It is adequate but convenient
Very varied menu - in cuisine and portion sizes. Good food, better than expected for "bar food." Location so convenient to the Lyric, and service so fast, that we got to opera house in time to check coats :).
Good place for a business lunch - big room but not too loud- easy to have a discussion. Large menu with a lot of variety and daily specials.
We came here for a dinner with a group of 5 of us. It's always a fun energetic happy hour atmosphere. We had a booth in the back - had some wine, apps and dinner. Our server was very nice.
The food taste, quality, presentation, and portions were all wonderful. We were a party of two and both enjoyed our meals.
The service was pleasant and friendly.
The experience was wonderful.
Empty place. Good food. Good Service
Prices are high, food was meh, service was meh. Used to be reliable but apparently they have now adopted the Randolph Tavern mediocrity playbook. Disappointing.
I dine here several times a month and it's great every time!
Portions were great, atmosphere was awesome, food was PHENOMENAL. Service was good
Food was fairly average, nothing done exceptionally. The fish dish I ordered was prepared well, however the fish was previously frozen.
The ambience was great and beer selection also great. The food was average and too cool should have been heated more. Taste was bland and service was slow. Overall ok I would like to try other menu items to see if the food quality is better. only other complaint was the restaurant was very cold something to do with the building attached not running the heat on the weekend, really?
It was nice. The drinks were really good. The food was good but not for the price.
Our reservation was for 7:15 pm on a Saturday evening. We we entered the Primebar and saw it was almost entirely empty, I was already afraid. As we tried to order drinks we learned that some of our choices, which were on the menu, were not available. This pattern continued as we ordered entres. Once the food arrived, it was not properly prepared. My taco meal was cold. The salad of one of my friends was spoiled. There server was obviously not proud of the restaurant and appeared to be sick (occasional cough). Not a great experience.
Took a while to get initially served! Food was great!
The tot-choes were great as were the prime rib sliders and horseradish crusted salmon.
Close to theater, decent food, service lacking. Waitress forgot to bring extra sauce as requested, had limited helpful suggestions when asked about the menu. Seems to be more focused on the bar than functioning as a restaurant.
This was only my second time at Primebar, but I will definitely be back. We were seated very promptly and had excellent service through our entire (long) lunch. We ordered an array of appetizers as well as a salad, and everything was delicious.
Food was delicious with a very sizable and diverse menu. Staff was attentive and the meals were quick in delivery.
Pleasant place to have a meal! Enjoyed our meal and price was great!
Fantastic, next time we won’t sit in a booth if we want quiet time. I will definitely be returning
Fast. Good food. Friendly
Convened my team to celebrate the start of a new hire... We're always delighted with the food and service at Primebar. It's our top pick for most special occasions. -Ernie
It was a perfect spot for us before attending the Opera. Our food was good. The space is big and roomy. Good wine list. Our server was very good.
We went to Primebar based on location (near theatre) and good reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and the service was great. I would go there again anytime.
We had a large party pre theater and the service was poor. Meals arrived late and we needed to hunt down server to get drink refills and take our dinner order.
The manager apologized and provided a discount to compensate. Our feedback was handled well.
Usually a favorite but on this date service and food preparation (of one my staples) was subpar. The male waiter disappeared and we had to flag down someone else to help us to order and give us our bill. The meal I get was matted and apparently overcooked. I'll still go back but make sure I don't get the same waiter.
Great lunch spot during the work week, service is a little inattentive and slow even though the restaurant wasn't too busy. The food is great and prices are decent for the downtown area.
Great food and Renee was a great server. Can’t ask for better
Our group of 5 had a fabulous dinner at Primebar. All the entire we had were supurb. The service was great. Loved the location, close to the theatres were we headed next. Highly recommended.
Substandard food and menu. Really just making it based on their location.
Fairly limited menu, generally inspired but not remarkable. Don't think I'd go if I was paying, but it was a business lunch.
The food was ok, but nothing memorable to recommend this place to anyone. It was pretty empty and we had a reservation for 745 yet I felt we were getting rushed out the restaurant because all our food—appetizers, salads and entrees came out at the same time.. and my server went absent and didn’t see him until 15-20 minutes later. Then, he takes my fish & chips for them to “re-fry” to keep warm.. and it came back so greasy I had to let the fish drain on napkins because there was grease puddles on the fish... my salad and appetizer was good and my dates dish was ok so I gave it 3 stars. But honestly I wouldn’t recommend it unless you need a place with a big menu option for a business lunch.
We selected Primebar as a pre-theater spot to eat. 6:30 was the perfect reservation and the menu looked as if it provided enough options. We weren’t looking for a “fancy” or quiet dinner spot, so it worked. On the way to dinner we pulled up the address in google and the information stated it was closed. I went to the website and it said the restaurant was only open 11-11 M-F , so I immediately called to try and clarify. No answer. We were trying to come up with a plan B, but we’re happy to discover the restaurant was indeed open and very busy. Our table was nice, service was good and food was decent. I can see this as a good post-work or casual group get-together spot.
Service was quick and the food was good. Recommend it if you are on their side of the loop.
It was just ok. I ordered a salad and paid quite a bit extra for shrimp and when it came, there was a pile of those little shrimps that you would put in a shrimp salad - they were pasty white and horrible looking. And so bland tasting. My friends had sandwiches and they looked very basic. I expected a little higher end meal. I think the bar is the place to be - the restaurant has no character really.
Perfect low key spot for a date. Nice ambiance great service really good food and not overly crowded. Overall great experience
My daughter and I had dinner here after the theater. Alex was a fabulous server and made us feel welcome. I would definitely dine here again! And it is decorated beautifully for Christmas.
First time here and it was a fabulous experience!
Service was terrible- Waiter didn’t actually care about anything we needed. Forgot a few things and didn’t take the time to listen to the table. Food was fantastic though once we got the right things!
A fantastic option for pre-theater night! We split the crab cakes and the salmon and both were delicious. I didn't feel like we were out of place bringing my 7-year old either, so families shouldn't shy away.
