Prime - Bellagio Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed the food. The steak is flavorful and cooked to perfection.
I was disappointed to get the worst table in the house (for my Mother’s 70th Birthday). We were sat near the restroom. I made my reservation early enough to have gotten a better table. Maybe I should have my reservations directly instead of using Open Table.
After a discussion about options for wine the waiter never once brought it up again and never brought me a glass or offered to bring any even though Meat and Fish were the main courses. I did discuss this with the manager... given the type of restaurant and its reputation AND WINE LIST my dining experience deserves an F grade for service. My many prior visits there have all been superlative. It was strictly a function of this particular waiter. I hope the restaurant counsels this waiter.
Reserved table was actually seated in bar area which was disappointing. Waiter was friendly but absent. Sales pitch was better than actual attention. Food was average. Better steak and seafood elsewhere. Worst part was 4 marginally sized shrimp for $26 as appetizer. Been there many times but this was worst.
We had a reservation and arrived about 5 minutes prior to time of our reservation. The hostess told us our table was being setup and would be ready shortly—close to time of reservation. There was no further communication for the next 30 minutes. I approached the hostess desk to inquire about the status of our table; and was told they would check. One of the hostesses scurried away, presumably to check. When she returned, she passed right by me without acknowledging my presence or uttering a word. Meanwhile, the other hostess checked in two other parties; ignoring me completely. Around 45 minutes after our reservation time, we were seated.
The hostess escorted us to our table and apologized for the wait. We should have been given an honest assessment upon our arrival.
The experience (food and service) from that point forward was enjoyable.
The patio overlooking the fountains is sheltered from the wind and is a beautiful setting for a celebration. It was magical as night descended! The service was impeccable and the food including 10oz filet couldn't have been better. Yes, it's expensive. It was the perfect evening and worth it!
Our waiter was very fun and friendly, the cocktails and steaks were very well prepared. The sides on par with any other good restaurant. Definitely request a table by the windows if possible, the view is a lovely backdrop for a nice supper. The only drawback for us was that the restaurant was unexpectedly loud.
When you first walk in to the restaurant you are excited about what will surely be an amazing dining experience. How can it not be with such a gorgeous atmosphere and high prices. Unfortunately, we did not have an amazing (or even great) dining experience. Service was pretty good, but the food was not. I ordered the French onion soup (it was okay), the wedge salad (was good), the lamb chops (basically inedible) and mash potatoes (the worst I’ve ever had). I would think twice about dining here, esp with all the great Vegas options.
We went out for our big dinner in Vegas here. We had a lovely evening. It wasn’t too busy yet so we asked if we could be seated by the windows and they kindly accommodated. We both actually ordered the salmon and agreed it was the best either of us has ever had. I can’t begin to explain how delicious it was. For dessert we got the almond creme brûlée and the lemon meringue tart. We loved both them. I had the lemon meringue and I can easily say it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.
You can say it’s overpriced in a town that overprices everything. You can say that a prime steak from Costco grilled in your back yard is just as delicious. You can certainly buy wine in a zillion other restaurants with less of a markup. BUT. This is the top of the line experience in this flashy town. The food is tip-top tasty. The service is always impeccable. You pay, but you GET as well. The evening is always special; you feel cherished. You leave HAPPY. And isn’t that what a splurge is all about?!
First time at this restaurant, tried every other restaurant in Bellagio. Did not disappoint, the steaks where great, appetizers as well. The server just came one time to pour the wine and one time to ask if everything was fine. Did not pay to much attention to us but, it was very busy..
Prime was absolutely incredible. The short rib was crispy on the outside, but tender enough inside that you could cut it with just a fork. The peppercorn strip, which my friend got was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and came with the star of the meal, the Prime house special sauce.
