Awesome bar and good food for a quick lunch. Atmosphere is fun with great photos from the prohibition era. Worth the walk off the beaten path out of the historic district
We loved our waitress, Adrianna, and the seating was perfect for our bachelorette party dinner. Food was delish, drinks were yummy, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend!
The food and the service were excellent, although it was very loud. There was a Blue Grass Jazz Band that was playing during brunch and it was too loud, almost uncomfortable. I would like to return during a more quite time.
We went for a pre-theater dinner. Although I was not overly hungry, the double cheeseburger certainly sated me. Good, crispy fries as well and a large portion. Interesting list of craft cocktails (and more than one with gin, so I liked that!) but not extensive wine offerings. The shrimp and grits was ample and creamy.
Excellent food. Excellent service. The entire experience was phenomenal. Highly recommend! I wish I lived here so I could come weekly!
Great service and good food. Place was just a bit loud with some sort of luncheon bachelorette group. Would come again.
The food was good, the atmosphere was very noisy, service was just alright.
Great menu. Options include multiple small plates, diverse mains, or a tasting menu. Great choices of cocktails, wine and beer.
It is pricey but worth it. Good food and service. Highly recommend
Great location and the food and service was very good.
Server was polite and was always asking if we were good.
Appetizers and main meals were delicious.
Being from the Washington DC area, we wanted to find a restaurant with good food and a Georgia flare. We found it! The food was cooked to perfection. Grilled Octopus was perfection as were all of the other happy hour five dollar starters that we ordered. Brussels sprouts were crispy, oysters were fresh and delicious as were the fries with fouix gras gravy! We will definitely be back.
My husband and I had brunch here on our anniversary. The staff was amazing and welcomed us with a glass of champagne! Their cocktails are awesome and the food was delicious. Try the duck BLT- omg. They also had live music in the front of the restaurant which was a great addition.
We had an awesome meals in one of the snugs! It was quiet and our server was so kind, patient, and informative. Our meal was delicious and cocktails we perfect. We will for sure be back!
We had never been here before but heard good things. Great ambiance and really nice staff. The Brussels sprouts were to die for. We all enjoyed our entrees: roasted chicken, ny strip, and cheeseburger. All were delicious and juicy. Overall a delicious meal!
Large party in dining room and we literally could not hear ourselves talk over the noise. Really need some sort of noise reduction.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The food, service and cocktails were amazing! They even made my wife a believer in egg whites as an ingredient in a cocktail! Our server, Adriana, was awesome. We look forward to going back again soon.
The food was good and the environment added quite a great touch to a bday celebration. I will definitely visit again. Drinks were great.
Delicious meal- inventive menu- great service. My only disappointment is that on the chicken and risotto they couldn’t cook my egg to be less runny and I don’t understand why?
Awesome experience. The decor is prohibition era themed, very nostalgic. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. I got the five course meal, which is chef’s choice. Every dish was beyond expectations. The smoked tartar comes out under a cloche filled with smoke. The reveal is mind blowing. I will definitely be returning many times in the future.
Energetic side of town with a parking garage right across the street. Prohibition has an eclectic atmosphere and gastropub style food to go along with it. I'm not much for cocktails but my dinner guests enjoyed them. Service was outstanding and our group of 5 really enjoyed the comfy u-shaped booth. Great place to try some new types of foods and hang with a fun group of people.
Loved everything...especially the food. It was amazing.
Amazing experience. This is a wonderful restaurant! Christina- best server- answered all our questions and took wonderful care with small chats. SuChef Will is credited for our 5 course meal deliciously and beautifully prepared. We highly recommend to others to visit The Prohibition.
OUTSTANDING meal and service! My group of 5 friends from around the country were in town for a birthday celebration weekend and booked a reservation at Prohibition on a whim - best dining experience of the entire trip by far! Our server, Adrianne, was fabulous! If it hadn't been our last night, we definitely would have come right back for "dinner, round 2" the following night. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits dish as well as the raw oysters. While we waited for our table, Miles at the bar made us amazing drinks (a delicious margarita for me!) and was a photographer extraordinaire. Can't wait to come back on the next visit to Savannah!
Food was very good, but on the pricey side for the portions. We had The Catch of the Day and it was delicious. The deserts are great as well. Had the peach cobbler and is wasn't overly sweet, just right. Of course the booze selection was huge and could find just about everything you could think of. We'll be back!
The food and drinks were absolutely AMAZING. I had the chicken with root vegetable risotto. The chicken was extremely moist and decent size portions.
Lunch. The Brussels sprouts were awesome! The duck blt was also really good!
Amazing! Food was incredible, reasonably priced, and great service! Will be back!
We ate here during restaurant week from the $30 prix fixe menu. The food was good, but we've become so spoiled by the amazing food elsewhere, it's difficult not to compare. We had a reservation but were seated at a high-top table near the bar and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable. There were also several large parties in the front section who were being loud. The overall ambience is historic and cool, but I felt like they just stuck us at the front, so we didn't get to enjoy the main dining area.
Told them it was our 51 wedding anniversary!!
They did not take the time to look at the information on the reservation!!!
First time, impressed with food, service and ambience. Was seated in a very dark booth making it difficult to see menu and food... highly attentive server
Went for restaurant week. Being gluten free I was happy they could make the dishes work. But I’m I was still super limited. I’ll give it another go for a dinner outing but overall the food this round wasn’t very impressive and wasn’t that happy with it.
Our Restaurant Week meal was wonderful and I would definitely return or recommend to a friend. The meld of unexpected flavors was exciting and delicious. The Brussels sprouts were to die for and the pork chop thick and perfectly cooked. I tasted the shrimp and grits and they had the creamiest consistency I’ve ever experienced. We had a lovely dining experience!
We are new to the area and went during a restaurant week so the value for what we got was amazing. The shrimp and grits were delicious and the pork chop was the best we have ever had! The Brussel sprouts are a must try as well. They have an amazing hand crafted cocktail list. The place was pretty quiet on a Sunday evening so I can state how the noise level can get. Since it was fairly slow, we had impeccable service. The interior was nice and of course consist with the restaurant name. We will be back!
Menu is very limited and on the expensive side for what you get. $15 for burger and fries? Atmosphere is nice though, so I guess your paying for this.
Made brunch reservations for 11 with request to have a good view of the restaurant. We were accommodated graciously and seated promptly. During our entire visit we were very well taken care of.
Interior gives your the feel of the prohibition and has a fun timeline of the events of the restaurant and surrounding area! Very cool.
I was slightly disappointed with my meal. I've never jumped on the avocado toast train simply because there is so much more out there, but since this version had fried oysters (woaaah) and the inspired idea of spicy avocado toast I was intrigued. To say the least, I'll never order avocado toast again. Probably anywhere. And yeah man, I really do enjoy avocados. My "toast" was more like buttered bread. It was very flimsy which made it harder to eat, because there was so much avocado (not complaining there!). I didn't receive a tomato, which now I'm just realizing looking over the menu again. Bummer. There was no spice to my toast. No seasoning even on the toast, oysters or eggs, or missing tomato. Well, how do you know it wasn't made with it or mixed it? Very good question. My friends ordered the shrimp benedict with had no indication that it would be spicy, and it had all the flavor and seasoning. With that being said- I would highly recommend the shrimp benedict!! Shrimp were perfect. Hearty meal. 12/10 would eat again. I ended up dipping my toast in their plate to get some of the spice I was promised.
Coffee drinks were excellent! I'm not a big whisky gal and I loved the gran rosta with the powder popcorn accent. Deja brew was also a big hit.
All in all, I'd like to go again to show off the history feel. We love here and have friends visit often. I'll be more inquisitive about the menu and maybe play it more safe unfortunately.
A perfect birthday dinner!
The three course meal for $30 was amazing. Also had a great old-fashioned and a huge selection of bourbons.
If your in the area, you have got to stop here and experience the food and service it is beyond excellent!!
