Prime Burgerhouse-Grand Victoria Casino
The food was excellent and the service great. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone...atmosphere pleasant.
The Bit of Heaven shake was the best part. And our server was amazing. Young blonde kid. I forgot his name.
The food we all had at our table was delicious!! Disappointed that the menu was so limited, though. My boyfriend had been there years ago and had a lobster tail on his burger. He was planning on ordering that since it was his birthday - not on the menu anymore. :-( Our waitress was awesome, however, and brought him out an AMAZING molten lava chocolate cake with a candle on it. :-)
Their menu has changed drastically and is very sparse. I will not be returning.
Still a very good spot with excellent burgers! However was very disappointed to see how much the menu had been cut down. I totally understand cutting down costs but this used to be one of my favorite burger spots because not only were the burgers great, but the choices! So many good choices that are now gone.was glad to see they still had the garlic parmesan burger. But so many others off the menu. Along with the loaded milk shakes! Used to be some of our favorites and now cut down to 2 choices???? I realize this day and age everything is streamlining but the amount that was cut from here I would have never believed had I not seen it myself.
With that though everyone in our party agreed what we had ordered was as good as always and the service was prompt attentive and very good. The value was good when the total bill came it was pretty much what we had expected for what was ordered. Looking forward to going back but really wish they would consider expanding the menu back out even a little.
Downgraded their menu by like 85%. Chicken on salad tasted days old/dried out. Burger buns stale. Barely any ice in our drinks.
The Prime Burgerhouse in Elgin's Grand Victoria Casino is a decent and undervalued burger place, directly across from the buffet that always draws long lines and down the hall from Buckingham's, a top-shelf steakhouse. Prime's ownership has changed, and with it went the nifty, kinda sexy burger menu magazine. That's still ok; we had salmon over wilted spinach, wine, and a shared dessert. Perfect for getting out of the casino for a break, or just grabbing a delicious variation on a burger place with class. Always good service; always clean. Tables have a small tv going with whatever game is playing at the moment; not intrusive at all.
Primeburger has changed their menu. The quality of the food has deteriorated. The service was friendly, but I cannot recommend eating there anymore. It's a real shame as this was once one of the best casino restaurants I've been to.
I have been to this place in the past. The food quality and selection has diminished although prices are still high.
Not overly thrilled with their makeover, as the burgers were just so-so. Won't be rushing back any time soon.
This restaurant had decent food, but I didn't realize their menu had changed so much since our last visit when they had many more choices of burgers so I was very disappointed by that. The food tasted pretty good, but the truffle fries were way to salty. We had very good service.
The menu changed drastically from what open table has up! I came here to celebrate my husband’s bday specifically for the vast gourmet burger selection but it’s been pared down to basically a lunch menu. There were one or two specialty burgers still on the menu and the garlic Parmesan burger was actually pretty good but I was disappointed when I got there. Please update the menu on Open Table as it was very misleading!
Good food at reasonable prices. Quick service! Tv viewing from every angle.
Exceptional service and delicious food! Well worth the drive and would highly recommend to family and friends.
We enjoyed our meals. The potion size was great for the price. Nice presentation on the plate and Service was awesome!
I was disappointed with my bunless burger. It looked like it was a patty that was frozen. My food was room temperature. They forgot to put the cheese on my patty. They were skimpy with the onion rings.
Ordered salads and grilled chicken. Took over 40 minutes to get our food. Was not busy and you could tell that food had been sitting.
Great variety of burger choices.
Good value and choice for before enjoying the concert at festival park. Service was exemplary and friendly. Definitely a vibrancy felt. Menu is broad enough and the hamburger was loaded with flavor
Not a bad burger, just nothing spectacular.
Great place for different burgers and shakes. They have imaginative combinations for burgers, with several beef options. "Leadded" shakes include booze. We had the vanilla shake with Rum Chata and Baileys. To die for!! Check it out. Our server was attentive without being annoying. We will go back.
Pretty good burger and shake. Service was very good without being intrusive.
As we were seated a server was taking an order at the table next to us. In the middle of taking their order he yelled at somebody and just walked away from the table without excusing himself. The patrons we're visibly taken aback by his very unprofessional manners. After taking their order he came over to us and said he would be right back. 10 minutes later he returned to take our drink order. We waited about 5 mins for him to check if they had Cazadores Tequila, he couldn't get the name right, and just told us the tequilas that they did have. We settled with Patron. He then took our appetizer and dinner order. We asked him to make sure the apps came before the meal, and not with it. About 25 mins later we were served our entrees, but had not seen our appetizers yet. The chicken sandwich we ordered was overcooked on the outside, and raw in the center. At this point we asked for the manager and let him know that we were disappointed in the service. And we no longer wanted to eat after taking a bite of the raw chicken. He removed the food from our bill, we paid and started to leave. Upon leaving we were verbally harassed by the server, who said maybe we should go to McDonalds next time. I let him know that he did a terrible job, and needed to be retrained. I took his photo and will be letting everybody know thru social media that he is a bad server with a bad attitude. Then a few of the other servers took it upon themselves to harass us and follow us around the casino, so we decided to leave. Was planning to gamble and have a good time with friends, but that was ruined by the bad employees at Prime Burgerhouse.
Food was very good. Many reviews online said the burgers were great. They were! Very large menu of burgers. Also, other sandwiches and I think, salads.
Burgers were great, chocolate shake tasted just like pudding (amazing), great atmosphere and our waiter was very helpful and friendly.
Edgar was an amazing waiter. We had a great time!
I thought overall it was good experience.
Food and service were great!
Great food and drinks. Definitely get the truffle fries!!!
This was our first visit. Even though the salmon and chicken looked good (and healthier), had to try the Burgers. Great decision; they were absolutely delicious! I got the garlic parmesan and was so happy with it. It was juicy and packed with flavor. They do not have a kids menu, but one of my son's wanted wings so he got the appetizer. It came with 10 wings which is more than most appetizers, and the chef made a special honey barbecue sauce just for him! The booths have TVs with three sports channels on it, so it was kind of nice for keeping them occupied.
Great shakes! Good pretzel. Burgers were good. TV's at every booth.
Came here browsing restaurants in the area and noticed this place which we’ve never been. Fantastic place! Our service was phenomenal and very helpful and informative. The food turned out to be better than we imagined. Even our son was impressed! We are definitely coming back to try more of the menu!
Great burgers! Great servers! Burgers were hot when served, excellent burger--and many different choices. Server was friendly and never rushed us. Was a great eating experience.
It doesn't seem as good as it use to be before the new owners of the casino took over. We've been coming here for years. This was the first time since the new ownership. We don't have proof, but the burger looked smaller and noticeably fewer fries came with the sandwich. Yet, it was still a $14 hamburger. Also, the meat itself was different. Probably a lesser grade -- they were always prime beef ground daily by the resident butcher.
It is still a good burger. Just have never left there still feeling hungry prior to today.
