Starters and drinks were great, and the service was really good. We ordered the Tomahawk (£85) medium rare, but it came out medium well. The manager was helpful and swapped it for a ribeye, but that one was basically raw. At that point, we just sent it back, got the bill, and called it a night. They took £18 off (the bill would’ve been £132 without the discount), which felt a bit low considering we barely touched the main

We’ve had a long weekend in Inverness, a beautiful city. We dined at Prime 3 nights running and can’t say enough praises. Very friendly service, tasty food with plenty of choice. Beer, wine and espresso martinis marvellous. Great ambience. Looking forward to Inverness in the near future

We had our first visit to prime last night as both myself and partner enjoy steak and thought we’d give it a try. From moment of arrival service was great staff are lovely and friendly and we didn’t wait long for our drinks or food. My partners steak was lovely he has the rib eye I had the sirloin mine was on the chewy side I think I was just unlucky it did take me a while to eat what I could. When I told staff they were very kind and deducted my steak of the bill which I did not expect at all. I think it was just unfortunate mine was like that and I don’t get the impression that happens often. We also had skin on fries and onion rjngs which were lovely and crispy and cheesy macaroni which also very tasty. We would definitely visit again it’s a lovely and busy restaurant and the staff work very hard

I don’t mind paying big money for a good steak but on this occasion they were definitely not up to scratch!

Overrated & overpriced, starters poor(tasteless), each portion of fries were cool on top , cold below(complained and they were replaced but at £37 to £41 for a steak that shouldn't happen folks), poor quality steaks.

It’s in a great location and Richard (I think that was his name) was a fairly good waiter. Unfortunately the food is overpriced and not particularly great. The menu is ok but definitely on the pricier side. Considering the name you’d think that steak would be terrific but my rump steak was not the best. I reckon they could probably get better beef to be honest. It’s ok, but not great. If you want quality food for similar price, go a couple doors down to Rocpool.

Prime restaurant. Overpriced. We had cod but the sauce was over powering and took over.Wasn't impressed and wouldn't go again. Atmosphere was nice. Lots of customers chatting. Maybe, we just chosed the wrong thing.

My friend and I are part of a group visiting from North America. We had a free night and chose this restaurant. Great idea!! She has an enormous number of serious food allergies. No worries; the manager met us at our table with a binder and discussed everything very seriously. The food was insanely good. Service was excellent and presentation was beautiful. The prices, even with the conversion were extremely reasonable. We’d pay MUCH more than that in the Chicago area for these meals. I can’t say enough about the whole experience. Do yourself a favor and spend an evening here if you have the chance. Thank you Richard for your attention to detail and for an evening we won’t soon forget.

Husband and I decided to go to Prime for our wedding anniversary meal. We’d heard good things about prime, but never experienced it for ourselves. It was very quiet, and we were the only ones in, until near the end of our meal when a few others came in. Lovely setting, lovely decor, generally just a lovely wee place. We ordered two starters and two mains from the lunch menu. The food was outstanding!! However, the steaks were the part that did it for us. Personally, the best peppercorn sauce I’ve ever tried! The staff (two lovely women on) were fantastic! Overall, great value for money and great food! We will definitely be back.
