   We had a delicious, fun dinner. We loved every dish. Each was innovative and perfectly executed. The wines were exceptional. Our waiter, Megan, was delightful. We had the perfect seats, where we could watch the magic happening in the kitchen. The chef kindly humored us as we left. It was a fantastic evening.

   The quality of the food was amazing. My niece and I ordered the Sushi appetizer special and the Tuna was definitely very tasty. Our waitress made some very good recommendations for our side dishes such as the roasted brussel sprouts and the potatoes were made like pancakes as they were delicious. The main entrees of elk and the kangaroo loin were absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant but, be prepared for a pricey meal. Definitely a place to go for wild game dishes.

   We were traveling through Durango on our way home from California and decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at Primus. What a great birthday celebration! Lauren, our server, was not only exceptional, but made the evening special with her attentiveness, warmth and desire to bring a smile to our faces. Thank you Lauren, what a nice evening. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the food was that my dish was less than outstanding for it's price. The rabbit loin encotte was exactly as it was described, but for the price, it just wasn't memorable. The loin was small and overwhelmed by the rest of the preperation. Also, the wild mushroom salad came as "more salad and not nearly enough mushrooms" for a dish that is described as a "wild mushroom salad" On the other hand, my wife's ostrich was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious and the chiffon cake and toasted coconut deserts were devine. As far as value is concerned, be prepared to spend a few dollars, but other than my entree, Primus is well worth it.

   Our waiter Trevor was very knowledgeable about the menu. Made exceptional recommendations and really contributed to the overall experience. Very cute and quaint setting, great wine selection. Food was A++. Definitely have to go back, in order to try more of the menu.

    The octopus appetizer was okay. Of the 4 entrees we got two were good. Of the three Desserts we chose none of them were good. Overall not a good experience. We will not be going back and would not recommend it. We left saying Red Lobster does Lobster better..

    Best place for game meat and fine wine in town. The menu structure is innovative and allows dinners to be creative. I recommend familiarizing yourself with the menu before arrival. It is a tight seating arrangement which we enjoyed but may not be for everyone. The octopus appetizer is excellent and the game (elk & bison) were cooked perfectly. Get the brussel sprouts and squash sides.

    This place isn’t my cup of tea. Maybe it’s just me and maybe I’m not a foodie. Everything seemed way too salty. And yeah, we knew the prices when we went but this place is simply seriously overpriced.

    Incredible food, fantastic service. Trevor was very knowledgeable and helped us figure out wine pairings for our food. He also described food we eventually ordered perfectly. Of particular note was his description of the kangaroo—perfectly on point.

    It is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. I had the pickled beet salad (half salad was plenty to share). I had the the lobster mac, it was delicious! Not anything like mac and cheese. My husband had the lobster & scallops and a side of brussel sprouts. Everything was outstanding. For a special occasion we will dine here again. Our server was very friendly. My husband almost ordered the Smoked Sea Bass & Scallop Mousse; thankfully our server explained that it is mousse because he would have regretted ordering mousse for his entree.

    10 minutes sat waiting for server, then neglectful throught meal unless we asked for something. Every dish and side was over the top seasoned with way too many things. Ordered scallops and got 3 1/2 for $58. Not told specials, no offer for dessert. Plates and menus left on table entire time. Constantly asked for refills. At this price I expect more.     This was my second visit. Our food and service were both excellent! The wait staff was very knowledgeable. It seems since my last visit they added a restaurant service tax of 5% and food was quite a bit more expensive, just saying.

    Probably the most creative menu in the Four Corners area! My wife had kangaroo which was prepared beautifully and my Schnitzel was excellent. Small space upstairs and correspondingly loud, but thats on us with the short notice reservation - downstairs is much quieter. The pistachio creme brulee wasnt our favorite, but still an excellent meal all around!

    This is an amazing place! Seriously, one of the best meals I’ve had in many years! The service was just great too, with a very knowledgeable wait person (Toby); she was wonderful! I really can’t recommend this place enough. The scallops were incredible and the crème brûlée has a hint of Jalapeño…, I know, sounds strange, but REALLY works. Try Primus, it will be a meal you remember for a long time!

    Our 4th time enjoying this amazing dining experience. I’ve tried a different entrees each time and am continually amazed at the level of skill of this chef and staff. Every component of each dish is layered with flavor and surprise. The wine list is great and your server will suggest something That perfectly pairs with your food. I can’t wait to return!

    This is the absolute best restaurant in town! We have been in Durango many times and since we discovered it on out last trip we had to come back! It should have Michelin stars! It is that good!

    Enjoyable dinner. We sat upstairs and watched the chef did his magic in the Kitchen. The spice and flavors in the food is beautiful... Very flavorful! The portion is a bit too large for me but all and all a good stop for dinner visit in Durango, CO.

    Excellent meal. Maddie was the best server. Not a fan of the cyber menu. I know it’s cheaper but a fine dining restaurant deserves a real menu.
