I went into the evening being well aware of the reputation of Ryan Chetiyawardana and sincerely looking forward to experiencing the Lyaness pop-up. Overall I can't say that my expectations were met. The drinks, at least as constructed, were decent but not amazing, the service standards were underwhelming, and I can't say that I found much to commend in my experience. Perhaps I had the wrong idea of what to expect, and it may be that happened upon an atypical evening, but overall I would score the experience as a disappointment.

Our trip to Lyaness was super cool. Our server Nigel was fantastic, he taught us about the different specialty ingredients and helped us choose the perfect drink for our tastes. Each drink was unique, you’d never think a banana flavor in a martini would be good but it was amazing, as was their twist on a Cosmo with special ingredient “milk wine”. The appetizers were also delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping in here for a drink, it’s a bit on the expensive side but it’s a really unique experience.

Lovely setting in an obscure (to me!) spot in TriBeCa. Service was superb, cocktails were amazing and food was delicious. We definitely felt like we were the focal point for the waiter and bartenders. Truly special event!

Tasting menu canapés were unique and good, really glad to have met the chef (Taylor?). Very cool cocktail menu but none of the drinks had any depth of flavor, very forgettable. Poor service that felt rushed and unwelcome for no reason, waiter brought out check during second course of tasting menu and came back surprised when I didn’t put my card in since I was planning on ordering another round of drinks.

We only came for drinks and they were pretty awesome. Definitely follow their model and don’t think about the spirits but about the ingredients. I went with the flow and both of my drinks were fabulous. Fun night out

While it was obvious I was not in London, the recreation of the Lyaness bar was spot on. Service was top notch and in keeping with tradition, the drinks were immaculate. If you have the opportunity to attend, you should. If you ever find yourself in London, you absolutely HAVE to go to Lyaness. It is one of the greatest bar experiences you will ever have.

Great drinks, great service. Very similar to the actual bar, which I was lucky enough to visit in London a few weeks prior. The staff really makes the place! Thanks again Michael, you rocked.

This pop-up is great, especially considering that it is only in the space for a month. The cocktails were very original and excellent--definitely the stars of the show. The food was simple appetizers, but delicious. It's not a dinner restaurant, but if you want a cocktail or two with some nice nibbles, in a calm, lovely setting, this might be a place for you!

I went to Lyaness with friends and we enjoyed a sophisticated, flavorful evening together. The cocktail menu is unlike any I’ve ever seen. Dorothy, the bartender, took us through the immersive menu and explained both the history and philosophy behind Lyaness. The drinks were out of this world in beauty and taste. In addition to cocktails, we ordered the jerk fried chicken which turned out to be mouth watering individualized bites and the Nam Prik Platter which incorporated fresh veggies, shrimp crackers, pork chicharron and three indulgent sauces. Chef Taylor then introduced herself and provided us with a personalized experience. The ambience of the grand bar with images of London in the background confirmed that this was indeed a special experience worth savoring and unmatched elsewhere . I plan to go back soon to enjoy it again.

I would have had no idea about this place had the recommendation not come from a friend. Located in TriBeCa down this little alley was an experience to behold. Upon checking in at the first desk, I was escorted upstairs to another desk, to give my reservation, then again to the actual desk inside the bar. What an absolutely adorable place! I was seated at the bar but there are many cozy tables and chairs with windows, for small groups to large groups. I was promptly served some water and given the food and drink menus. I really didn’t know what to expect but there are 4 “bases” and in group 4 drinks made with that base. I started out with the banana base, I had a sample and it was excellent and not fruity at all. My drink was the double painkiller and whooooo, it was definitely pain killing! What a light yet intense flavor. It came highly recommended by Courtney one of the bartenders. Next, from the purple pineapple group, I had the prelude and it was the most perfect summer drink. Lots of flavors going on. Other bases are the onyx and aromatize milk wine. From one of the other bartenders I heard the cosmopolitan was amazing but I had to make sure I could walk out of there!
Food wise I had the spiced nuts and the olives which were sent to me by accident. The spiced nuts were the perfect compliment to the drinks. I’m not a big fan of olives but they too were also good.
The music was a tad loud although it was early, and there were still a fair amount of people. Since it is a MasterCard thing, only MasterCard and cash are accepted.
Definitely make reservations. Come with a group or alone, either way you are in for a treat. Come early before dinner, or come late before going out. The service was great, the bartenders are super friendly and can guide you through the process and even make suggestions. A definite must try!

Best cocktails I’ve had the chance to taste in my life. And I’m kind of from the industry so I’ve been around the block a bit. Everything from the staff with their awesome personalities and recommendations to the actual cocktails. I don’t like to use the word experience too often but in that case I can trully say it was a mind blowing experience. I’ll be back for sure !

We had Corey as our server and he was an absolute pleasure between adding to what was already a wonderful experience to actually explaining the cocktails fully as well as the raw materials lyanness makes in order to provide such a well balanced menu

All and all my date and I throughly enjoyed the event and appreciate the I invite and would be back when the venue goes public
