Not a good experience. We were seated at a table that had preset water glasses, napkins, and silverware. One of the glasses was filthy with dirty streaks and lemon seeds stuck on the inside of the glass. No one acknowledged or served us for a long while. We took the poor service and dirty glass as a sign that we should find another place
For lunch. So that’s exactly what we did.
While the drinks (rum chai) and dessert (churro waffle) were good, the salad was awful. Fig, Brussels and bacon sounded amazing on the menu, however the the Brussels were raw and tasteless. Halved, not even shredded, hard as a rock. I would give the place another try if in the area, but never that salad again.
We wanted a place for A pre-theater dinner. This fit the bill. We were pleased with our entrées as well as the dessert. Service was fine.
Dined here pre theater. Convenient to Warner and others. Quiet initially but became louder after it started to fill up. Dark lighting, many needed cell phone light to see menu. Large number of TVs with sports (many with the same channel). American pub fare mostly, crabcakes, a salmon dish. Attentive, pleasant wait staff. Good beer selections. We sat at the back with booths. Up front has large table bar seating.
Burgers were great, crabcakes good. Fries excellent. Ice cream and coffee to end it.
Pricing fair for the area. Would recommend pre theater or other event. Maybe for happy hour.
Perfect for pre theater dining on a Friday in lent. Crab dishes were good. Good meal and service at a reasonable price. Will definitely return
My waiter from Dallas, Texas was excellent and his service will have me coming back to dine again.
Our party of 4 all enjoyed our food and drinks. The resturant was busy (Saturday night) but the service was good and the expierence nice.
We were going to the Warner Theater to catch Tedeski Trucks. Ordered the wings for appetizer, "buffalo" style, pretty good. Black and Bleu burger was done perfectly, Truffle fries were very good and worth ordering if you enjoy those. The Tacos sat under the heat lamp too long and were dry, the waiter was very cool and took it off the check. Watched the Hokies beat the Wahoos and they have massive TV's everywhere.
What's good: Great burger, lovely house red wine at happy hour prices.
Drawbacks: Too many television screens, everywhere you look.
This is a sports bar and happy hour place that also has good food, but I wouldn't recommend it solely for the dining experience. It's busy, crowded and casual.
Exceptional and fast service on a busy Friday.
