We did brunch at this place and we all loved it. Our waiter was very friendly and great. The Eggs Benedict was on point, my friend LOVED her avocado toast Benedict. It was just straight up good.
Fantastic brunch food and great brunch vibe!
Bartender could have been happier. She never smiled
Wonderful dinner and evening. Zack was a pleasure and made the evening all the more pleasant. Considering the venue for a private event.
Great food and location. Extremely accommodating to my vegan girlfriend.
We loved the food and we especially loved the band.
My husband and I came here before our dinner reservations at a neighboring restaurant to grab drinks. The drinks were delicious and different. The ambiance
Made the evening very romantic. Our server was great. We did have brussel sprouts for a snack. They were good but hi thought they were too large and could have been cooked a bit longer. They had great flavor. Definitely recommend for drinks.
The smoked steak tartare is delicious and smells great(fresh “smoked” under a clear glass cover. Try the gnocchi ala prohibition (not puttanesca) - it’s light and rich and sweet.
Great cocktail menu and a wonderful ambience. Live “prohibition era” swing music was playing and lots of dancing going on! Lively but not raucous. My three fellow diners loved their food choices. I think I could have ordered better... chose the schnitzel which was more quantity than quality. Would definitely return.
Fantastic service! Food and drink were delicious!
There were 4 of us, we had a really good experience. We had ordered 3 different style craft cocktails & craft beer. Had a burrata appetizer, scallop appetizer, shared caesar salad, 2 burgers with fries, T bone steak and the gnocchi.. We ate this inside in front of a 1920's band. We ended up moving to the back patio for dessert, coffee & after dinner drinks. Inside was busy, hopping, lots of diners & people socializing at the bar. The middle room was a quiet bar area with a TV & some high top tables. We had our desserts on the back patio which was quaint & perfect for private events.. We were all very happy with our meals, left stuffed, even took some home! It was nice that we got to sit inside by the band and also sit outside to talk and relax after our meals. Management was Great! Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend ❤ Couldn't get any food pics because I had unresponsive friends willingness to wait! Hahaha 😅
Exceptional wait staff. Personable, friendly and helpful. Outstanding cocktails, food was excellent with unique preparations.
We had a great experience at Prohibition! We had a child, a baby and a family member in a wheelchair and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. The cocktails were fantastic-- I especially liked the spicy margarita. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I would happily go back to Prohibition.
Wonderful service and variety of plates and drinks without being overwhelming.
Excellent food, great drinks, outstanding service, and great live music & salsa dancing on Tuesday nights!
We went here for my 40th birthday and had a blast. The live music and ambiance was amazing! We ordered a variety of appetizers, get the scallops and daily cheese board. With our mains we felt our server definitely upsold us, we didn’t need as much as what we ordered and she could have advised us that it would be too much food. Other than that drinks were great and service was timely. Serving size of entrees are large.
Food was excellent. Portions were perfect. Service was great.
Great atmosphere on the patio the corned beef hash and the stuffed French Toast were amazing. Would love to come back when I’m in town again.
We had the most amazing server! She was so helpful in making recommendations that matched our taste. Drinks were outstanding as well.
All around, great meal. Our waiter bragged about their award winning cocktails and he didn’t lie. They were very flavorful. As for dinner, let’s just say, we made it easy on the dishwasher. We cleaned our plates. I had their strip steak and my wife had the gnocchi. Every flavor was spot on and prepared to perfection. One of those meal where you are saying “ you gotta taste this”. Definitely have to make a reservation, very popular place but a must. Prohibition is definitely on our list as one of Charleston’s best.
We were there for Brunch. The crispy chicken sandwich was excellent! Steak and egg entry was very hearty.
Good service. Good food. Would highly recommend!
Friendly hostess greeted us at the door. Waiter was very personable & knowledgeable about the menu.
Everything we ordered was delicious!
We’ll be back
Had Sunday brunch today which was our last event during our weekend in Charleston. Love the decor, look, and feel of the restaurant! Savannah gave us excellent service and was very pleasant. We had the poached eggs and fried chicken thigh on biscuit and gravy - I also added two fried eggs over medium. All the food was good, but my fried eggs were overcooked a bit. Coffee was very good, but could have been hotter. Next trip we want to try dinner and drinks here. They were out of the heirloom tomato salad (not surprisingly given time of year) and quiche which was a bit disappointing. Several tables around us had what looked like very tasty drinks, but we had to drive home, so have to try another time.
We had the 5 course tasting menu last night. Oscar, our waitstaff was fantastic! Friendly and acclimating. He spoke with the chef re: some dietary restrictions. We were comfortably seated on the outdoor patio which is intimate and much quieter than the indoor portion, which facilitated our ability to enjoy stimulating conversation over DELICIOUS food!
Highly recommend trying this spot!!!
Great food, good drinks. Service was excellent, Ashleigh was very friendly and accommodating.
At the back bar, Guy made great drinks and was very personable.
Amazing dining experience! Our food was all excellent except- the gnocchi was a little disappointing compared to the other items we tried (crab toast, deviled eggs, burrata....all three were DELICIOUS). Our service was top notch!
The heated patio was the perfect spot!
Savannah was great waitress! Loved the back patio.
Bloody Mary’s were great😀
Waiter was phenomenal. All his recommendations were spot on - tummy martini to delicious seafood. Loved it!
My wife and I enjoyed a Sunday morning brunch at Prohibition. We sat on the patio where we were able to get some fresh air and have a nice meal. The service was great and food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros.
On a girls weekend from NY. Went for Brunch. Charming service, live music a plus but the food was the star. Excellent brunch. Had the Huervos Rancheros. Yum! Homemade biscuits and a Bellini!
Amazing food, great cocktails and a fun atmosphere for a Friday night!
We had a girls weekend and went I to Charleston for one night of fun and dinner. The restaurant was amazing.
Excellent cocktails. Menu also very good. I had the fish of the day special which fresh grouper fillet in sherry sauce with clams. Really good.
The food was terrific, a great value, and the portions were exactly right. The only shortcomings were the noise level from the band playing (which made conversations hard) and how slow it was. We waited a half-hour for our meal to arrive, really long given that what we ordered was pretty typical.
My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary there and appreciated the host staff and server recognizing us for it. We got to sit on the back patio which was very nice and quiet. The highlight of my dinner was the bacon old fashioned. Yum! We look forward to visiting on our next trip to Charleston.
This was our first time at Prohibition. Our server (an Irish woman) was excellent! Incredibly helpful with food & drink selections. The food was delicious & loved the look & feel of the place. We sat inside & did not make it out to the back patio. Thought the prices for the meals were of good value...not over the top.
Excellent brunch!! Patio was really nice
Amazing service and food.
