Provence has seen only few changes over the last 15 years. And since the change of ownership in 2012 by Chef Baptist Knaven and his business partner Jerry King, you’ll still find all of your classic favorites such as the beautiful Trout Provencal and Whole Fish baked in Rock Salt, as well as the Onion Soup and Lobster Bisque on the menu.
Chef Baptist came to the United States in 2003 and has earned his accolades in the U.S. at his very successful Mediterranean restaurant “Café Zito” on the North Carolina coast, until he moved to the Triangle and started working at Provence. Working with Felix Roux, a Provence, France native, gave him the edge in classic French cuisine and that is what his menu is based on.
Enjoy a casual dining atmosphere, inside or out-, with an impressive French and international wine selection. Enjoy our great seasonal salads and entrées, and choose from our all in-house made desserts like Pain Perdu and Profiterole.
Bon Appétit!

We were very excited to try Provence and wanted to love it but... we were incredibly disappointed! Overall, food was mediocre and overpriced. Escargot was flavorless, risotto was too salty (although the lobster was cooked well). Service was also mediocre. Would not recommend!

What a wonderful meal we had at Provence for New Years Eve ! Both the food and service were outstanding ! Also, their bartender really knows how to make a good cocktail too ! I had the
salmon dish (beautifully prepared), and my companion had the Rack of lamb.

We shall return to this lovely restaurant !

My sister and I have eaten here before and loved it. As a Christmas gift to visiting family, my sister treated seven of us to brunch on a Saturday. While many entrees were delicious, two members had a disappointing experience. Both got lukewarm soup and barely heated entrees. In fairness, they did not make the server aware of the issue but later spoke with the manager who took the items off the bill. The noise from the kitchen was not only audible, but the conversations could be heard verbatim. Kitchen language is very colorful. All in all this visit was disappointing as we had built up anticipation with tales of earlier visits. All restaurants have times of "less than". I just so wish it hadn't been when we brought new patrons.

It's a great place for a special occasion. The food is delicious, and the service is first class. It's a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it. Love the ambiance, too. We have eaten inside, as well as have enjoyed dining outside. Very accommodating and a perfect place for a fun evening out!

I brought my girlfriend to Provence for a Christmas Eve dinner and we both LOVED it. She ordered the salmon entree and I order the filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. The service staff was very helpful with wine recommendations and overall quite friendly. We will definitely be back.

We normally go to Provence for dinner about once a month just to basque in their superb food and service, but this was an anniversary dinner. Larry, our server, is on "old school" waiter who knows just how to recommend both food and wine, serve without being "present" and someone to engage with - a dying breed. The lobster was excellent (attested to by an old New Englander) as was the quartet of fresh fish from the NC coast.

It does not get much better.

Continues to serve excellent food at reasonable prices. Service was a little indifferent.
