Primavera Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Overall, I️t was a great dining experience. Food & service was excellent. Two suggestions: dim the lights, it’s very bright in the dining room & the staff was being kind and holding the door open for customers, however, the wind was blowing and I️t was so cold in the restaurant.
Service was good, considering the restaurant was jammed on this chilly Saturday night. Salads, especially the pear and strawberry, were good. The entrees were excellent; the chicken risotto Dijon contained more chicken than I expected. Our only complaint was dessert: what happened to the lava cake? The menu needs a truly chocolate dessert to make the evening complete.
Food and service were decent. However, we had a terrible table located near the business end of the bar. We felt like we were sitting in an aisle with all the traffic to/from the bar. We ended up eating fast since we couldn’t talk or relax. We talked to the manager telling him that no one should sit at that table but he blew us off, didn’t listen. Chaotic noisy place. We will not visit again.
We’ve been going to this restaurant almost since it first opened in San Ramon.
Very nice and comfortable seating.
The noise is about normal for a popular restaurant. Different rooms can be a bit quiet but it is not a place for always quiet conversation.
Food is classic Italian Dishes and also on top of newer trends. Menu has great daily specials.
It’s a little pricey but it’s worth it. Staff is very professional and servers are always helpful, but not intrusive.
Primavera Ristorante was nice for my wife's Birthday. The portions were huge, enough for lunch the following day. My wife was rewarded with a comped Creme Brulee for her Birthday treat. We brought a fine bottle of wine and the corkage was a reasonable $15.00.
We came for an anniversary lunch. Overall, really good. We had always gone to Guiseppes as our go-to romantic Italian spot. I'd say this come quite close. Our waiter was excellent with perfect timing.
I had grilled salmon on veggies. Best cooked salmon I've ever had. My daughter had the children's pasta with pesto. Also quite good.
My wife's risottos was a bit disappointing. Watery, and not as creamy as other good risottos we've had. One other recommendation (if we compare to Guiseppe's). It would have been really nice to have a small soup or salad offered as part of the entree.
Only other recommendation, some sort of mood music. Was almost a bit TOO quiet.
Very good...as usual! Food is ALWAYS good at this place! However, tonight the noise level was horrible. Theyshould look into some type of noise reduction carpet or wall and ceiling panels. Anything would help! We'll come back because the food is so good, but I will not wear my hearing aids!
My wife and I arrived at 6:45 PM, had our dinner on the table by 7 PM, what could be better? She had the tortellini and loved it, I had the blackened salmon which was excellent. Also had a glass of Rombauer Chardonnay and she had a mixed drink, which she loved. Service was top-notch, did not have to wait for extra bread as dinner arrived quickly.
Love this place! Food, service and ambiance is great. Celebrated a friends birthday & our waitress was attentive but also let us spend extra time chatting. (I like gluten free option and my friend ordered a special request vegetarian pasta dish with the current days fresh veggies - we both really liked our dishes. Also had the flourless cake with a side of coffee ice cream that was a delicious way to top off our night).
This is a great place for an excellent meal from appetizer to dessert. Our server was Brian and he made us feel as if we were his only table, although we weren't because this restaurant is no longer a secret. It just has a great vibe because everyone has a great attitude. If you're ever in the are I would highly recommend.
Great service except main course brought too soon. We were not finished with our first course. Also, my friend and I were splitting a salad and it would be easier if the waiter would have done that for us. We had to ask for a second plate.
Food was delicious and a great value,
Regrettably after years of good food, lunch missed its mark. The menu offered a prosuitto and mozzarella sandwich. I love procuitto in all its forms and ordered it and asked to hold the tomatoes. My sandwich arrived with tomatoes and the meat was boiled ham. I brought this to the waiters attention and he tried to tell me that it was "cotto prosuitto". First of all prosuitto is sales and air dried NEVER IS IT BOLIED!! Boiled prosuitto is HAM. I sent it back!
