I’ve been to some of the best steakhouses in the US. Prime 102 is among the best of the best. Service, quality, ambiance, and that tomahawk are all to die for. Highly recommend.

Last night was our first experience at Prime 102. We were speechless throughout our entire time. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and I had the specialty drink of the night, Azalea. The best drinks we have ever had! Our steaks were cooked to literally perfection, medium rare just as we like. The potato casserole and beets were delicious. For our anniversary we were served a complimentary dessert, a snickerdoodle butter cake topped with Henry’s Mexican vanilla ice cream. Let me tell you, nothing will ever top the meal we had. The entire service was flawless, our server, Scott was wonderful. Thank you Prime 102 for making our 5th anniversary memorable.

Was first time at this downtown Tyler restaurant. Parking was free and available in front of the entrance. My wife and I were greeted by two attractive ladies who ushered us to our table. Our waiter, Coleton, was very professional and not pushy or hovering. The food was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The ambiance was classy but not stuffy. As a bonus, my wife and I were treated to a birthday cake dessert free of charge. We will be back!

I rarely complain about restaurants but for a meal we paid over $300 for, we expected better. The service was great but the food was subpar. We liked the sides the best if that tells you anything. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese and truffle fries. My fiancé ordered the tomahawk which that on its own was $130. Not complaining about the price, but for that price, it should have been cooked correctly and well seasoned. There was not seasoning that we could taste and it was very bland. When we got it, my fiancé had to send it back as he ordered medium rare and it was cold on the inside. (We rarely send things back to the kitchen but thought it was fair considering the fine dining experience.) They did fix it, no questions asked which was nice but then the taste was bland which was sad. I had the crab cakes which I did like! Service was awesome and they even dished out the first serving of sides for us as the sides are table sized servings instead of individual. Just wish that steak was better for the price. I almost asked for A1 lol.

Everything was fine. My husband’s steak was tough. They replaced it and didn’t charge us for either steak. They acknowledged our anniversary and my friends birthday which was nice. Just think it is overpriced.

Prime 102 is a great spot! We enjoyed celebrating at Prime 102. Food was top notch, atmosphere was wonderful. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary! Excellent service, very knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and caring. It was our first visit to Prime 102, but we would definitely return.

Prime 102 never disappoints. Meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of ambience, service, menu selection, and food quality makes for a dinner experience rather than just a meal. If you haven’t had the Butter Cake desert your life remains incomplete.

Hands down the best experience we have had at a restaurant in years! The bartenders made delicious drinks and were fun to talk to, the waiter was professional and friendly and the meal was awesome!!! Management came over and checked in with us as well and to top it off they brought us a birthday dessert. Wonderful place and we will definitely be back!

Food was good but nothing spectacular. Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite dish so of course I ordered that. It was good, but no where near the best I have ever had. My husband had the pork chip and it was very dry and under-seasoned. Need to have more sauces on the food in my opinion to give some moisture and additional flavor. Service was good.

Prime 102 is fantastic. Steve and Perry make everybody feel welcome and the staff is well trained and friendly. The food is amazing, and the crab cakes are phenomenal! Don't forget the butter cake for dessert.

We had the sea bass, crab cake, filet mignon, lobster mac, potato puree, and the loaded fries from the bar. We all shared and we loved it all. The only thing we wouldn't order again was the lobster mac, it was good but great. Hope you go and enjoy for a special occasion like we did!

All staff very friendly, hostess Veronica, bar waitress Jessica, waiter Daniel. Beautiful art deco restaurant in former bank. Saturday night dinner for two. Bar was full. Happening place. Dining room elegant and quiet. Crab cake, bread, filet mignon excellent. Bleu cheese dressing on wedge salad just missed, too creamy, bleu cheese flavor not strong enough. Bread pudding beyond excellent.

First time we visited Prime 102, a couple years ago, the food was outstanding. The last couple times we had visited, the food has been mediocre. Main course was lacking, brussel sprouts were burned and lobster in mac and cheese was rubbery. My husband had a lot of waste on his steak. We love this restaurant and hope the food can be restored in quality.

The ambience is fabulous, service was impeccable and staff is super friendly. Pork belly starter was delicious. Bread with cream cheese spread is amazing. Mixed reviews on entrees. Pork chop just ok. I had the filet medallions that were delicious. Steaks were good but not great. Cocktails are pricey and the wine is very overpriced - half again what other restaurants charge. It was a fun family experience but my husband summed it up best this morning saying “ it was nice going there for a change but it was just too expensive!”

We loved our server, Elsa. We were welcomed at the top of the stairs by two smiling hostesses. The food is always top notch. The building and art deco is beautiful. And the dishwasher Joe Hale Jr. Always greets us with a hug and smiling face (per our request. He’s an old friend!) This place is perfect for date night, for celebrating something special or for just cocktails and appetizers.

Beautiful restaurant and ambiance is exceptional. Service is outstanding. For some reason, while very good, the food always lacks that little something special that you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. While we expect wine prices to be higher when dining, up charge of about 3-1/2 times retail seems usurious
