Our steakhouse in Tyler, TX provides an exciting and varied menu for dinner and lunch. Matt is an excellent waiter and the entire experience was once again outstanding. A great place we highly recommend for a nice evening or to celebrate anything special.

I continue to fall more in love with this place! Service is top-notch. The servers are very well-trained and professional. They are well-versed in the menu and know how to make recommendations. The staff knows how to pace a meal to keep it flowing but still give you adequate time to savor and enjoy it—the use of crumb sweepers between courses is perfection. The food is creative but not overdone with fluff and filler. The plating is simple but still crisp and clean. There's a good variety with a little of something for everyone, even if you're not coming for steak. Desert, please do not leave this place without trying something. I have tried every item to date, and they are all well thought out and executed. Deserts are not an afterthought for Prime. Chocolate Cake and Bread Pudding are my personal favorites. The vibe, old-school bank, meets crisp retro classy. Value: It is on the upper end of the dining spectrum, but the quality, artfulness, and top-notch service make it worth every penny. As a side note, they serve lunch during the week, and it is the best value in Tyler. An average dinner for two with an appetizer, salad or soup, entrée, and dessert has cost me around $125-$160.

There are not appropriate words this side of Heaven to describe this place in Tyler but we will try. The Prime 102 is as unique and has such a special atmosphere as the People’s National Bank was in 1932! We were actually treated as The Bank President’s VIP’s. This is our “go to” place for very special occasion. We had just been remarried that afternoon and celebrated here afterwards. We cannot tell you how special it is, you just have to go and see for yourself. My husband had the house Chardonnay, the 12 ounce filet mignon cooked to perfection, wedge salad and scrumptious loaded baked potato casserole. Just too good for words. I had the superb Tyler Market Salad, and Devine Ahi Tuna Tartare. All fit for a king and queen! We were awestruck with every bite we took in. Usually you get full as you eat and lose your appetite before finishing your meal. NOT HERE! We did not want the food to end because each bite was as good as the first! It is just as elegant from the front door to the back! Each staff is so professional in person and in their attire. Our waitress was the epitome’ of what a waitress should be. She even honored us with the fabulous butter cake with Mexican ice cream and a lit candle that was out of this world and offered to take pictures for us. It was such a blessing and memorable evening we will never forget! How nice to have such a fine dining experience here in Tyler. It is beyond a 5 star! I certainly give it a TEN.

Our dinner ranks as one of the most outstanding restaurant meals I have ever had. Starting with our server, Elsa, who took the time to engage us in conversation. The bread was unlike anything I've ever had, and the special cream cheese spread was delicious. When my wife asked for butter instead, it came out soft, and easily spreadable. My filet came out the perfect temperature, and tenderness. The mashed potatoes were the creamiest, the carrot was soft and sweet. My regret is not trying the sweet potato brûlée, however, the unique banana creme brûlée for desert made up for it.
