A must go when visiting Chicago. Everything we ordered was superb!!!! The service is outstading. Great cuts, on cue meat terms. Try the old fashion.

First time ever but definitely won’t be the last. Overall great steakhouse with high end food that’s worth the price! Also doesn’t hurt that the interior is perfectly designed.

This is my first time dining at P&P. Overall for the times we are in it was excellent. We waited quite a while for our table but once we were seated everything else seemed to smooth out. The food was excellent the service was excellent. The ambience was as good as it can be considering we went back to outdoor dining only. I can't wait to come back after covet season.

My wife and I were so impressed with the staff's commitment to making this a safe dining experience in these chaotic times. On top of the that, the food was phenomenal with all of the small touches that make a meal special. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Salmon over farro with butternut squash was outstanding. We also had the scallops which were delicious. Unfortunately the Brussels sprout salad was loaded with a spice maybe sage that ruined it. Overall an awesome dinner. Very enjoyable.

Food, as always was amazing. It’s Chicago, so expect to pay handsomely for a full dinner for two but it’s in line with other steakhouses and the food quality is always way above average. They did the best they could with the current outdoor setting but the ambiance was lost and we had several very noisy drunken tables near us and the normal seating (since it was outside) held very little privacy or ability to hold conversation.
I’d love to give 5 starts but we waited 45 minutes - with a reservation - and no apologies and not so much as a glass of water offered. “Just go stand in the hallway and we will call you when we are ready kind of attitude is not what you’d expect when you are paying $350-$400 for two without alcohol. Word of advice to the management. Train the younger front desk staff to treat your customers like the reason they are there. We want to support you during COVID and can make allowances for what you’re putting up with in terms of lack of ambiance, but you need to meet us halfway. Even a water station or a complimentary tea or coffee would have been nice if you’re making someone wait an hour for a table.

The place was packed - some areas more so than others with little social distancing observed outside. We were seated between two large parties of 6 people and with the music absolutely screaming, we asked to be moved. They moved us into a different part of the outside seating which thankfully had more space but the music still was very loud. Borderline absurd actually.

Our server came late, took the wine order and I am not kidding here - did not show up again until 20 minutes after. We had to request bread service and ask her to take our order instead of her asking us about it. Just plain weird. When she took our order, she said that first and second course will come out all together because they have a time limit on the tables. And all the food did come out at once, literally a few mins after we ordered. Bizarre- was it already precooked? Our soup did not have a spoon. We literally had to flag the maitre’d to grab us one as - you guessed it - the server was nowhere to be seen.

Before we were finished eating our salad - I’d say 7 mins after our apps came out - the steaks came out too. They really were trying to kick us out! The wife got a ribeye and I got a fillet mignon. Both are steaks were dry, COLD, and chewy. Not what you would expect from $70+ steaks each. The Brussels sprouts were overcooked. The Mac and cheese, however, was spectacular.

I brought this to the attention of our server - who I had to flag once again as she did not bother to stop by and check how the food was - that my steak is cold and Brussels sprouts overcooked. To her credit, she handled it professionally and profusely apologized and took steps to remedy the situation, which I appreciate very much.

Overall, they seemed overwhelmed and the food was mediocre. I would never go back nor can recommend this establishment.

The restaurant did a great job with working within the COVID restrictions. We sat outside in the enclosed outdoor eating area and for being 40 degrees outside the area was very warm and comfortable. Our server was prompt and very professional and courteous.

The only complaint and I hesitate to complain because I understand that its very challenging to run a business with the added expense of propane heaters, enclosures and capacity restrictions.

But.....at no less than 4-times we were reminded on the 1:15 time limit at the table so other people waiting could get in for dinner.

I get it, Trust me. But we were literally 1/2 way through an entre' and I'm talking a 1/2 Filet on the plate and a full glass of $35 a glass of wine when the manager came up to us for a 5th time and in a polite fashion told us we had to leave.

We got the food to go and I gave the server a good tip. The Bill was $300. We left the wine and and took a $50 steak in a cardboard box (which we gave to a homeless person)

I'm over it but it really soured what a great experience it could have been.

Everything was wonderful, until the end. Our waiter came over to the table to tell us his manager needed us to leave. We were aware of the patio time limits, however there were 3-4 other tables that had been there before we even arrived.

1st off I would like to say that we are foodies, so we love going out to eat, but we wasn’t impressed at all!!! We’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile now, especially since we live in Chicago and everything was going to shut down again, due to the COVID spike we settled for this place. It was just mediocre. When we arrived to the restaurant the host tried to sit us upstairs which was horrible seating. My bf called them BLACK PEOPLE SEATS. Smh. Like we were literally next to a wall. In a single table for 2, no arm room or anything. My bf would’ve settled for those seats but not me. I asked to be moved IMMEDIATELY and they did so. We then was seated on the main level which was beautiful and the ambience was great. We started off with cocktails then ordered. We ended up with a NY Strip special. It consist of lump crab and asparagus and it was just ok. Nothing to brag about. In fact my steak tasted a lil spoil like which my bf tasted different. I kept going back and fourth tasting his and mines, but I still didn’t send it back. Which I wish I would’ve. He claims that maybe it’s the dry age taste. I still wish we would’ve went to Chicago Cut instead. Guess we’ll check this off our list of restaurants. We’ll never go here again. I mean ever, ever, ever. I’m still mad about this and it wasn’t even my money. Just thinking we could’ve used this for something else. LBVS

Amazing experience at Prime and Provisions. Celebrated my birthday and Rob excelled with his tremendous customer service. I would come again just to be a customer of his again. The food overall was great and lived up to my expectations. The Ribeye was succulent, the escorts(sides) were phenomenal and let me say, the banana cream pie (recommended by Rob) was enough to warrant this place an INSTANT favorite. My party was of the younger demographic and I must say that the staff treated us diligently with the proper respect and care necessary. The level of service is unparalleled to any other restaurants of this caliber. Must, try and if you do ask for ROB!

My wife and I came in to celebrate our anniversary. And the staff and food were nothing short of amazing. Ruben took great care of us and took care of everything. Appetizers were fantastic. The bacon and baked clams were full of flavor and serving size was perfect. The steaks were amazing possibly the best I’ve ever had. The sides of whipped potatoes, Au gratin potatoes and Brussel sprouts were the perfect match for the top notch beef. I would highly recommended this place to anyone and we will for sure be returning.

They didn’t get my steak right.
They sat me and my bf next to the staff area which was terrible.
They were clearly busy and not ready for the projections.
My experience was awful the food was awful I could have just cooked myself.
Would not recommend.

I loved our waiter, the servers was so nice. Our waiter didn’t for get not one thing. And the food was excellent. Even tho we waited an hour for our main entrees which was excepted because it was sweetish day. Our waiter took a round of drinks off our bill. I love his service I tipped him 60$ on top of a 250$ bill. Definitely a most go
