If you are a fine wine enthusiast, you need to droo in. They have the corvin system that allows you to enjoy fine older reds (10 to 20 + years old) by the glass!

The 55 day dry aged ribeye Rare with a nice char is one if the best steaks wver!

Fantastic

Outstanding service and food. I highly recommend the Ceasar Salad which is prepared table side, the Delmonico Steak and the Creamy Greens.

I've always enjoyed the menu at Primehouse. The steaks were exceptional this time, as always. However, my friends and I were slightly disappointed that the pop-over bread is no longer on the menu. The bread is definitely one of the highlights and unique thing about Primehouse. The sourdough bread is something that we find at every other restaurants and it wasn't that great compared to other places we've been at. The overall experience was still great, because we obviously came for the steak, not the bread, but definitely something I was looking forward to coming back for.

Delicious food in a great atmosphere! We loved the Caesar salad prepared tableside. The strip steak was flavorful and well proportioned. The food was beautifully presented by an attentive staff.

We were unable to have a drink pre-bear game was a disappointment, as so many other bars and restaurants in the area have bar service Sunday am, good food, not a surprise restaurant was empty due to their restricted liquor license

Service was excellent. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff collaborate as an impressive team. Super attentive. We had not expedienced dry aged before and after the first experience we are not fans. It doesnt help that although the ribeye came medium rare as ordered, the strip also ordered medium rare came medium to well. The salads were wonderful. Great presentation and taste. Sides were tasty though very modest portions. Fortunately an additional side came out compliments of the house.

We had a great first-time experience. I have a food allergy and our waiter was extremely in tune with everything on the menu and was very helpful and accommodating; worry free dining is hard to find sometimes. We made a reservation got seated right away. It was a quite night and we had excellent food and excellent service!

To whom it might be concerned,

Hope you are doing great! Would like to share with you our experience, so you can improve.

First Impression is extremely poor. Felt judged by look by the hostess.

Our server Jackie (Jack) was amazing! Great knowledge about food and wines, was excellent. Food was delicious.

However, experience with hostess ruined all experience. Hostess gave bad looks about most of the customers while looking at colleagues and walking them to the table.

I am working in Park Hyatt in California and my partner is working in The Peninsula Chicago and we were extremely disappointed.

Inform your hostess not to give a look to people from head to the bottom. She looked how we dressed, our jewelry. Felt very uncomfortable. Training will be appropriate.

Best Regards,
Anna Shirshova

We were visiting Chicago and heard great reviews about Primehouse. I can only say that our meal was superb. The steak melted in my mouth and the favor was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Chicago. The staff was also an added extra bonus. Very knowledgeable and friendly!!

Not what it was... they cut corners and dumped the wonderful popovers they used to have for a stale bun. Won't be back anytime soon... they had a huge number of tables open when we arrived, I know why now.

We went here (9/11/17 6:30 table of 3)on the recommendation of a coworker who had visited in 2015. Upon arrival, it looked like a standard hotel steakhouse. That being said, it was actually far from. It would be an understatement to say it was the best steak (35 day KC Strip) I've ever had (and I've had plenty). We asked about the dry aging process and were invited to take a tour of the storing area. Everything we saw was explained in great detail. It was refreshing to SEE that what we were promised was actually what we were getting...NOT a marketing gimmick.
I apologize for not having names of staff to thank. Kudos to all 11/10.

Hands down best steak we have ever had! 35 day Kansas City strip is the one to get. It's big enough to split and it won't disappoint. We ordered it medium rare like we would a filet. It was tender and better than any filet we've ever had. Order some wine and a couple of sides and you won't be disappointed.

We've been going to David Burke's Prime House for years. Last Friday went for my wife's birthday and found out it is no longer David Burke's. It's just Prime House. And it's just not good. The steaks were barely fair, and I had to send mine back because the meat quality was terrible. The potatoes had no taste. And they no longer serve the popovers. Now that it's no longer associated with David Burke, it's not longer anywhere near the same restaurant. Expect for the prices. Those are still as they used to be . . . high. Won't go back. It's the disappointing end to what was a very special restaurant.

We had a family dinner here as we were in town for the air show. The food is great. I am happy that they have kept the tableside Caesar salad but sad they no longer have the cheesecake lollipops or fill your own doughnuts. They steaks were incredible as were the desserts. We will definitely come back again.

I've enjoyed Primehouse very much in the past. And I was fine that it is no longer tied to David Burke. However, the service was very slow, and there were only 2 other tables while we were there for 3 hours. And the meal wasn't that great. We were excited to see the tableside Caesar still on the menu, yet it was just a so-so salad. We asked to see the salt/meat drying room as we had done in the past and the waiter disappeared to ask and never came back.

Amazing dinner. We spent about $300 for the two of us for an anniversary celebration. The service is superior. Our server, Kevin, was great at explaining the different foods. We started with half a dozen oysters and received a set of oysters from 3 different regions. The bread and butter provided was delicious. Coffee was strong and plentiful. We decided to do a 55 day dry aged steak each and it was DELICIOUS! Learning about the dry age process made us have to try. We added the Mac and cheese as well as mashed potatoes. The flavor was phenomenal. We were STUFFED but had to try dessert. We ordered the creme brûlée and million dollar cake. The pastry chef even added a "happy anniversary" message to our plate to personalize it. We definitely over ate but we're able to walk it off! This place is a must try but be prepared to spend a small fortune!

What a total disappointment! Over rated, the steak was average and over priced. Typically when we visit Chicago we enjoy the Chop House, which is always perfect, but this time decided to try Primehouse, what a mistake, the seafood tower was a flop, unless you enjoy dry flavorless seafood. The Caesar salad was ok, and the steaks (porterhouse & rib eye) simply ok.. Not worth the money nor time.
