Prism – JACK Casino Cincinnati
The dining experience at this restaurant was excellent. We had the salmon with a shared side of mushrooms. For dessert we had chocolate layered cake with ice cream on the side which was absolutely delicious. Our server was very professional yet personable as well. We will definitely return to Prism at a future date. Highly recommended.
Very enjoyable meal. Our server Day was very attentive and so were the SA’s.
Food was wonderful tasting. Food temperature was also great. Servers were quite attentive. Paying with Casino comps were great also. Our server missed that we were there for a birthday
Birthday dinner for me and my twin sister. It was delightful and they sent us home with a piece of birthday cake too... Thank you for a positive experience for two older ladies....
Staff work well together so service flows seamlessly. Dined on the salmon, which was fall-apart tender. The stuffed baked potato was a meal in itself. Was a wonderful meal and relaxing!
Steak was severely undercooked and overall not great tasting. The food was warm when served which was disappointing. Overall just not impressed for the amount of money we spent.
Food was very good. Steaks comparable to top level places. Lobster bisque delicious. Service was great!! As with other steak houses at casino's and Jeff Ruby's bring your checkbook, lol.
Served spoiled it eaters :(
Food was excellent. Ambiance is lovely and the Piano player was talented and played a wonderful array of music. We like eating in the bar area as it is intimate and we simply adore our favorite bar tender/waiter, Rhett. He is super likeable, conscientious, hard worker and a really fine person. Plus he has a terrific sense of humor. And, with a great name like Rhett, he is one of a kind! Kudos to Prism!
Great meal as usual.
Seated promptly when we arrived. Our server was very quick and attentive throughout the entire meal (I think his name was Jamie). The bread and salads were excellent. The steaks (filets) and sides were good, but Jeff Ruby’s still has them beat on that front. Overall we had a very good experience at Prism.
I used my comp dollars but I’d rather go to one of the other steak houses in town if I were paying out of pocket. Just ok!
Delicious food, great ambiance, and live pianist made our evening perfect!
Waitress was very good and patient, especially given our challenging guest
The food and service was exceptional. Highlights were the prime NY strip and sea bass. Salads, calamari and bread also delicious. Background piano was a nice touch and wait staff was superb as well. My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful meal and experience!
Good food, very quick service and comfortable atmosphere.
Live music was quiet but a wonderful background noise! Food was AMAZING! Service was fantastic! Pricey place but definitely worth it!
This was our third time and it disappointed us again. The second time we went was fairly good but this last time I ordered the shrimp and grits and I I am from the south and and have had shrimp and grits many times but this had to have been the all-time disappointment. Very overcooked. The only thing that is consistently delicious is the bread. My husband had a caesar salad and it was mushy and drowned in dressing. Didn't think you could mess up a Caesar salad but they've managed to do a good job. It's a shame the food is so bad and the service is so great. Probably won't be going back. The only reason the value was good was because we used our comps we earned from the casino.
but only if they want to go to the casino and want convenience. Prism does not compare favorably with other up scale steak restaurants; maybe they don't strive to do so.
The Sea Bass dish is the best seafood meal I have ever had! I have been telling everyone about it! Perfection!!!
We have been to Prism many times and typically enjoyed it. This time my food was not good and the service was awful. I had a 8oz filet medium and baked potato, my friend had 8oz filet and the BLT salad. My steak was a bit more done than I’d like , but more it was dry and stringy. The potato was lukewarm and the BLT salad had barely any tomato or bacon. We had Jean Claude as our server who had brought our drinks and refilled them once prior to receiving food. After that we never saw him again until bill was brought. We did however see him waiting on large group that had come in and sat in back of restaurant which didn’t allow us to share the issues we had with food. The table behind us had a very tentative server as well as others who were assisting him. I frequent Favorites at Belterra Park and this is why I will continue. I am very disappointed after spending over 100.00 for this meal. I did not comp this we paid so even more frustrating.
Excellent food and service.
My server was fantastic! He anticipated my every need! He remembered me from a previous visit! I think his name was Ludovic. Sorry if incorrect! He was an amazing server. I will definitely be back!!
Great food, nice view of downtown. No pressure service.
First timers at the casino and The Prism Restaurant. We'll be back. Made the trip from Louisville recommended by friends that have been many times. Everything they said about the place was true. Clean, friendly and convenient location from interstate. The only thing missing......sure wish they had a hotel at the casino, but, definitely not a problem. Stayed at a place on the next exit and cab ride to and from was very reasonable. To top it off we......make that, my wife won. So that made the trip back a little more enjoyable. And to top that off even more, Coach Mark Stoops was also having dinner at The Prism and got to have a few friendly words with him. (Remember, we're from Louisville) Very nice.
Food overpriced and steak had a lot of fat. Sea bass was in a bowl with broth. Not what I was expecting.
I was very excited to try this restaurant for my birthday. Much to my chagrin, it was a total disappointment. We spent over $300 on this dinner and left irritated.
Service: The server was very nice but almost non-existent. She didn't know how to pace out a meal. She should have been guiding us through the dinner and noticing when something wasn't right. We guided her through the dinner when she would even show up to the table.
Cocktails: Ordered a classic dirty gin martini....terrible. The gin was bruised, ice left in the glasses and barely any olive juice. This is a standard drink and your bartenders....I'm sure pouring beer and wine is more their speed which is not ok for a restaurant of this style
Food: Presentation was sparse and unappealing. The sear on the steaks was almost non-existent. Sides were oily...you couldn't even taste the flavor of the shishito peppers or the brussel sprouts. Calamari was cold and under seasoned and the sauces had no taste what-so-ever.
Dress Code: Was touted as business casual. There were people in sneakers, jeans, and hoodies. I was looking for a nice evening out for my bday...I might as well have been dining at Longhorn with the way the dress code was on top of everything aforementioned.
I will NEVER come back to this establishment. I would have been better off taking my $300 to a blackjack table and losing the money than spending a dime in this restaurant.
Tried new appetizer small ravioli bits very good will get again. Service outstanding.
A night out for my wife and I at a place we had never been.
Our server, Jamie, was very friendly. The food was excellent. Had a nice dinner in a pleasant atmosphere
Waiter was super attentive and very polite and helpful person. I ordered a bone in ribeye and was definitely not worth the $62 for it and it was almost raw when I ordered it medium rare. The atmosphere is also very loud music playing where it made it difficult to hear my date’s conversation. If I went again I would order a burger at the bar as much better steak houses around town to spend over $200 at for a great steak
We went on a Saturday night. The live music was WAY to loud for a steakhouse. The steaks were good and the Bearnaise was delicious. The Shrimp Cocktail and Crab Leg were disappointing from a value perspective. We were not thrilled with either salad choice. The service was very good. Overall, it's definitely a notch below any Ruby's steakhouse, but as a last minute option it was good. Just PLEASE turn down the live music volume!
Love this restaurant, great service and food. Only suggestion is to lower overall lights in the dining area.
Double birthday dinner...food & service were both outstanding and dessert was excellent! Like Prism very much for special or stop in dinners.
I love this place. We went for my birthday and our server Jean Claude was fantastic. Made me the tastiest birthday cheesecake ever. Me and my hubby both had the NY strip steak and it was fantastic as well as the sides and the amazing bread. I've been here a handful of times and I don't like a super quiet restaurant but there was a table seated next to us, a couple and then a woman with them. She was the loudest person I have ever heard with the craziest, loudest laugh. She said the f word probably 20 times (loudly) and I can't imagine me and my husband were the only people that heard her. I'm really surprised that no patrons complained or that any of the Prism staff said something to her. That was the only thing that put a damper on the evening but we still had a great time and a really nice meal.
First & last time to this restaurant
Why do you make reservations & wait 45 minutes to get a table. Poor service
So glad Hard Rock bought this casino. Maybe they will make Cincinnati better
Update ... Erik the Manager of prism left me a message & said sorry for bad service & would like to invite me back for dinner. I have left 2 messages & now his box is full. I texted him also...
But.... Erik you looked great on the early news in Cincinnati.
Very disappointing in jacks & their management
Absolutely the best 30th birthday surprise that my son could have had. Eric and Jamie made the night, that could have been a disaster, the best experience ever. The food and the service were excellent.
Thank you for a wonderful evening
Some of our food was not warm. I ordered French onion soup. Very disappointed. It was served in a hollowed out onion. It was barely warm. There were about 4 tablespoons of soup for $10.00. Waiter was ok in the beginning but as it got busier not as good of service. New York strip steak did not appear to be a New York strip cut. We had two at our table and both people were disappointed. We have been there before and e joyed our dinner. This time not as happy.
Last time I was here food was great. This time under new management. Hard Rock Casino the baked potatoe wasn't cooked enough and the steaks were tender but extremely dry. Big disappoonted
