   We waited 45 minutes for our starters and ended up having to send one back (twice!) so in the end, we were there for 1 hour 30 minutes and my partner had not eaten anything! We were then told our mains would be another 10 minutes so we left. Seemed to be similar experiences across most tables. Staff we very apologetic and did not charge us for the starters or drinks but all in all, a very poor experience. Went to Veeno around the corner instead where we were given great service and food!! Won't be returning unfortunately.

   We were the only people in the restaurant but still waited 30 mins. for our starters and another 30 mins for mains. Too slow and too expensive.

   WOW what a gem, nestled in a less than salubrious area in the centre of Stratford. The welcome, service and food was genuinely exceptional. Katy and her staff are attentive and friendly hosts. I had duck, which was cooked well (I mean still pink), and the tastiest dish I have had in a restaurant for years. We were advised that the food would take a while as it was cooked from scratch (and we could tell it was), and were offered free nibbles while we waited. My friends had lamb and sea bream, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Its a real shame for Prospero that they had full bookings but a lot of people didn't bother turning up or cancelling. This restaurant deserves to be up there in the top restaurants in Stratford.

   Best place to eat in Stratford, so good amazing lamb and duck. Brilliant service, had a really brilliant time

   The food was excellent quality & cooked to order. Everything about the meal was perfect, we look forward to coming back another day.

   We had a pleasant meal at Prospero, however, it did not meet expectations. It describes itself as 'fine dining', however, that was sadly not the case. The lack of table linens and fabric napkins set an extremely casual tone upon entering. Food presentation was average although some of it was very tasty--in particular, the baked camembert with 'homemade' bread sticks and caramelised onions. Our main courses of ribeye steak and duck breast were nice but not memorable. Felt the £90 price tag for our 2 course meal with a bottle of wine was not great value. Prospero has some way to go to become a special culinary destination.

   This is a nicely fitted-out restaurant in an off-pitch site in Stratford. It was very quiet the day we went, but the manageress was excellent and very friendly. Unfortunately the food was disappointing, both quality and portion size for the price charged. If they can lift the cooking standard and spread the word, it could do well, but it won't be easy.

    A pleasant surprise, as the restaurant is under new management. The food was excellent and the service prompt and friendly. Definitely recommended.
