Primo Trattoria Italiana is a bright and welcoming eatery in North Miami that serves authentic classic dishes to delighted diners. A crisp insalata di spinaci with cranberries, almonds and gorgonzola cheese makes a phenomenal appetizer option. Primo Trattoria Italiana crafts panini sandwiches for an excellent lunch choice, such as the Caprese with basil, mozzarella and tomatoes. Pasta dishes are always a major hit with the restaurant's popular homemade gnocchi, meaty lasagna bolognese or the mushroom ravioli. Tasty artisan pizzas with and scrumptious desserts can also be found on the menu.
Primo Trattoria Italiana offers weekday lunch specials and has a lovely patio for outdoor seating. It also offers online ordering for delivery or pickup services.
Very good Italian food. Fresh pasta and ingredients. The menu is a bit limited, but what was there was done well and served with pride of family ownership. If I lived here it would go into my monthly rotation.
Close your eyes and you're in a hole in the wall restaurant in Italy. Owners and waitstaff are so kind. Amazing food and wine for very affordable prices. Highly recommend.
The Marsala sauce was poor, vegetable lasagna was fair, waitress was more interested in sitting at a table with he friends than minimal service
We expected a restaurant. It's more of a pizza place with tables. The food was good; the service was charming, excellent. But, we expected a real restaurant, not a dining room.
My first time at this place, it has a very comfortable, the service was impeccable, the food delicious, we ordered the special stuffed mushrooms, and main dish spaghetti with clams a delight, will be one of the places where return will be a pleasure.
This small modest restaurant served up one of the best Italian meals our party of 7 had ever experienced. Gnocchi was light and tasty, eggplant and chicken parmigian were tender and delicious, salmon was fresh, veal marsala flavorful. and the crispy focaccia-like flatbread they serve as bread to the table - out of this world! Don't judge the place by the outside, tucked in a non descript strip mall in North Miami - not much to look at. But inside, the atmosphere, service, food and ambiance were outstanding.
Our family visited on Valentine's Day. It was apparent the staff was overwhelmed. The food was mediocre while the service was not the best. When ordering an antipasto dish, one shouldn't have to ask for bread. When ordering a pasta dish, one shouldn't have to ask for more bread or cheese (it should be offered). As for water …. our glasses were always empty. The meal took longer than it should have and you would think our check would have promptly been given to us so they could turn the table over but we had to ask for that too. Maybe they were having an "off" night. As an Italian family who likes to eat out Italian dishes that may not be fixed at home, we'll find another Italian restaurant.
Lovely people, friendly service, enjoyable food cooked to our taste. It was an evening to remember and we are prompted to go back to savor what new specials Saverio, Ulyana and staff may have in store.
Small Italian family restaurant, owned and operated by an Italian family, mother cooks, daughters serve the tables.
Food is very taste, portions excellent size, prices are very affordable.
Hemos cenado con mi esposa en un lugar con concepto familiar. Cuando regresemos A Miami será un lugar para regresar sin dudar.
Primo's is an amazing find! The food is the best Italian food we have had since our last trip to Italy. The ingredients are incredible. The menu has so many choices. We allowed the server to pick an antipasto for the table and it was delicious and set the tone for a fantastic meal. The entire staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The restaurant only wants to please it's guests. This IS A MUST TRY!
Great food and service. Inexpensive and delicious house wine.
The good was good but the place was empty. One other table besides ours.
There is no greater civilized pleasure than a good meal. A recent evening out validates this thesis. We three sat down to supper at 7pm one recent Saturday evening, a start-up CEO, a professor, and a psychoanalyst. Primo Trattoria Italiano welcomed us and helped reconstitute our intimate and affectionate circle. We lingered for three hours over our meal. I shall not attempt to describe the culinary delights. Where food is concerned more powerful than any words are imagination and memory. I will simply say that the fumes of a bottle of Campogiovanni 2008 Brunello Di Montalcino dispelled the strangeness which affects even the closest of friends, and any gloomy shadows that clung to us from the world that tries us even as we love it vanished.
We really had a great dinner,
The food was special, The owners are very friendly and pay special attention to all of
Us (both adults and children)... We will surely
go back there in many other occasions !
Good food in friendly family atmosphere.
Primo is as close as you can get to being in Italy! The food is amazing, as is the service, and it seems very popular among Italian people which is a great sign of authentic food!
Drove all the way from S Miami to eat there and will do it again!
It is more than a simple pizza place. Very well prepared Southern Italian cuisine. The Marsala and scarpiello
Dishes were excellent and they had good wines and a pleasant
