Excellent food and service, the calamari appetizer is the best we have ever had
Unfortunately we did not have a good dining experience. We were served by 3 different waiters -none of whom seemed that interested in us. The main course arrived at our table before we had finished the starter. Despite our obvious discomfort the waiter continue to place the main course items on our table. The place was very full and the staff appeared rushed. The food quality was good but the service was extremely poor. As this is not an inexpensive restaurant I cannot recommend eating there.
Wonderful atmosphere with many windows! The Delmonico Ribeye was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
The food was average at best. The service was outstanding, but could not make up for the food.
I have been going to the restaurant for a few years now. If you are looking for a great steak and excellent service, Prime 47 is the best.
My fiance and I where in town and decided to try out prime 47. The inside was very nice we sat on the second floor which provided a nice view. She was very impressed by the pianist. I had the ribeye which turned out great she had the sea bass which was also great and we shared a twice baked potatoe which was very good. Wait staff was very attentive.
The wait staff Walter and Jordan made the experience amazing.
Great food and great service. Drinks, salads, steaks, and sides were all fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The restaurant atmosphere is wonderful. Beautiful space.
Great service, exceptional experience, thank you!
Oh, and the steaks... please don’t start me on the lamb lollipops.... wow!
We really had high hopes for Prime. The service was top notch. Our scallops appetizer and the complimentary bread were outstanding. The main course was just meh. The steaks were great cuts but my ribeye seemed to just have been heavily doused in Cajun rub just before it was cooked. It was so overpowered by that spice that I didn’t bother to finish eating it half way through. My girlfriend had the filet, again a great cut but she opted for the standard steak seasoning. Her opinion of it was meh as well. Total opposite of the ribeye, almost void of flavor. Last but not least, the lobster Mac was somewhat watered down and bland.
Maybe it was just an off night in the kitchen. I will say the staff were top notch and did an excellent job.
Food was amazing, sides are portioned for 2 so be careful on how many you order lol Australian wagyu was mouth watering. Service was spot on. Would definitely eat there again!
Our steaks were super good. The lobster was a little rubbery and not much flavor. Prefer Maine lobster tail. Our sides were good. We did send our potatoes back bc they weren’t cooked all the way thru. Our service team was excellent. It was really loud in there though. We had a hard time hearing each other as we were talking.
Another fine meal in the city’s best steakhouse! This time we enjoyed a meal with some co-workers and it definitely didn’t let us down! Service was great! Food was fantastic! Counting down until the next visit!
Excellent steaks. Good selection of Waygu beef if you want to spend that much but its EXPENSIVE! Got the 12 oz. Filet that was excellent.
What a great experience, a great ambiance! Enjoyed the waygu tomahawk. Highly recommend
My wife and I’s first time here and we loved it. Food and service was great. They took time to explain their cuts of steaks to us. Everything came out in a timely manner. Not to soon and not to late. Made our anniversary a little more special for us with the added extras they did. Will be going back again.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary, and they helped to make it a special evening! Thank you!
We went for my birthday. It was very nice and the food was pretty good. Not as good as St. Elmo’s but still very good.
My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on his birthday. I made sure to add notes to my reservation - one, that it was his birthday, two, to please bring his favorite cocktail upon arrival. We were completely and pleasantly surprised to be seated at a table with menus in front of us that had "Happy Birthday, Conor" printed on them. What an incredible and appreciated touch! Of course I had to save a menu! As requested, he was also brought a drink once we sat down and settled in, which again, was so appreciated that they followed through with my request. We got an exorbitant amount of food and it was all delicious. Our server (so sorry I'm forgetting his name, this was a month ago) did warn us that the side of vegetables was enormous, but we went ahead and ordered it anyway. He was right, and it was the one thing we didn't come close to finishing. Make sure to only get this if you have a larger party.
The restaurant itself was quite loud on a Saturday night, and a pianist added some lovely music. We ended the evening with "Sweet Caroline's Cookie," that was presented with a lit candle. Our server poured chocolate sauce directly over it as the pianist played "Happy Birthday." He also comped this dessert from our bill. It was truly perfect and unforgettable dining experience. Thank you so much for a fantastic evening.
Dining room full of smoke from kitchen
Meal took over 2 1/2 hours for 3
Noisy and unattractive server
Waiter was great. Never looking for him but not overbearing
the wait staff was excellent and personable. They were attentive to our needs throughout the meal. We were celebrating our 40 anniversary and the menu with the happy anniversary and the complementary dessert were appreciated.
Thanks for an enjoyable evening
Kevin and Jordan provided great service on a very busy night.
The food and service were impeccable! Incredible experience! Will definitely dine at Prime47 again the next time I am in the area.
Try to sit downstairs it has much more ambience! Food was great.
Another great experience
Your servers were outstanding!!! Great service for our customers we were hosting. Thanks again.
Great meal before a concert! We love it here! We will definitely be back!
First time to this restaurant but we won’t return. If you’re going to spend $220 for 2 people, you shouldn’t be seated next to a giant TV playing basketball, and 10 steps from a pianist playing loud enough to fill a concert hall. Their “signature” Lobster Mac-n-Cheese had maybe 6 tiny bits of lobster meat in a bowl big enough for 2 people. The beef filet and crab-stuffed salmon was very good but this felt more like a noisy bar
My girlfriend & I went to your restaurant before the Kelly Clarkson concert Friday 3/22. The food was amazing. I had the salmon. Delicious. Best salmon I’ve ever eaten. The waiter was super nice & helpful.
Very clean swanky atmosphere. I’ll definitely go back & recommend your restaurant to anyone that asks me for a great place to eat downtown!
Amazing steaks and service was second to none! Best steakhouse in downtown by far
The service was horrible! The food was horrible and it was too loud because of a drunk guy who was allowed to be in there! I’m never going back!!!!
It was very loud and we were trying to have a business meeting. St. Patricks Day drinkers were obnoxious.
We had a great experience. All of the food we ordered from the starters, salads, sides, steaks, and Dessert were all phenomenal. The only downside was that we ate on a pacers game night, and were not quite done by the time the game got out. It got crazy in there pretty quick. All in all we had a wonderful all around dining experience.
Very, very disappointing.
Best steak in Indy!
We have dined there several times, but the last two times we have, the quality of the food has declined. My crab cake was so thick it was not cooked in the middle and the potatoes were not done. My husband ordered his steak medium, but it was raw in the middle. I don't think we will return. Great atmosphere and location!
We were there for our 30th anniversary. I anticipated, due to the upscale nature of the restaurant, for it to be more intimate and quieter. It was EXREMELY noisy (Pre-Metallica concert goers) and I was disappointed with the ambiance of the restaurant. You could barely hear the piano player and the bar area was noisy and had televisions. Hardly what I expected for the cost of the meal.
This was our first time at Prime 47 and we would definitely go back! The food was excellent, filets were cooked perfectly and one of our party had sea bass which was equally delicious. The roasted brussel sprouts with bacon side was wonderful and large enough to share. Service was well-timed so we didn't feel rushed but were well taken care of. Downtown Indy has lots of steakhouses but this is now one of my favorites!
