Prime Farm to Table
Great as always!
What a pleasant little gem we finally tried to celebrate my husband's birthday. So nice to have such a great find close to home! We will definitely be back for more.
Unfortunately, the bloody marys were inconsistent, and the soft shell crab was not farm to table but mushy and the thick slice of tomato over powered the taste of the crab.
We drove from McKinney to try out Prime, and would gladly do so again.
The food ranged from excellent (salad, entree, cornbread, mimosa) to a single exception that was still good (lobster roll).
My wife’s mimosa was the best either of us had ever had.
The appetizer was a creamy cheese with walnut pesto and was a great start to the meal, but could have used double the grilled bread.
The salad was extremely wonderful due to quality ingredients and awesome thyme balsamic. I wouldn’t have expected thyme to be good in a dressing, but the chef’s restraining hand made it perfect.
The cornbread was cooked in a vegetable can, and the chef’s deft hand delivered another awesome dish with the jalapeño flavor being just right.
The lobster roll was prepared well, but it had a slightly fishy-rubbery quality that left us disappointed after such a wonderful buildup to that point. Granted, I’ve had the best from a roadside dive off the coast in Maine, but expected better.
Our server was spot on with a wonderful personality.
Solid 4/5 stars!
We really enjoyed the fresh halibut.
ALWAYS...unbelievable! Exquisite food and attention to every detail.
The scallops were incredible. The service was a little slow but not so much that we were really bothered by it. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
Samantha was my server. As before, she was friendly and welcoming. She really knows how to fix me an extra dry Tito's martini--quite good. I enjoyed a Caesar salad. Their croutons are home made and very tasty. As my schedule allows, I plan to return.
Good Food, Good Service, atmosphere was inviting and quiet.
The Tuesday-Night 3-course Prix Fixe is so much fun!
I normally do not write reviews but our experience here was terrible. The service was lacking and the food took forever to come out. Not to mention it didn’t come out in the right order either because our appetizer didn’t come out until after my salad (after reminding the waiter that we even ordered it)! We were offered free desserts for our poor experience and they didn’t even get those orders correct and the apple fritters we were given tasted burnt. Overall this meal was far too expensive for the ambiance and service we were given and would much rather go to a high end chain restaurant where you know the food and service will always be outstanding.
Well, food was great; servers were all very nice, but an embarrassing overall experience, after hyping the place to our friends who joined us; seated promptly, given menus, then had to ask what happened to our waitress 25 minutes later; salads arrived, but forgot about ordered appetizers; had to ask to bring bread, also forgotten; 20 minutes after ordering entrees, were informed that we’d ordered 2 pork chops, but only one remained - “would we like to split it?”; offered free desserts from person in charge, at least he knew about some of the issues; not sure if this is absentee ownership, or what, but it’ll be awhile before we return
Menu changes a lot, very good food and drinks! Staff is great, very attentive!
I love Prime. It was such a great treat to be able to bring my son and daughter in law for brunch. The server had great recommendations and everything was delicious. I had the sausage hoagie and I know it sounds common but it was the most delicious sausage I've had in my life. The rest of our party had a mix of lobster rolls, Benedict s, and frittatas. Everyone was very happy with the meal. I will definitely return.
What a powerhouse for a little restaurant in a strip mall. If you want some amazing food, with impeccable service, any time, this is a must visit! I'm sure it's a great date night restaurant, although we went at lunch. Phenomenal food matched only by the service! Kudos to the Chef and Stoney!
Tempura Brussels sprouts were incredible. Food is quite good, service was fine...my only complaint is that the hostess tried to seat us at a high top in the bar area, and seemed put out when we declined and asked to be seated at one of the open tables in the dining area. We DID have reservations.
Outstanding food! Exceptional service! Menu was amazing! We will return as often as possible 😊.
Excellent food and service. The chef/owner visited each table and made everyone feel welcome. The waitstaff are very knowledgeable about the menu and make well-informed recommendations. The menu has the freshest ingredients—the tempura Brussels Sprouts are to die for!
I love coming here for the Tuesday tasting menu. I will say this and the last time service was a bit slow. But the food is always perfection.
Dinner was great ! Thanks to the servers and Chef!!! The restaurant atmosphere was warm and inviting a perfect place to have a relaxing dinner for any occasion.
Delicious food and fabulous service! Can’t wait to go back!
This is my second time to try Prime. I had been there once before and vowed not to go back. Well, we tried it again. I have to say, the food was much better, but it was still just okay. Nothing stood out and all of us ordered different things. However, the service was so slow. Our waitress was very, very sweet, just very scattered.
One of my all-time Faves!!! I love the fact that the owners are local and support the community!
Akaushi Steak was tough and not like a wagu steak I have had at other steak restaurants
After spending $120 for an anniversary dinner it was pretty disappointing.
I had to to ask a waiter to refill my husband's iced tea.
The chicken roulade was bland and the skin was not crispy. The best thing was the roasted beets!
We were sat at a tiny table by the window even though the restaurant was not even half full.
Been wanting to eat here but dont think we'll be back.
This place is a gem! Drinks were yummy, appetizer of salmon nachos was delicious, main entree of meatloaf was best I’ve ever had! Husband had lobster roll and loved it! Service is great, clean and nice ambiance!
One of the best farm to table restaurants we have eaten at, that’s why we eat there at least once a week.
We have enjoyed Prime Farm to Table before, but had never been here for brunch. The food was wonderful, the menu thoughtful and the cocktails were delicious. This felt like a best-kept secret in the middle of Flower Mound! Hats off to the chef and employees for making a perfectly wonderful Sunday morning experience. We will definitely be back.
Food was delicious, fresh and full of great tastes
Love Prime! Food is always outstanding and creative. The service is warm and personal. I visit Prime when I travel to the area for work. Each person makes me feel at home. Nice patio when the weather is warm. Yum re: tempura Brussels and key lime tart plus the cornbread is to die for!
This is my new favorite brunch place. I can't wait to get a weekend off to come back.
We had a great meal at Prime with two other couples. The food and service were excellent. The staff was very accommodating for one of our party’s food allergies. Great evening out!
Outstanding as always. Chris & his crew work magic in the kitchen.
We went there for the Tarrant Co restaurant week. The food was excellent and we also got the wine pairings which complimented the food very well. We'll be back!
We went as part of Restaurant week at 7:00 pm on Friday, which I think is when everyone came in. We all ordered the Shirmp and Grits and enjoyed it. My husband and one of our friends ordered the Short Ribs which they both enjoyed. Our other friend and I had the Cioppino and while mine was good, she found her's to be underdone. Although the service wasn't bad, it was extremely slow. It took us two hours for dinner and it wasn't because we were lingering over our food or sitting after we were done. It took at least 15 minutes to get the corn bread, which was yummy, and then another 15-20 minutes to get our appetizers. So while I found the food to be enjoyable, the pacing of the wait staff was off. I do like to enjoy a leisurely dinner but this was a little too long in between courses.
We are big fans of Prime Farm to Table. I'm gluten free and there is always a GF on the menu...CLASSY menu with some comfort food like you've never had it before. Unique presentations, recipes and always new items according to what's coming from the local farms. Great Chef, personable and pleasant staff that work as a team. We love that it is quiet enough to have a conversation over incredible fare. We taken friends from Colorado and as far away as Oxford England and they are never disappointed. A bit pricey but must be worth the cost because we keep going back. Don't miss the cornbread in the can!!
This time around, Grant waited on us. However, it was Shawn who fixed my Tito's martinis, for which I am glad. My granddaughter, home from college, had a shrimp and pasta dish which she said was good. I enjoyed, as also in the past, a smoked salmon sandwich. As other times, it was very tasty. I plan to return, either alone or with family.
My husband and I came for our 10 year Anniversary. The food was wonderful and the the service was fantastic. We will definitely be back. Everything was so fresh and flavorful.
The food and service were wonderful, and the drinks were nice and strong. 👌🏻 Its a great restaurant around a few good ones in Highland Village. We will definitely be back!
Went for the first time on New Year's Eve. Were promptly seated and had good service throughout the meal. Food ranged from good to so-so. Beef bolognese was fabulous! Pate was more like a spread served with raisin bread toast (?!?). Not what we anticipated. We had a good time.
