Very very good
Great food! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the dishes.
Love this place! Amazing food and service
I had brunch at Proxi on a Sunday morning and it was quite a positive experience, especially with the Southeast Asian flavors incorporated into the dishes. It wasn't exactly the typical kind of food you'd have for brunch but the catfish bahn mi was really something - I'd come back just for that. The tempura elotes were so good too, and the texture really popped out to me. However, the service was just mediocre since some servers looked bored/irritated while checking on my table. Personally, that didn't really take away from the experience of the food and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I'd recommend this place for a unique brunch spot or just Southeast Asian flavors.
You should be eating here. Small plates, large plates, and something for everyone. Wonderful flavors and great service. Accommodated our friend who can’t have gluten or diary.
Not sure if the manager and staff were having an off night. We had to wait an hour after our reservation to be sat, they were apologetic but felt they could have arranged seating for us. Our server brought one course and the bread was burnt. When we asked for replacement he had a little attitude and never returned with our bread. We didn’t finish our other courses, paid and left. We were hoping for so much more.
Innovative servings. Everything we had was excellent; well prepared and delicious. Service was outstanding. Loads of ambience.
Enjoyed everything! Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food. Love the coal fired oysters, pumpkin, pepper pork, scallops, zucchini and for the gin and tonic. Thank you for the non alcoholic drinks. Love Proxi
Had a wonderful dinner at Proxi. Seating at the high counter was comfortable -- near the bar, so lots of things going on, but not too loud to make conversation difficult. All of the food we tasted was really excellent -- thoughtful in ideation and careful in execution. Small notes (togarashi with the grilled mushrooms + yuba noodle salad, the perfect measure of smoke with the pumpkin, etc.) were done really well. Clearly this is a kitchen that pays attention to detail. The desserts we tried were especially wonderful (chocolate custard + the flan with pineapple); we had really high expectations, given what we had read about pastry chef Sarah Mispagel, and she far exceeded them. Service was also excellent, from the moment we walked in until the minute we left.
This is a great place to bring colleagues from out of town.
Went here for part of our 10 year anniversary. Really great small food tapas plates. Great flavors, menu items and service. We sat at the table bar that looks right into the kitchen as the chefs cook and put the food in the window. Really great spot!
Loved it - initially reserved a table, but was seated at the 'chef's bar', which looks into the kitchen. Initially was skeptical, but it was actually incredibly cool to see the food being prepared. Food was spectacular, dessert was fantastic, and drinks were delicious. Best value dining out I've had in quite a while.
I couldn’t have asked for more. Lovely atmosphere, fun music, delicious food and a knowledgeable service!!! Yes please! Already made a reservation for next week. Steve made the experience extra special. We had lots of questions and he had all the answers and more. Bravo!
Restaurant/bar were busy even though it was 6:15 on a Wednesday. Excellent food, wine, atmosphere and service. We opted to sit at the bar instead of the 2 top reserved for us, as the table was close to others on each side. The bar is pretty and bright.
Wonderful opportunity to try multiple small plates and share. A couple of BIG servings for those that think they will starve. Good to ask your wait staff to bring out choices in order that makes sense and so everyone has something to start with.
The servers were a bit preoccupied but the food was amazing!
The food, service, and ambiance were all good. The food took a lot longer than expected to come out.
AMAZING. Everything...food, service, atmosphere... was amazing!!
The mussels were delicious. Seated quickly w reservation. Waiter was attentive. Wine list could have been more extensive
Fantastic flavors and ambiance! The portions are very very small so even ordering a couple of each option and three items per person for a group of 7, didn’t allow for us to have more then a small bite of each thing. Recommend only bringing up to 4 or less people so you can have more then a bite.
Would recommend to others just not great for large groups
Food was good but they brought out all the food too quickly and kept trying to remove unfinished plates. Then they told us to leave because they need to flip the table. They allowed us about an hour and rushed us out. Very rude. Too bad, food was delicious
Server friendly & helpful. Presentation excellent. Room full of happy diners.
Curry duck leg--Yes. And mocktails--great selection
Everything on the menu sounded fabulous (and was). Great for sharing lots of appetizers size dishes.
Fish was significantly undercooked. We got a discount though.
Great whole grilled fish. Sword fish also great. Good cocktails.
High top table is not very comfortable; my recommendation try to get regular table if you can. Service and food are great!
Small portions. Food was very good and service was excellent. I have a baby and they gave us a nice comfy table.
Food, ambience and noise level 5-star. Service could have been better. Drinks took way to long to come and then were cleared with last sip left to be finished. That’s a sin in my book!
Never dissatisfied with food and service. Love the freshness of ingredients in every bite.
It was our first time dining at the restaurant and everything was delicious. I couldn’t decide what to order as everything looked good. Came for brunch and will be back. Would love to try dinner next. Thank for accommodating our seating location request for our kids.
Outstanding food and service. Small plates were perfect. Extraordinarily flavorful.
We had the best time! Four of us came for a birthday dinner. It’s a great place to share in the many small plates from around the world. The dishes we ordered ranged from good ( whole fish— I would skip) to great (pork entree, corn fritters) to fantastic( smoked pumpkin, Vietnamese crepes.) Our waiter was very helpful and engaging, and space is very attractive. Great drinks, too.
The Short Rib absolutely stole the show, so good!
Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service!
I highly recommend Proxi. The food was outstanding and the drinks amazing. Top notch place with great service.
