Prodigy Burger & Bar - Carmel
There was a musician that night so it was a little loud but it was a fun environment. The food was great.
The service wasn’t amazing - our server just wasn’t extremely attentive but much better than our service the time before this.
I enjoy live music at restaurants .. however, it needs to be at a volume which I can still hear the table at my table talking. It was too loud and we were there when these teenagers’ band was playing so it was poor quality music that was way too loud.
Good burgers and sandwiches. Service is good but not super fast. We had a large group of people who were drinking bod have thought the service would be more attentive. Nonetheless, Prodigy is a good place to have a fair priced meal.
Great burgers. The onion rings are the best. Will return.
Nothing special. Wagyu burger is more expensive and subpar compared to the Burger Study Wagyu burger enjoyed before the Colts game. Dynamite Shrimp breading was mushy but had a nice taste. Stuffed mozzarella bread roll came to table with the majority of cheese having escaped from both ends. This place reminds me of a sports bar compared to a food-first eatery. Prices seemed high for a sports bar however we do not go to sports bars to compare. 7:30 PM on a Sunday with one other table seems odd for a sports bar although the Simpsons blasting onscreen and house speakers may explain the situation.
Good was so so
I've been to Prodigy Bar in the past and enjoyed the food with decent service. This visit had fair service (and I might be generous on that rating). It was odd from beginning to end. First, the very young host looked lost when I checked in. I told him that I had a reservation on Open Table, so he would check us in. He looked at his screen but apparently did not check us in, since I received an email asking if we missed our reservation. Our waiter took our drink orders promptly, but did not deliver our drinks until after we waited a long time and asked him about them (which, by the way, they were sitting on the bar waiting for him). Our food was good, but my friend ordered broccoli on the side and received fries instead. When we told the bar manager who stopped by to ask how things were going, he said he would bring the broccoli right over. It never arrived. My husband ordered a second drink that took quite a while to arrive too. When our bill arrived, we were not charged the special $6 price for the mules (Saturday special), but rather $10 each. When we told the waiter, he brought us $10 in cash and said he didn't want to ask a manager to adjust the bill. The food is good and reasonably priced, but the service was not good at all. We'll think twice about going back. Hoping this was an exception to the rule, but perhaps explained why the restaurant was not very crowded at 6:30 on a Saturday evening.
Birthday celebration. Great experience and food.
Delicious and creative burgers. Our server, Cody, was super! He was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, attentive, really made the experience a great one. The live music made for a fun evening out.
My wife and I came in with our two young children last night. We had an enjoyable time, but we weren't blown away. The burgers were decent, but they seemed to be missing something. We both got the "Sheriff" which is a cheeseburger with a Jack Daniels sauce. It was decent, but there was no garnish on the burger, no bacon, etc...it was just kind of boring and needed something more. The fries were really good, and it is a comfortable atmosphere. Maybe I would enjoy a different burger more if I return.
It was a great night to sit on the patio. Service was excellent. Carson our waiter was very good and worked hard to make our dining experience enjoyable. This will become our new regular.
Steak tacos were way overcooked.
Yes I would recommend but my food did come out cold, we had a larger party that may have been the issue. They offered to remake but took it off the bill instead. My waitress was attentive, I was only bothered that manager didn’t inquire about the issue. I just feel if I have to pay extra for an item like sweet potato fries they should be hot at least warm when they arrive with my meal. They weren’t too busy for he/she to check with me. I usually don’t write reviews but thought I would share my experience.
Good burgers, good mix of food. Little pricey, but not too bad. Only complaint was live music was waaaay too loud for size of space, couldn’t hear anyone at my table.
Service was very good and cheerful! The Ted Turner with a friend egg was very good! We also had a burger with blue cheese and onion straws on it. Again very tasty!!
We had a reservation Saturday night at 7:15. We got there to hear the manager say to not sit anyone as the kitchen was behind. They told us that we would get a table as soon as one opened. After 30 mins of waiting we asked about our table as plenty were open and were told it would be another 30 mins. We left without being seated as we had three kids needing to eat. When I reinforced we had a reservation, I was told it’s an automated system and they don’t guarantee a table which has never been the case at any other restaurant using open table. Very disappointed at the lack of transparency when we arrived as we would have left right away.
Very good seasoning on the French fries, we enjoyed the live music and great selection of craft beers
Bar-b-que pulled pork sandwich was excellent!
There were four of us and we ordered a variety of food, from salads to burgers. The restaurant is located in Clay Terrace. The server forgot the bacon, lettuce and tomato on one of the burgers and after she was told, it took a long time to get it, by which time the burger was no longer hot (and was somewhat overdone, but at this point it was too late to send it back). One of the managers brought the forgotten items and he really tried to make up for the mistake. Everything else came out as ordered and was tasty. We liked the industrial décor (although it made it a bit loud) and the menu was varied enough to satisfy most tastes. We'll probably give them another chance.
