Post theater dinner so probably quieter than at peak times, which was nice. Salumi board was huge. Enough for 4. Good value.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The appetizers were delicious and the dinner plate presentation was great but I felt that the rabbit was a little over cooked and the duck could have been cooked more. But, overall, I will be back for sure!
I highly recommend including the pre theater prix fixe. The food was delicious, service extraordinary and the ambiance was delightful.
easy to access from west side highway for out of towners
The food was really good, awful service. The ambiance was nice, but I will not go back again and I will not recommend to friends either. The only way to get back if I have a friend I have not seen in a long time and I need a quiet place to chat, the servers were pretty annoying.
In comparison to the Kimpton's restaurant in Austin (Geraldine's), Print felt more spacious and easier to navigate through. My friends and I ordered some of their specialty cocktails, which were pricey - but worth it. For food, they got the grilled octopus starter and winter squash ravioli. I went with the marinated olives starter and roasted chicken. We were very hungry and grateful for the fast service. After dinner, we were granted "front of the line" access to Press Lounge, which has the most divine view. All in all, we were quite satisfied with our meal.
We were at Print for a celebration, and as I’d requested, we were placed where the noise level was low enough so that we were able to converse easily among ourselves. The service was excellent and our drinks (especially the maple old fashioneds that most of ordered) were very good.
I’d read about being charged for the bread, and despite knowing it, I really feel that it’s in bad taste for a restaurant at this price point to charge $5 for just barely enough bread for each person at the table to have a slice. I bake bread at home and know how little it costs to bake a loaf. Not going to go on about this, but it’s one of the things that really will stick with me and likely deter me from returning. Small things can sometimes mean a lot.
Now about the food. Overall, it was very good. We shared three appetizers among the six of us. The octopus was great, as were the lamb meatballs. A comment here: it seems many restaurants, this one included, feel it’s sensible - or best for their bottom line - to give an odd number of meatballs in their orders, when most tables are even numbers of people. How about making your order an even number so it’s easier to share? The buratta was very bland. But I guess it usually is. So nothing special there, in my opinion.
Two of us had scallops for the main dish and they seemed to be very well liked. Two of us had the duck. The breast was really too rare. It was chewy, making it less delicious than the accompanying crispy portion. The fruit sauce was very tasty - I would have liked a bit more of it. The mushroom dumplings were just ok, with nothing particularly special about it.
Finally, we shared three desserts: the creme brûlée, the bananas foster and the baba rum. None of them was really exceptional. The bananas foster was really banana ice cream sitting in a pool of very potent espresso. The creme brûlée was microscopic. And the baba had to be sent back to get the sauce put on it.
Overall a four star rating is generous, I’d say.
Long way out of town for an average hotel meal. Wouldn't go back
Perfect perfect perfect!
What an amazing experience! I do not understand why this restaurant does not have a Michelin star!??
C’était excellent. La service était très diligent et sympa.
Amazing food .. service .. a totally excellent evening ;)
Service was bad starting at the hostess station. She had a vacuous look and couldn't even crack a smile to greet us. And we were the second party to be seated for lunch!
Then our server acted as if we were inconveniencing her to ask her for food and beverages...you know, her job. She wasn't friendly, didn't smile, and wasn't personable AT ALL. There was plenty of room all around the table, but she kept reaching her arm across various members of our party to place and remove plates, etc. Move around the table!! She also had these crazy long nails and couldn't pick up anything from the table.
Lastly, the busser/runner kept filling the water glasses while they were on the table, thereby dripping water all over the place. Instead, pick up the glasses to refill them off the table. Easy!
Quail was fantastic and well deboned, sauce very flavorful and risotto cooked perfectly, very satisfied. Very attentive staff
I took my boyfriend to Print for his birthday, the service, atmosphere, food and wine selections was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and go back. Everyone from the hostess to the manager was very friendly and helpful, we also went upstairs to the rooftop lounge which also excellent.
Great wait staff, food was received by all with satisfaction. I will recommend this restaurant to everybody.
Great ambiance and service! Highly recommend this place.
The service was great and the atmosphere was excellent, food was delicious not a long wait for the food. The price was very reasonable I will definitely go again...
We went to eat here for my sister's birthday and they were fantastic! They handed her a handwritten card when we were first seated, and at the end of our meal, they brought out a special dessert that had "Happy Birthday" written into the chocolate! It really made her feel special and made our night!
Surprisingly good food in a hotel setting. I would come here for the chefs fresh take on classics such as Celery Root Soup or the blood orange salad.
Food was fantastic and dinner provides access to the rooftop Press Lounge.
I'm not sure how to even begin to fully express my overwhelming appreciation and gratefulness to the restaurant as well as my waiter (Which I apologize but I can not remember his name -- So patient, so sweet, Hispanic with dark hair) and the incredible manager Raiyna ! My 30th Birthday Dinner Celebration on Saturday superseded all my expectations and more!! I humbly Thank you all for making my birthday celebration this year the greatest!!! I am stilling dreaming about the ohh so dangerously delectable mouth watering Roasted Chicken I had as well as the assortment of sorbets with the cone-- why didn't I order some to go??!! But I am more the willing to take a flight back to New York just for that!! The modern Chic vibe to The Elegant sophistication of artwork to the vibrant of colors that had this warm and Radiance to it, simply left me Feeling completely Royal. The entire venue in itself was so magical I was always at a lost for words!!
BEST NIGHT EVER!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!! 😭😭❤❤🙏🙏
We did make our reservation can you please correct it
I've been to a lot of places in NYC and am familiar with pricing, but $5 for bread and 2 pats of "herbed" butter is just hilarious! and $8 for a ramekin of olives is equally silly. the $17 salad was just pathetic. i can take pretentious, but, i'm sorry. too pretentious.
Print is well worth the walk over to 11th Avenue. The food was excellent and the service was great. It's definitely going on my list of favorites.
This was the perfect spot for a birthday dinner. We went to The Press Lounge before dinner to watch the sunset and have a drink and Print then exceeded our expectations and was the best end to a wonderful night.
Amazing food. Caters to dietry restrictions. Staff very friendly and attentitive.
Service and food was excellent, this is a perfect spot for date night!
I met a friend for lunch at Print. I made a reservation, but there were plenty of tables on a Friday afternoon. The food was good and fairly priced. The waitress was friendly. It is a bit off the beaten path on 11th Ave and 48th Street. Other than that, I would repeat.
HD a delightful dinner service and food excellent.
Wonderful experience! Men should put this one on the list when looking for a great date experience. The food is well portioned and delicious. Make sure to plan for a drink at the roof top bar at the Ink Hotel. The views are amazing and cocktail excellent. Great proposal spot if you find yourself in the mood with that special someone.
Overall the experience was good, since it was our first Valentine's day date , I expected the place to be more cozy but it was full and hence noisy. The food was the highlight, chicken breast was amazing and even the meat balls. This place is perfect for casual dinner.
This Restaurant was unbelievable. The service is outstanding! I will be back. Keep up the wonderful job.
It was outstanding and worth the 3 mile round trip walk from our herald square hotel in the rain.
Ate at Print on a Saturday night pre--theatre. Print is a bit out of the way and inside Hotel 48. Definitely a vibe of mostly out-of-towners (most likely hotel guests). Pretty crowded for so early a dinner (it was around 5:30). Really pretty restaurant with active bar scene. Tried to sell us "home made" bread when we first sat down which was a bit tacky. We had a great tabouli salad and then I had black sea bass entrée which was excellent. Only bottled beers which is a bummer and expensive ($11 for a pilsner!). Cocktails also on expensive side ($15-$20) but this can be expected in a NYC hotel. May not be greatest value overall but really a nice spot if you are in the neighborhood.
Wow! We’re delighted that we chose to eat here as we’d initially intended to just have a cocktail in the bar upstairs. We LOVED the food. The best lamb I’ve had in years. We had the best night - thank you!
This restaurant offers a great opportunity for audible conversation while enjoying delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend!
I met a friend who was in town for a trade show at the Javits Center. The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding (except it took awhile for us to get our check! So they were not hurrying us out the door...). I had the parsnip/apple soup, which was perfect for a cold winter night. My friend did as well. Main course was the chicken which was beautifully prepared- really great comfort food. My friend had the scallops. Both main courses were delicious. Portion sizes were perfect, not skimpy, but not a huge plateful either. We shared the creme brulee for dessert- perfect as well. The decor is understated with great lighting and comfortable seating. I highly recommend Print.
A great ambiance and very acceptable noise level for a business meeting. Tables are not one on top of another. Professional and friendly service--manager check with us twice to be sure all is well. Food was outstanding!
