Very enjoyable place for a casual lunch or dinner. I always enjoy eating there.
Service was wonderful considering 3 out of the 4 scotches we asked for they were out of like sewers (a staple). And bench seats were dirty when we got there.
If your looking for Italian comfort food, Primavera Ristorante is the place to go. The prices are more than fair and the service is consistently good.
Love this spot for a date night. I had the swordfish steak with risotto for $22 and hubby had the Chicken Saltimboca for $21. Both were good value and very generous portions! Soup and salad are ala carte but lentil soup was worth the upcharge!
They were busy, I understand . They were trying. The bolognese was mixed into the pasta. Looked like the kids menu.
This place keeps getting better and better. Great food & service.
The food was generally excellent, but the linguini with meatballs is consistently watery; the chefs simply do not take enough time to drain the pasta before adding the sauce. Otherwise, a very good meal.
Great food, upscale atmosphere except for the location in a supermarket parking lot, service was friendly and timely, much more expensive that I expected but oh well. I would go back for sure.
The food was good, ambience was good and relaxing, and the Open Table reservation system worked very well.
The food was excellent. The presentation was good and it was served hot. Our waiter provided excellent service. Portions are good—enough to take some home. The Tiramisu was delicious.
Your server with the ring in her nose is repugnant. Older folks who dine there do not accept this piercing or tattooing that currently is the fad of the younger set. Ask her to remove the ring before coming to work. Thanks
My wife had chicken saltimbocca which was very good but I had the linguine and clams and it was not good.
It had a lot of canned clams that I did not eat many of. They were gross. I have had this dish before with all fresh clams and it was very good. Must be cutting back.
Could be the best restaurant in San Ramon. Killer carbonara. Great manhattans.
My daughter loves to come here for her birthday! Nice ambiance, great food, fabulous service!
Food is always good! They saved our favorite table for us too!
Primavera is a consistently pleasant and well run restaurant. They use very good qualities ingredients, we'll prepared in an open kitchen. The luncheon menu is extensive with many mediterranian style items. Prices are moderate.
This was perfect for a business lunch with options for all and good food. Our server was fantastic!!!
Very good food fantastic service. Will definitely go there again.
Go here frequently for dinner with friends and family. Chicken Parmesan is my currently favorite. Crust of the chicken is perfectly crisp and covered with a gooey cheese layer. It sits on pasta that has been perfectly sauced and is topped with fresh grated parm. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Will return again soon.
Very busy evening. Appeared to be a large group in the function room. Lots of take out business keeping manager busy up front. It took awhile before he acknowledged us to get seated to dine in.
Wine ordered was not the same year as listed on wine list. Update list to match what you actually serve. Or just drop the year from the wine list altogether.
Food came quickly, it was tasty. New server was very nice. She would benefit from learning how to properly remove foil from wine bottle using the waiters corkscrew.
Good service, great menu selection and the food definitely met our expectations. Great place for a business lunch!
I had come a few times before so decided to take our son and daughter in law out for a nice dinner. The service was good, but when the Caesar salad arrived I was surprised at how mundane it tasted. It presented well, but the dressing had little flavor. This is an Italian restaurant so you’d think that the salad would be terrific. My meatballs were great, but no one else felt the same about their meal. I’m afraid I won’t be coming back.
We returned after a two-month hiatus. The pear and strawberry salad is still delicious, although the lettuce was just a little wilted. The pasta gorgonzola was excellent; the dill salmon was a little undercooked. The recipe for the chocolate lava cake has changed since our last dinner, but was still very chocolatey and quite good. If the restaurant were not so darned noisy it would be our favorite. It's still worth a visit for the food; just don't bring anyone for an important conversation.
Primavera Ristorante is always consistently fabulous. Our most favorite restaurant. The chefs get our meals out as fast as they can and make them as delicious as humanly possible. They frequently have specials too, and those as well are lip-smackingly good. I've never had a bad meal there, and their full bar offers a nice variety of everything. The only thing a little bit negative is that EVERYBODY loves this restaurant and the noise level can be overwhelming at times. I'll be prepared next time and have lunch or dinner al fresco (very pleasant if it isn't too hot or cold out) or make my reservation for 8 p.m. instead of 7 or 7:30 p.m.
Super disappointed! We have been coming here for years. The food has always been great but this visit not at all. Linguini with clams has 4 real clams and thru tasted sour which means they were not fresh. Veal piccata very little veal mostly pasta covering the dish to disguise the lack of veal. We will not return which is a major bummer.
We enjoy coming to Pasta Primavera. The food is delicious, the chefs are very professional and take such care to make sure all the food is good. Our server was amazing, very friendly and engaging and so was the server who brought our drinks.
The servers were friendly and helpful and the food fantastic. We always enjoy eating here.
great place for a great meal. quality food and the service is #1. Eva is outstanding and we look forward to seeing her every time we visit the restaurant. would recommend to everyone.
I wish they had some lunch specials. Like salad and small portion of pasta. Lunch prices seem same as dinner.
Food was excellent
We often have our office staff lunches here as well as Christmas outing. We have all enjoyed our meals and the service which is why we will continue to come and refer to others. Our favorite waiter/server is Brian. He always makes it a pleasant experience and genuinely cares about our satisfaction. Thank you!!!
I ordered a salad only and so did my friend. The waitress tried to say are u sure you don't want anything else and our salads are small. When she brought out the salad they were large and not small. My salad was with apples and strawberry and and way too much lettuce and the balsamic dressing tasted lousy.
My food was delivered without my wifes meal. Then my wife's food was delivered to the wrong table, then it was taken back to the kitchen area where it sat for 5 minutes. Then someone finally brought it to the table and quickly walked away, and her food was pretty cold by then.
Really never saw our waiter much, just the "help" that brought water, bread and our food.
I can understand a bit better if it was crowded, but the restaurant was 1/4 full. In fact the least crowded that I have ever seen there, and this was 6 on a Saturday night.
Maybe the bad service is starting to keep people away.
Great food and service!!
Great food and great cocktails! In a weird location but not ro judge a book by it's cover .
Above average overall experience except restaurant did not have our reservation even though I had an email confirmation.
Receiving this request for a review indicates Open Table received confirmation that we ate there.
We went to dinner on a Friday night, made reservations through Open Table. Our dinner was delicious and the Tiramisu fabulous!
As always, the food was wonderful. Unfortunately our waitress was more Interested in chatting it up with another table than servicing our meal. She was always polite but failed to bring several things we requested. Luckily for us, the gentleman who took care of making sure we had water helped to get everything we needed. In all honesty I felt he deserved a tip, not necessarily our waitress so I didn’t want him to suffer for her inadequate service. I must say, it is the first time my service has not been stellar in over 5 years.
Food was excellent. Portions were generous. Our server was great. They definitely do not rush you. We will definitely go back.
We've eaten many times here, lunch and dinner. Overall it is a very good restaurant, a good value and good food. This evening was not up to our expectations. My wife and I came for dinner. We were seated in the "back room" at a table for 2 several tables away from a large (at least 12) family gathering which included no less than 5 children, all under 4 or 5 years old. The parents did attempt to keep the children well mannered, but try doing that with 5 or more young children. The meal for us was very noisy, distracting and not enjoyable. We should have asked to be moved or just left.
I did voice my disappointment with the management when I left, but don't really expect it to have any impact.
In the future, we will not sit in that area and strongly recommend you don't accept a table there.
We’ve been coming for years and will continue to come!
