Food was fantastic! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Shrimp cocktail was spicy. Manhattan cocktail needed some help — always should use a luxardo cherry and never shaken, always stirred. But otherwise, good meal.
Wonderful experience and amazing food!!
Great local restaurant.
Steak had little seasoning. Cooked appropriately. Asked for steak sauce. A1? They don’t have their own. Drinks were good. Wait staff a bit too attentive. Don’t need to check on us every 5 minutes
Amazing food and amazing service!! I will definitely recommend Prime 47 to anyone wanting an amazing steak dinner
The food was great! It was our first time visitation and it won’t be our last. I loved how close it was to the events and the hotel I was staying at.
Wonderful. Waitress was a little sharp, all business. We were late due to the guest I brought being late on her end, so it was great that they were so accommodating! Food was incredible!
The atmosphere was amazing, and food was delicious. I will definitely be back again.
While the food itself was good, the restaurant was so cold that we were forced to dine with our coats on the entire time. Our food became cold less than 5 minutes after getting it off the buffet and returning to our table, so chilly was the ambient temperature. While our service was attentive and kind, I do not understand why it felt as though there was no heat on. Sad to say, likely will not return.
Service and food were amazing thank you!
The ambiance and the service was great! The pianist was amazing. I would definitely come back again just for the setting. The food was good but wasn’t seasoned enough for my tasting. I don’t personally feel the price meets the quality of food but overall it was a good experience
My wife and I were there for our anniversary. The service was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable. Our food was good overall. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. My ribeye was a little more fatty than normal, so it detracted some, but it could’ve just been the cut I got too. My wife’s filet was excellent.
The food and service here is outstanding. Be prepared for a bit of a pricey meal, but for a special occasion it is worth it. There are exceptionally well prepared choices for everyone's palate.
The food and staff were top notch when we started going there 6 years ago. Both have been going downhill ever since.
Chris our waiter was AMAZING!! He had a fun personality and played a great part in a Customer dinner I was holding!
It was my parents 58th wedding anniversary. From personalized menus to a picture in the frame. The team at Prime 47 made it a night to remember for my parents! Top notch, hands down the best in Indy!
Kevin, our server was fabulous...very attentive. Food was excellent!
It was amazing. We are definitely planning another trip to go back. Our server was amazing and the ambiance was great as well. The food was amazing.
A great place to meet before the Pacers Basketball Game. Service was fantastic as was the food.
Post game meal ...service was very good. Food was overpriced and some aspects were less than expected for the standard anticipated. Blue cheese and horseradish sauce was excessive and not warm ... bernaisse sauce served cold.
Went for the buffet before the colts game. Scrambled eggs were colt bacon lukewarm.. choices are lots not much diet friendly. Concentrated on pushing alcohol drinks
Seated in the balcony area overlooking main level we found the ambiance delightful complete with piano. Staff was attentive, friendly, and on the ball. Excellent bisque and a Delmonico med rare prepared perfectly. Well done P47
One of our favorite places to eat, ever. Great wine, tremendous service and better food.
Great evening. Took Mom to her 76th birthday before the Hugh Jackman show and it was the best dinner we have had for a number of years. Mom really thought it was cool that the menu had Happy 76th Birthday printed at the top.
Also, as a plus, to valet park for anything before a Banker's Life event is the way to go. No parking worries, resonably priced and the car was back within a couple of minutes when we went to pick it up after the show.
I would highly recommend Prime 47!!!
The Delmonaco Ribeye is the best and most coat effective to share between two people. The sides are sharable and highly recommend the Jalapeno Au gratin potatoes. Make a booking for an anniversary, you may get specialized menus.
Onion soup was a salt lick
All else was great!
Delicious and great service.
too unbelievable to believe. The Delmonico Steak was the best ever at medium temp until I tasted my wife's sirloin steak with a bit of peppercorn. Truly outstanding. The service is a sight to behold as they are there for you. Perfect place for quaint to celebrations. Possibly the best crab cake this side of the Delaware River. Can't wait to go back!
Prime 47 has a cool classic upscale atmosphere and service is fantastic. The value is somewhat questionable given the higher priced menu, however for special occasions it is definitely worth the trip.
Attentive staff and amazing food. Wonderful experience!
We have been going to every steakhouse downtown trying to find the best. We have been to Harry & Izzy’s, Ruth’s Chris, St. Elmo’s, and now Prime 47. Each restaurant we get a couple apps, steaks, and cocktails. For the apps we went with the shrimp cocktail and lamb lollipops, the shrimp cocktail was honestly no better then what I could get anywhere. I could taste the ketchup in the sauce, just wasn’t rich and I would not recommend it what so ever. As for the Lamb it was excellent, meat was perfectly prepared with a sauce that complimented it but didn’t overpower the meat, defiantly a must have. For our main course went with the filet minion and the 40 day aged bone in 22 ounce Ribeye along with a side of lobster Mac and cheese. The filet was cooked medium and was a tender good cut of meat, exactly what you would expect at a high end steakhouse. The lobster Mac and cheese was very very good, prepared with bread crumbs on top and very cheesy, again a must have. However for the 22 ounce dry aged ribeye it was not up to par. The meat was a good cut however the preparation was not equal to Harry & Izzy’s or Ruth’s, meat was very charred which took away any taste of the dry aged. Honestly all I could taste was the black gristle on the outside of the steak. To put things in prospective I order the same dry aged ribeye from Harry’s the week before and cleaned the bone, this one I finished half and just couldn’t eat anymore of it. We took it to go just because, but I’m not going to finish it. The cocktails were what you would expect par for the course. Service was actually very good, I liked the two server system they used and we didn’t feel pushed or rushed as we took two hours to enjoy the atmosphere, drinks, and food. All in all this is a good steakhouse but there is a reason they didn’t have a wait on a Friday night, unfortunately they are falling behind the other top steakhouses downtown.
Everything was wonderful. Only issue is that our food was boxed up together and my fiance couldn’t have his leftovers (and he had quite a bit left) because he is allergic to the crab that I ordered. Otherwise fantastic and had he gotten to eat his leftovers would have been WAY worth the money. Thank you for making our night special.
Outstanding food and service. Best in Indianapolis. We went for anniversary. Ribeye and NY steak were great with Caymus Cab 2016 and Fladgate Port. Restaurant graciously gave us a cookie with nice cream.
Food and services was excellent. It was our first time there and we were entertaining a client from out of town. It was a great first impression on us as well as our client. Thanks!
Dry steak, frozen fries. Marginal service. Not what I expected for a $175 bill.
In town for 1 night. Looked at the menus for several prime steakhouses within walking distance from hotel and picked Prime47. Excellent in every way.
We had an excellent experience. Started with a couple wines by the glass, beet salad and heirloom tomatoes. I had the lobster tails, my husband had the Japanese wagyu. We loved the truffle mashed potatoes but the Brussels sprouts were underwhelming. They comped us a chocolate chip cookie dessert which was very nice and they accommodated our baby and kept the speed of the dinning perfect.
Top notch all the way is the only way I can say it. The staff here are the best I have seen and it was a true joy to be part of the night at Prime 47 Indy! Many thanks to Chris and his crew for creating one of my most favorite nights out. After washing down a great meal with a bottle of Dom Perignon they took care in keeping the experience going strong with plenty of good tasting coffee and dessert. Spending over three hours there, at no point did I ever feel rushed. I look forward to my next great adventure at this Indy gem. Love and Peace to Prime 47!
