It was my parents 58th wedding anniversary. From personalized menus to a picture in the frame. The team at Prime 47 made it a night to remember for my parents! Top notch, hands down the best in Indy!
Kevin, our server was fabulous...very attentive. Food was excellent!
It was amazing. We are definitely planning another trip to go back. Our server was amazing and the ambiance was great as well. The food was amazing.
A great place to meet before the Pacers Basketball Game. Service was fantastic as was the food.
Post game meal ...service was very good. Food was overpriced and some aspects were less than expected for the standard anticipated. Blue cheese and horseradish sauce was excessive and not warm ... bernaisse sauce served cold.
Went for the buffet before the colts game. Scrambled eggs were colt bacon lukewarm.. choices are lots not much diet friendly. Concentrated on pushing alcohol drinks
Seated in the balcony area overlooking main level we found the ambiance delightful complete with piano. Staff was attentive, friendly, and on the ball. Excellent bisque and a Delmonico med rare prepared perfectly. Well done P47
One of our favorite places to eat, ever. Great wine, tremendous service and better food.
Great evening. Took Mom to her 76th birthday before the Hugh Jackman show and it was the best dinner we have had for a number of years. Mom really thought it was cool that the menu had Happy 76th Birthday printed at the top.
Also, as a plus, to valet park for anything before a Banker's Life event is the way to go. No parking worries, resonably priced and the car was back within a couple of minutes when we went to pick it up after the show.
I would highly recommend Prime 47!!!
The Delmonaco Ribeye is the best and most coat effective to share between two people. The sides are sharable and highly recommend the Jalapeno Au gratin potatoes. Make a booking for an anniversary, you may get specialized menus.
Onion soup was a salt lick
All else was great!
Delicious and great service.
too unbelievable to believe. The Delmonico Steak was the best ever at medium temp until I tasted my wife's sirloin steak with a bit of peppercorn. Truly outstanding. The service is a sight to behold as they are there for you. Perfect place for quaint to celebrations. Possibly the best crab cake this side of the Delaware River. Can't wait to go back!
Prime 47 has a cool classic upscale atmosphere and service is fantastic. The value is somewhat questionable given the higher priced menu, however for special occasions it is definitely worth the trip.
Attentive staff and amazing food. Wonderful experience!
We have been going to every steakhouse downtown trying to find the best. We have been to Harry & Izzy’s, Ruth’s Chris, St. Elmo’s, and now Prime 47. Each restaurant we get a couple apps, steaks, and cocktails. For the apps we went with the shrimp cocktail and lamb lollipops, the shrimp cocktail was honestly no better then what I could get anywhere. I could taste the ketchup in the sauce, just wasn’t rich and I would not recommend it what so ever. As for the Lamb it was excellent, meat was perfectly prepared with a sauce that complimented it but didn’t overpower the meat, defiantly a must have. For our main course went with the filet minion and the 40 day aged bone in 22 ounce Ribeye along with a side of lobster Mac and cheese. The filet was cooked medium and was a tender good cut of meat, exactly what you would expect at a high end steakhouse. The lobster Mac and cheese was very very good, prepared with bread crumbs on top and very cheesy, again a must have. However for the 22 ounce dry aged ribeye it was not up to par. The meat was a good cut however the preparation was not equal to Harry & Izzy’s or Ruth’s, meat was very charred which took away any taste of the dry aged. Honestly all I could taste was the black gristle on the outside of the steak. To put things in prospective I order the same dry aged ribeye from Harry’s the week before and cleaned the bone, this one I finished half and just couldn’t eat anymore of it. We took it to go just because, but I’m not going to finish it. The cocktails were what you would expect par for the course. Service was actually very good, I liked the two server system they used and we didn’t feel pushed or rushed as we took two hours to enjoy the atmosphere, drinks, and food. All in all this is a good steakhouse but there is a reason they didn’t have a wait on a Friday night, unfortunately they are falling behind the other top steakhouses downtown.
Everything was wonderful. Only issue is that our food was boxed up together and my fiance couldn’t have his leftovers (and he had quite a bit left) because he is allergic to the crab that I ordered. Otherwise fantastic and had he gotten to eat his leftovers would have been WAY worth the money. Thank you for making our night special.
Outstanding food and service. Best in Indianapolis. We went for anniversary. Ribeye and NY steak were great with Caymus Cab 2016 and Fladgate Port. Restaurant graciously gave us a cookie with nice cream.
Food and services was excellent. It was our first time there and we were entertaining a client from out of town. It was a great first impression on us as well as our client. Thanks!
Dry steak, frozen fries. Marginal service. Not what I expected for a $175 bill.
In town for 1 night. Looked at the menus for several prime steakhouses within walking distance from hotel and picked Prime47. Excellent in every way.
We had an excellent experience. Started with a couple wines by the glass, beet salad and heirloom tomatoes. I had the lobster tails, my husband had the Japanese wagyu. We loved the truffle mashed potatoes but the Brussels sprouts were underwhelming. They comped us a chocolate chip cookie dessert which was very nice and they accommodated our baby and kept the speed of the dinning perfect.
Top notch all the way is the only way I can say it. The staff here are the best I have seen and it was a true joy to be part of the night at Prime 47 Indy! Many thanks to Chris and his crew for creating one of my most favorite nights out. After washing down a great meal with a bottle of Dom Perignon they took care in keeping the experience going strong with plenty of good tasting coffee and dessert. Spending over three hours there, at no point did I ever feel rushed. I look forward to my next great adventure at this Indy gem. Love and Peace to Prime 47!
service was what you would expect from a fine steak house. Food was excellent and choices were solid. Had 2 appetizers. Meatballs were spicier than expected and crab cake was very good. Wasn’t fan of crab cake sauce but it was good, just not my taste. Filets were tender and very well prepared. Fish was good, not great. Sides were very good and Mac and cheese was very tasty. Would recommend.
We had two waiters the head waiter and or sommelier and he was below average. The second one his assistant Walter made the difference. His service was above and beyond EXCELLENT. Definitely I will come back because of Walter and the food in that order. The wine list was good but the prices were not. They were extremely high. They multiply their cost times 3.25, not fair.
Overall our service and food were great. This was our first time there and can not wait to return!
We loved everything about it!
Steak was warm - not HOT - mashed potato's were room temp main server (Chris) - was excellent but his partner was just short of rude - took plates away without even saying 'are you done'. My drink was top notch and the grilled Brussel Sprouts were they best I've ever had (flavor was incredible!). Bread was above average. HOWEVER they go smoked overall by Morton's and Capital Grill. The Lobster Mac n cheese was so bad it was almost embarrassing. Piano was a nice touch but I felt it was too loud.
The steak was simply divine. They serve high quality cuts of beef and prepare them with care.
We were so surprised when we were seated at our table when we arrived......they had made a special gesture to add “congratulations” to the menu along with our daughters name! Such a nice touch! All of food was delish and by no means did the dessert disappoint! We were so full but managed to share it and almost finish it! I’ve already told a friend that she should try this restaurant when she visits Indy next! Our waiters were very attentive and awesome personalities and were very knowledgeable with the menu!
Always a great experience at Prime! Excellent service, food and ambience!
We sat at a high top in the bar area and the service was excellent. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Restaurant smelled weird when we walked in. We didn’t care for the broccoli side. We asked to see a dessert menu and never got one because they brought us a dessert but we still wanted a menu. We thought everything was overpriced.
This was a belated birthday dinner and we were also taking advantage of the Devour Indy menu. EVERYTHING about this meal and the experience was perfect. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for making our evening so wonderful!!
Haven't eaten there in a while..However, the service and food was great..excellent filet and shrimp cocktail
PRIMARILY a noisy large group restaurant!
If you are looking for a special attentive restaurant for a couples night, just keep looking!
The first few minutes seated at our table upstairs showed great promise. The waiter made sure we weren't in a rush and we assumed we would have an easy breezy evening. The waiter brought us our drinks and then after our main courses, he vanished! The second string took over and we never saw our primary server again. It seemed like he turned his attention towards the larger parties that had arrived and the noise level had increased considerably. The second string came by and whisked off our dishes and the dropped off our check. We paid and left to have our dessert course somewhere else! And in Indianapolis there are plenty of other choices!
It was great. My daughter and I had an evening out before she went back to college. This was the perfect place!
The food was excellent and our servers were amazing
