Top shelf dinning in Huntington. Always great food.
Excellent as always. My friend had a bandaged hand and waiter offered to bring steak in kitchen to cut for her. GREAT service
Excellent Food ! Love their Wontons, Crabcake, and My husband said the Steak was So
delicious and cooked Perfectly ! our waiter was one of the Best we have ever had !
PRIME has the Absolute BEST Water View on Long Island by far !
It was fine out huntington week and I would not have gone if I knew that because it was very crowded and the food took longer than usual to come out. We ordered our steak medium well and it came out medium rare and was awful. The waiter did give us free dessert to make up for it but I wasn’t going to order dessert and would have much rather had the steak cooked how I wanted it. We have gone to prime many times for dinner and this was the worst I’ve seen it. I don’t plan to go back for a while.
Service was horrible. Sat with appetizers empty plates for 15 minutes until removed. One steak came out under cooked and they left the sides and other steak to get cold. Removed everything and waited maybe 15 minutes or so for new meals and nothing special for the cost. And on top of it no accommodation made for the bad service or meal.
Once again, Prime proves worthy of its stellar reputation for the finest in steak and sushi...everything was delicious beyond comparison!
I ordered the Delmonico steak with a Parmesan crust and my wife ordered the petite filet mignon with butter poached lobster. Steaks were both perfect and cooked rare, as we asked. We got a side of creamed spinach which was amazing, and a side of skillet potatoes.
I also ordered an appetizer of oysters. They have 4 types of oyster, I ordered 1 of each and all were very good.
For dessert we shared the s’mores Sunday for two which was very good.
I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner out with your significant other. We made a reservation for 5:30 and it wasn’t very busy yet so they made sure to give us one of the best tables. They definitely care about giving you a good experience.
I was at Prime for my Birthday, and as usual, I was VERY HAPPY with my experience. We sat at the bar for a cocktail or two. Then even though we were a bit early, were able to sit for dinner. The table was VERY nice ... right next to the window. Food and service were excellent. Dessert was amazing as well... ALL in ALL, an EXCELLENT experience.
Always impeccable service, perfectly prepared food, and arguably the most beautiful view on the water in Huntington, this is my 'go to' place for a night out with friends or dining alone.
We had lunch on a Friday to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We selected all items from the day’s specials and they did not disappoint. In fact, the food was outstanding! From a tuna sushi special (without seaweed or rice) to the main course, sole sautéed in brown butter with capers and shallots, to the tri colored carrot side, everything was a foodie’s delight. Although the specials tended to be higher priced than the regular menu, it was worth every penny...
Service was impeccable and they bent over backwards to make sure our experience was great.
Poorly cooked steak. Other customers stood right next to our table and talked for 35 mins in direct earshot of us. Overall experience was not great. Service was excellent. Food and noise not so good
Jeffrey the waiter was excellence Food was prepared to perfection They made my birthday celebration great memories thank you
Dinner was great!
Birthday. Awesome service, amazing food
My all time fave restaurant!!!!!! everything is DELISH. I come here at least 6 times of year all year round. everything is awesome!!!!!!
Lovely setting for a special brunch. Breakfast and lunch options to satisfy everyone.
I would like to say how amazing this place was. My waiter Adam was extremely nice and was the best. I took a special guy there for his birthday and he loved it.. we will definitely be back in the summer.
Wonderful restaurant, why I don't like leaving a negative review....but will say we ordered the porterhouse for 2 and it had a lot of fat throughout it. We have been to many steakhouse and never had a porterhouse like that. Overall, delious, great service, enough food, just disappointed for the $ bad piece of meat.
Descent steak, sides so salty almost unbeatable
Reunion of childhood friend
Prime is fantastic! The food is exceptional, the wait staff is attentive, and the view is amazing. I've never been disappointed.
Overall the experience was impeccable! I had gone with my best friend for his 25th birthday and the staff were so sweet and accommodating with every course. The cocktails and dishes were the best I have had at Prime. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion!
The perfect table was given to us for my birthday. The tomato soup with lobster and truffle gnocchi were delicious appetizers. The veal with parmesan crust, flat iron steak, asparagus, twice baked potato and vanilla bean cheesecake were amazing dishes. Great variety of cocktails and wine. Excellent service. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Still fabulous! Brought two new friends for their first experience and they were wowed.
Christopher P was great as always. He goes beyond every time we see him.
Beautiful restaurant. Great service. Excellent food.
Service was lovely and food was very tasty and satisfying
It was our yearly date night and we had an amazing time. Food is excellent and service was amazing.
My husband and I had a reservation at 5:45 on Saturday night before a show at The Paramount. We were greeted quickly by the ladies at the front. It was a cold, rainy night and we were seated towards the end of the outdoor seating area. It was quite cold (I had to keep my jacket on), however, the waitress quickly took our cues and turned the overhead heaters on. They warmed the area, enough to take my jacket off, but there was still a breeze coming from outside. The appetizers were outstanding! We ordered two gnocchi apps. For dinner, I had the beef Wellington, my husband ordered the 40 ounce steak, and we had two side orders; creamed spinach and sweet potato fries with rosemary. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty at this early time, the food seemed to take awhile to come out. This is where it got interesting. I scooped the creamed spinach onto my plate, and felt something hard. I thought it might be a bunch of spinach stuck together, so as not to make a fuss, my husband took it on to his plate (stuck together spinach doesn’t bother him as it does me.) I had a slice of the beef Wellington and it was delicious. My husband then took a bite of the creamed spinach and the “lump.” He quickly spit it out because it WAS A PIECE OF COOKED PLASTIC! The waitress was mortified and quickly went to fetch the manager. After a few minutes, he came over to apologize and said he would be taking care of us. Well....we thought he meant he would be comping our meal. WRONG! He took the creamed spinach off the bill as well as the steak. The bill still came to $120. I was shocked they still charged us for everything else. I was very disappointed there was plastic in our food, and also disappointed at the way the bill was handled. I’m not sure how I feel about going back. We have been to Prime a few times in the past, and I know the plastic was an obvious mistake, but the dinner was ruined.
The staff was amazing! It was my mothers birthday and the second we sat down our waiter wished her a happy birthday. He was very attentive and kept checking to see how we were doing. The food was amazing as always and even though it was raining the view was still great. I thought it was really nice that they came out with a little bday candle and truffles for us. I also want to mention that they gave us our dessert of a s’mores sundae for free as well as a 25$ gift card for my mom to use during the week. We’ve been here plenty of times and I’m thankful they made this occasion so nice for my mom. I will definitely be coming back and I would highly recommend the beef Wellington!
The perfect spot for Celebrating our son's 16th birthday. The meal from beginning to end was excellent. Our server Maria was exceptional. Attentive, pleasant and professional.
Go here to celebrate!
We have had several dinners at Prime. We came especially for the wine pairing which we had experienced before.
We were seated at a lovely table and after some efforts from us, our server became less formal and more friendly. He even facilitated a change in the menu because of my low-carb needs. All in all it was a good evening.
Prime charges you for EVERYTHING separately. You are "nickeled and dimed" every step of the way. You may think that the price of your steak seems good UNTIL you find out that it comes with nothing and the pricey sides will add greatly to your bill. Making matters worse, I couldn't use my Primes Gift Card because one of our diners already had the "discounted lunch." As a result, Lunch for 2 of us was $200 with the tip. Wonderful food and ambiance but be prepared to PAY, PAY, PAY!!!
We had a lovely lunch and the service was excellent!
Fantastic steaks, best creamed spinach anywhere and everything prepared to perfection. Extensive wine list hitting a wide range of price points. Seafood is fresh and excellent. Appitizers are creative. beautiful outdoor seating on the water in season. High end bar with outdoor area including fire pit.
Unremarkable is how my husband characterized dinner at Prime. Disappointing was my comment. Friends offered to watch our son so that we could get a late Valentine's Day dinner. We chose Prime as we had eaten here a few times in the past and liked it. My husband and I are foodies who have eaten in some of the best restaurants all over the world. We vacation for the food. Prime left a bad taste in our mouth. Not only was the food subpar, the service was awful. We had the gnocchi and a sushi appetizer. The gnocchi was bland and relatively flavorless. The best part of the gnocchi was that it was toasted. The sushi was terrible with bad flavor and the fish that wrapped around the sushi was not cut properly (way too thick). Having worked in Japanese restaurants for 8 years while obtaining my law degree, I know what the thickness and texture of sushi should be. For $24 a roll, they should know too! Next, the entrees were lack luster and served incorrectly. I specifically asked the waiter whether the brie fondue was served on the side of the filet mignon wellington because I am lactose intolerant and pregnant, so brie is on the banned list. The waiter explicitly stated that it was on the side, it was not. We also asked that it be cooked medium. The filet wellington came out sitting in a bowl of brie fondue, rendering the flaky wellington crust soggy and unappetizing, and, for me, uneatable. I decided to cut into it to see if I could just take the meat out to eat it and it was rare inside (completely blue in the middle). We had to keep flagging down people to send it back because our waiter failed to do the standard 2 min check back. My husband's steak (the delmonico), while cooked properly, was so oversalted that my husband said the outer layers were tough to eat without gulping down water, thus ruining the flavor experience of the steak. To quote my husband, the best thing we received for our $240 dinner was the asparagus. We won't be back.
We got the soup of the day and the truffle gnocchi to start. The soup was a tomato lobster bisque, delic! The truffle gnocchi is always good. Then we split the porterhouse for two cooked PERFECTLY rare. With whipped potatoes and the tricolor carrot veggie special. We ended with out usual double espresso, cappuccino and chocolate icecream. Our waiter did a very nice job. He even played a little joke on us. We were there for my husbands birthday so he gave him an envelope saying he got him "a little gift." When we opened it, it was an empty gift card envelope lol. He did it so seriously, shook my husband's hand and everything!!
We have visited Prime many times and have always enjoyed the service and food, however this time things were much different. Although the greeter took us to our table immediately upon our arrival, she neglected to assign our table to a server. After sitting at our table for over fifteen minutes “Tyler” must have noticed our frustration and came over asking if there was a problem. He quickly apologized and had a server assigned to our table. We finally received glasses of water and some buns.
Our server “ Claudia” apologized for the miss communication between the greeter and her. From then on all went well like it should, we received our libations, salads and food in a timely manner and all ended up good!
Great place. Food and ambiance top notch. Great Filet Mignon
