Prezza Ratings and Reviews
Searched for an authentic restaurant in the North End. The bottom line is that the food at Prezza is delicious. The pasta was heavenly. The service was fast and the servers are professionals. The wine list is pricey and the room is noisy. But I think that is hard to avoid these days. If you want to eat well, this is a good choice! The valet parking is so convenient, has good staff, and is less expensive than a lot.
A large restaurant for the north end which was nice for a change, plus they take reservations. Food was Italian with a modern twist as my son stated. Food was amazing, wine lovely. A bit on the pricey side compared to some but thought it was worth it. Nice change
I went to dinner at Prezza recently with my family, and the service stood out the most to me. There was a mix-up with our reservation time, and we arrived (a group of 6 plus a baby) almost 40 minutes late. But, the restaurant kept our table and seated us after only a 5 minute wait.
The food was good - the rosemary focaccia was particularly fresh - but a bit overpriced. The wine list was extensive and well populated. I'd recommend Prezza for a family dinner out or special occasion at a quieter, cozy setting with homey Italian food.
The food at Prezza was exceptional. From the prosciutto and burata appetizer, to the mushroom risotto and ultimately the massive veal chop, I was extremely happy with my meal. My colleagues had the same experience. The only downside was that our server was a little too responsive and hovered over us for the entire meal. It seemed as if he was trying to pour out our wine so fast as to force us to order another. All of that aside, I would highly recommend Prezza for business or pleasure. The food was that good.
We wanted an authentic meal in North Boston while in town for an academic meeting, and were not disappointed! The restaurant decor is understated artistic, the staff were accommodating, the service good, and the food was wonderful. We were there on Sunday night so got to choose from their “Sunday Gravy” menu. I had the the superb saltimboca (every bit as good as I ’d had in Italy 2 months prior), my spouse had the porcini mushroom tagliatelle (house made) and we devoured every last morsel. I will make it a point to return on my next visit to Boston.
Was told by a local friend to visit Hanover St in the North End. Lots of choices for dining in this area but wanted something authentic, but also off the main street. Prezza delivered both and more.
Great service, large wine selection and also a lovely menu - including GF options as one of our guests was GF. Easily catered for, which made everything so easy.
Food was delicious and we all shared bread, the platter (meats and cheese) as a starter. The main meals were all fabulous, tasty and perfectly portioned - strategically to allow for a lovely dessert and coffee afterwards.
Overall, Prezza was imprezzive (sic) and I would very much recommend this lovely restaurant.
Prezza was a perfect spot for our friend's 50th birthday dinner! We couldn't have asked for more. We were seated in a booth for four which was perfect in that we could hear each other talk and it also felt private. Our waiter, Lucca, was very personable and offered us his top recommendations on the menu. We started with the Pomegranate martinis which had a decent amount of vodka in them and were not too sweet. We shared some appetizers: portobello mushrooms with polenta, burrata (a little pricey $22 I think) but delicious, and the bibb salad with apple, all were outstanding! Two of us shared the lobster fra diavolo for an entree; it was a good size portion but the taste was a little peppery. I don't think I'd order it again. For dessert, we shared the apple popovers and tiramisu, both were quite good. Apple popovers if you like warm carmel and vanilla ice cream -- it's a must! All in all, we loved our entire dining experience, and will definitely be back soon!
We went to Prezza on a date night and had a ball! They have a HUGE wine selection, and we chose something really yummy. We treated ourselves to a few of their homemade pastas, and we were not disappointed. In fact, when I asked the waiter which one I should choose, between two options, he told me he'd get me a half order of both! Best of both worlds.
We had a great time. Great service, nice ambiance. We'd definitely go again!!!
We love this place. Had the spicy clams appetizer that was great. Also had the burrata and beets that was equally tasty. My husband went with his all time favorite, the seafood stew - he says it’s the best he’s ever had. I love their bolognese but tried the pork chop, which was very good. Finished it off with an amazing creme brulee. Stays at the top of our list for a special evening out!!
Seated at the bar for a late dinner. To our left: a gentleman of a certain age, venture capitalist. On our right: young couple on a Bumble date. Us: just folks from the neighborhood who appreciate good service, a great wine list and awesome cuisine. Prezza has been a favorite for over a decade, for drinks, casual dining at the bar or hosting a group dinner. Prezza is worth the drive (or taxi/lyft/uber) as well as being a neighborhood gem.
Excellent experience. It was my wife's birthday and she was pleased. The food was good. No special presentation but good solid Italian. Our waiter was quite nice. He seemed a little shy. But he was friendly. The room was OK. It was comfortable though. I definitely go back.
My oldest daughter and I were in town visiting her sister, my first born, who is a grad student at Emerson. Prezza was recommended to us by Ed Kane, owner of Explorateur. Our experience was magnificent from the moment we arrived. Our server was gracious, knowledgeable (he recommended a really lovely bottle of wine), and made our meal and experience we'll not forget. I'd recommend Prezza to anyone looking for wonderfully prepared, authentic Italian fare, in a very inviting setting. We will make it a tradition to visit Prezza every time we visit Boston
We were away with friends and had dinner here, it was a pleasant experience. The food was great, the server even better (Efrin) nice atmosphere and good North End location walking distance to Hanover St where you can go get some great pastries and cappuccino bars. We will go there again.
Food was outstanding, as was the atmosphere. My issue with the service was that the wine list was HUGE, and when I ordered wine my first and second choces were no longer available. They did not have a wine steward to guide selections, and with my third choice the waiter came back with another bottle from a younger vintage and tried to tell me it was a better choice for the same money. Bait and switch. They need to update the wine list and get a full time wine steward to get 5 stars from me.
