Primrose at The Henderson
Anniversary dinner with family. Food and service was great.
Great food coupled with excellent service. a winning combination.
Overall, the price and value do not live up to the lack of service and bland food. Would not eat there again.
The broth in the steamed clams had no flavor. The redfish was excellent.
We had high hopes dining for our anniversary while on vacation and we were slightly disappointed. Service was just ok but no where near other upscale steakhouses. I had the fattiest piece of filet I’ve ever had, crab bisque missed the mark. The macaroni and cheese was great though. Overall didn’t think it lived up to what we paid.
Wine order was messed up wrong on two different occasions, but they took care of it in the end. Just the hassle.
Our experience at the Primrose was outstanding from beginning to end. The server explained everything that we questioned and more. All our food items were good and were served timely yet allowing us time to talk and enjoy our evening. The food presentations indicated an attention to details that was appreciated.
Jessica tried to make our anniversary pleasant but eating here is stressful. I had to leave once. I was there 30 minutes before a drink arrived. Maybe young Jessica can fix the service. The food is awesome, service horrible. I highly recommend eating across the street at Beachwalk to see how it’s done. Please go over there and learn.
Overall quality not there for the price
Very good service
Very expensive meal without a lot of flavor or amount. I paid $32 for a very small piece of salmon that was a bit overcooked.
Good service, not overly friendly staff. Crab hushpuppies were great. Mac n cheese, not much flavor. Lobster mash was average. Grouper was good, portion was minuscule, smallest 8 ounces I ever had.
Try it sometime.
Outstanding service and food! I was very impressed with the entire experience. Highly recommend.
Good food and great service; set outside which made for an outstanding breakfast experience
This restaurant is promising with a few adjustments. First the roaster cauliflower appetizer was fabulous. But it would have been helpful if they had brought out plates with our appetizers. We had to use our bread plates which we were already using for bread. 2nd..they need to offer a house salad other than a just a Caesar. The beet salad was awful. Simply a plate full of chopped beets with goat cheese...maybe add some mixed greens. It was too much. The daily market fish was actually a fish special rather than a “catch of the day”...I would revise this on the menu. No vegetarian options at all. The sushi menu was very pricey and nothing particularly special. Some type of combo would be great...but pure a la crate for sushi was way too expensive. Finally for being the “fancy” restaurant it was full of screaming kids..kind of took away from the ambiance when there was a more casual option they could have taken young children to. It will be a while before we come back.
Red Snapper was fabulous. Variety of sauces (lemongrass, citrus salsa, horseradish, etc) made it. Sides were a little under-salted, but really enjoyed the food. Anastasia was a great server who gave detailed explanations of food choices. Best meal we’ve eaten in a long time.
Great food! Great ambience!
Fantastic anniversary meal. Red Snaper was superb. Todd was an amazing server. Highly recommend. Thanks
Everyone was super friendly and the venue is lovely as is the entire hotel, but that's about it. My fiancee's Seafood stew was bland. I ordered a bunless burger patty, cooked medium and it came charred all the way through and was also flavorless. They had a great price on their Rombauer Zinfandel, though.
Food was very good but portions are very small
We had trouble finding the restaurant and it was raining lightly. After I called they went out of their way to find us and drive us to the door. Architecture is outstanding, and service and the food were excellent. We had a very memorable experience.
Our dinner was amazing from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend dining there.
No snapper sadly, sub was red fish
The service was great at both a breakfast and dinner trip. Christian and Todd did an exceptional job taking care of us. There are not many choices on the menu and the food is okay but pricey for the quality.
The Snapper and French fries were great! Everything else we ordered was just ok. We had a pretty good server outside of my husband having to ask for another fork to eat the entree with because his others were collected with the table clean up between each course. Stunning views and atmosphere, but too dark in the area we sat in for photos.
People who work here are all happy and satisfied staff, honest and willing to make it a memorable evening. Food is great too, and decoration amazing. It comes with a price tag.
The food was really good. A little disappointed that we didn't know that they do not serve sushi on Monday and Tuesday's. (A tip for everyone!!) We were finished eating by the time our bottle of wine arrived, but they allowed us to take the rest home since we were done eating. Yes I will go back!
Ambience excellent, service good and food was very good but incredibly overpriced even for a hotel. We will not return and will not recommend to others.
Oysters were beyond amazing! Restaurant and hotel beautiful. Curious about dinner!!
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was ok.
It seemed a bit pretentious for a nearly empty restaurant.
great upscale ambiance and while the portions are fairly small, very delicious.
Charming hotel and restaurant. The entrees were delicious although they were out of two of them the evening we had dinner. The seafood platter was one of a kind and amazing.
Staff did not understand our coffee request as my husband ordered an Americano and received an espresso. I ordered a cappuccino and it was served along with creamer. The cappuccino was delicious. We plan on going back.
Vacation with our family. Great experience.
Went early before the dinner rush at 5pm and had whole restaurant to ourselves and food/service was amazing.
Tuesday was excellent. We went back Thursday because we were staying there. Thursday, food was ok and service very slow, not at all line the first trip.
The place itself is beautifully appointed. The food was great, I'd definitely recommend as a dining option while in the Destin/Sandestin area. Now the service was absolutely horrible. Not sure if they were inexperienced or if this was an entirely new staff, horrible. Everyone kept themselves busy with everything other than being attentive to the customers. Water glasses stayed empty, had to ask for bread service, cracked pepper, extra condiments, etc... The place wasn't crowded and it took us over 2 hours to enjoy a salad, entree and a single round of cocktails. Again, food and ambiance was outstanding., but the service, anyone off the street could have provided much better table service that the staff did. Sorely disappointed.
The grouper was not fresh! It was over cooked. The wahoo was extremely overcooked. Overall the food was terrible. Will not return.
Food average. Service excellent. Atmosphere very nice. $155 with tip and valet parking for 2 dinners, 1 appetizer, 2 drinks, no dessert or coffee. A bit high for the quality of food. For the price there are better local options.
As a side note, to be such a nice, exclusive appearing resort structure, as we were leaving restaurant there was a shirtless guest in shorts and no shoes getting on elevator in main lobby along with folks in ragged blue jeans, t shirts, etc at desk. Just saying...
Always excellent food and service. Sushi is amazing and desert is worth saving room!
