   Since they just opened, I am willing to give it a second chance, but will wait until things have settled down. Our server was not able to keep up with what was going on. We waited at least 10 minutes, just to get water. She didn't know the menu at all. The food was mediocre at best. Salad dressing was supposed to be creamy parmesan, but tasted like plain mayonnaise. Salad greens were limp. Chicken sandwich was overcooked and dry. French fries were lukewarm. Requests for additional items went unanswered.

   Filet and aged ribeye cooked perfectly medium rare. Champion sauce on ribeye was a great addition. Enjoyed Oscar style filet!

   Prime closed a good while ago. Hard to make a go of it in that location.

   Short version: Some hiccups, but likely because they are relatively new and still getting their footing. Worth a second visit. Longer version: This is a newer steakhouse in West Des Moines. Menu is pretty standard steakhouse fare, solid but nothing particularly inventive. Appetizer of deviled egg selection was tasty and interesting, but salads were forgettable. Steaks were good and cooked properly, but the sides of green beans and fries were boring. There were other sides noted on the menu on an a la carte basis, but our server didn't ask if we wanted to substitute any of them. Service was a mixed bag. We had a reservation. When we arrived there was no host/hostess. A waiter told us to wait, then a couple minutes later took us to a table. We had to grab a drink menu from a neighboring table. It took nearly ten minutes for our waitress to greet us. After that, there were lengthy delays in getting our cocktails, apps, and entrees. Our waitress was very friendly and cheerful, just wish she had been more attentive and moved things along at a more typical pace. Dinner ended up taking over two hours, when we were expecting it to be an hour or so. Still, although it wasn't a top-notch experience, it was still a good dinner. We'll be back to give them a second look.

   Perfect evening from the moment we arrived. Service was attentive and not intrusive. The filet was one of the best we've had in Des Moines and the truffle butter was the perfect accompaniment. The attention to the quality of the food was apparent.

   Great cocktails. Tasty small plates, oysters. I've never had a bad meal here. I do sometimes feel it is a smidge pricey, but there are burgers, etc on the lower end of the price spectrum. A very solid choice.

   Nice dinner. Food was good and the service attentive. I only wish they had a broader selection of dry aged steaks. Good place and will visit again.

    Salmon was perfect, and the burger was cooked to specifications and juicy. Dessert, peach cobbler was so fresh tasting. A perfect Friday night!
