Incredible. I would go once a month if I could. Everything went so smoothly. I felt so special being there. I can see why it’s on many lists of being one of the top restaurants in LA or the US.
Amazing great experience thank you providence
Pricey but worth it. Had the 4course Dine LA fixed menu which was more than ample because of the 5 amuse bouche.
Food was excellent from start to finish.
Providence is always perfect. For celebrating a special occasion, it always tops our list. A beautiful but comfortable restaurant with creative, delicious, sustainable food. The service is always impeccable, knowledgeable and attentive – friendly and never obsequious or pretentious. Our last meal there was fantastic, from the wide array of clever amuses through to the final petit fours.
Food was too salty, everything else was good.
The meal was flawless (as usual) and made our special occasion (Christmas present for both of our parents) absolutely perfect. This is fine dining at its best and remains one of my favorite restaurants in LA.
Had a wonderful experience on the chef recommended tasting menu. Creative and very tasty. Customer service was great.
Increasingly stiff. That, in my experience, is a good description of the staff. It seems as if, every time we arrive, the front desk is less happy to see us (or anyone) walk through the door, and the servers seem programmed to be haughty. The servers, at least, warm up immediately if you joke with them. The front? Like trying to get a smile from the Sphinx.
The food, of course, is marvelous, and the wines paired with it are perfectly suited. (The wine is ample enough so that, if one person orders the paired meal, the wine is sufficient for two. Unless you're a lush, I suppose.)
H-o-w-e-v-e-r, the first server (so many show up at your table that it makes it impossible to know who's in charge... if anyone) tried to strong-arm us into ordering the same menu (there are three). We refused, pointing out that if we arrived as individuals, sat at separate tables, ordered different menus, and then recognized one another and sat together, it wouldn't strain the kitchen's or the servers' abilities to feed us. We got what we wanted. So don't be bullied. It's your money and your mouth, and you should damn well be able to get what you want (and want to pay for).
Yet they do earn particular praise for keeping good records. They knew from previous visits what our dietary restrictions are and told us, when they presented each course, what had been left out. Nuts, for example. That was impressive.
By the end of the evening, with everyone sufficiently loosened up, everything was superb. Until, that is, we had to pass the front. The woman officiously thanked us for coming. The man couldn't manage a nod. He needs to work in something besides hospitality. Perhaps he'd be suited to undertaking.
Service was lacking , we opt in for the wine paring like last time we were there except this time they gave us way fewer glasses of wine so we had to go without wine for few dishes
Absolutely amazing! Food was truly something special. Must try.
