxi, and I will say I loved it just as much as the first! The food is fresh and beautifully presented; the service is outstanding, and the cocktails are scrumptious. If you are in the Loop, and looking to take colleagues or clients, friends or family, I cannot recommend Proxi enough. Great vibe, and just east of the all-too-trendy Randolph Street Corridor and Fulton Market. It also have a very lovely outdoor seating area, too.
Great service and they went out of their way to accommodate my diet restrictions. Would be helpful if gluten and dairy items were marked on the menu.
Decent portion sizes, nice presentation, good flavor. Overall our meal was wonderful.
This place serves small dishes which is fun because you get to try a lot of different things. Some dishes were total misses while others quite delicious. Hit or miss. Same with the drinks. Got a really good one but the second one tasted just like tonic. Unfortunately our server was bad. He was slightly rude and neglectful. The manager on the other hand was very attentive, provided great service and recommendations. The ambiance was good - busy place. Overall this place was a 3/5. Would possibly give it another try. The server on the Table next to us seemed great and given some of the dishes were very good, perhaps makes it worth another shot. Expect to have to get many dishes (~4/person) to feel satisfied after dinner.
One of the best share-plate cuisines in Chicago. Every dish was a pleasant surprise.
Used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Seems the quality has gone down a bit. The ambience was weird. Place used to be bustling but they seem to be running volume based COVID restrictions even though the restrictions have been lifted.
Excellent food and service.
Pretty restaurant but the crab tempura was soggy, the black cod was cold and tough, and there was another meat dish with an odd flavor. We liked the salad and corn. Overall mediocre food at best. Wouldn’t go back
Food is outstanding, ambience and seating comfort level wish more to be desired
It was really good but we went Jan 2020 and I thought the food was much better. Wait staff was wonderful though. And very covid conscience. Felt very safe.
The flavors jump out of every dish in such an awesome way. There are lots of things to try so definitely take a listen to the server's advice. I am very excited to get back!
Atmosphere and service are no doubt compromised by COVID, but it was still good. Highlight was the food. We had 5 savories and 2 desserts and each of them fell in the range of very good to outstanding.
Excellent food and vibe , we would definitely return !
Everything was excellent. The cocktails are delicious - highly recommend the flavored G&T's - and the tempura elote was to DIE FOR. Ended up getting another round for dessert!
Nice service and consistently good food.
Excellent option in Chicago !!!
Great food. Good veggie options as well.
It was fabulous
EVERYTHING was absolutely DELICIOUS at Proxi!! Such a unique menu filled with interesting twists on global cuisine! From the Muhammara (their version of a hummus type dish) to the Coal Roasted Paneer (incredible!) to the Khanom Krok (pancakes filled with shrimp, SO amazing!) to the Black Cod with black garlic misoyaki (truly outstanding!)...it was all FANTASTIC!! The cocktails were equally impressive, especially the Spanish-Style G & T's!! This is one of the best places we've eaten at in Chicago in a long time...HIGHLY recommend!! Will be going back again very soon!
Stopped in for a drink and dessert. Great ambiance and decor. Service was little slow but was super friendly and welcoming.
Covid makes everything a bit challenging. Overall food was average at best. Service and staff were excellent.
The food was outstanding but our server was not attentive. The people delivering the food to the table from the kitchen were terrific! I am chalking the server issue up to inexperince. I will definately return. The food is unique and wonderful
Excellent service, fantastic vibe, and great food. All around thrilled to have eaten here and may even make a stop back one day.
Elote and muhamarra dip were great - everything else was passable or strange. Portion sizes are very small. Cute place but kind of loud with the music - wouldn’t go back again based on the quality of the food and value for the price. I felt that 3 of our 5 dishes didn’t really taste like much at all, or were just underwhelming for the price.
Went for a friends birthday. Great food- large variety on the menu. adequate amount of food for small plates. Great service...they told us to order 2 of each plate we ordered for the table so everyone can try some (we had a party of 6)- it was the perfect amount of food.
Sadly, the experience at Proxi did not live up to expectations. Given social distancing, tables were understandably spread out but to optimize occupancy, the private dining room space has been utilized which is at the back of the restaurant. With only 2 small tables this space was soulless and we felt disconnected from the restaurant and service (it took 10 mins for a server to offer initial drinks etc). Whilst fully understanding current challenges, more effort could have been made to make us feel welcome and part of the "Proxi" experience.
The food was absolutely amazing. Loved how everything was small so that er could try a lot of the dishes.
Our first time at Proxi and it was a very enjoyable meal. We were looking for different types of entrees than we normally have and Proxi delivered . Very distinct and different flavors in our meals , which is what we were hoping for. Great service as well the whole meal. Social distancing was not an issue as we felt fine eating inside.
Wonderful experience With extraordinary service! I loved it.... the food is creative, New, refreshing!
This restaurant is innovative and creative. They put things together that you wouldn't think of and then the dish is just perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The best cod with miso ever!
Great food, nice ambiance and in my opinion best value for the money in Chicago.
Had been wanting to try out Proxi for months and it certainly lived up to expectations. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Love the ambience of the place and would highly recommend!
