The food at The Pressroom is consistently good. I think some of the value to portions ratios are a bit off, for instance while the Cornbread is delicious you don't get much for the price. The Hamburger and Katsu chicken were absolutely fantastic. The fries were a bit cold, which was kind of a bummer. Our waiter was also fantastic and so was the hostess. Overall the volume of the music is way too loud. It's working against the nice ambiance the restaurant has already going for it.

We went there on Fathers Day for the Tomahawk. To our surprise, it wasn’t available. They ran out. Really?! We settled for the brunch menu that was offered at the time, which was limited. Food was ok nothing special (steak and eggs, burger..) service was good. All in all, somewhat disappointed.

It was our first visit to The Pressroom, and it certainly won’t be our last. Ambience- great! Cocktails- great! Food- great! Our server- great!(Shout out to Domynique- she took great care of us.) A party of 3, we made a Saturday 2pm reservation so we could visit during brunch/lunch hours, and then trail into happy hour, which begins DAILY @ 3pm. Really nice cocktails and food. We tasted several menu items from brunch and HH menus. The beignets were delicious on their own, and were only amplified by the sauce trio. Also, the mornay sauce on my Croque Lively was TO DIE FOR! Oysters were some of the best around. Everything was flavorful and balanced. The restaurant itself has a really cool, chill, chic vibe, with lots of natural light, patio seating, and a unique rectangular bar. There is another whole side of the restaurant (with its own bar) that is super sexy and would be perfect for date night, with its moody vibes and dim ambient lighting. Don’t sleep on this one; make a reservation today. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back!

The Pressroom has a lot of potential. The food is tasty and well-prepared, though the portion sizes don’t quite match the pricing — either larger portions or more reasonable prices would bring better value. The service could also use some polish: the host would set a more welcoming tone with a warm smile and more upbeat energy. Additionally, our server was friendly but a bit slow in responding to requests; a five-minute delay felt longer than it should have. With a few improvements in service and value, this place could really shine.

Disappointing Experience Due to Excessive Noise We were really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, the volume of the music completely overshadowed the experience. It was so loud that we could barely hear each other across the table, which made conversation nearly impossible. While the ambiance and food may have had potential, the overwhelming noise level turned what should have been an enjoyable evening into a frustrating one. Restaurants should strike a balance between lively and comfortable — this place missed the mark.

All the food I tried was delicious and the waiter was great (ribs appetizer, raw tuna nachos appetizer, salmon entree). The acoustics inside are terrible, lots of hard surfaces to reflect noise, way too loud for comfortable conversation when it’s busy. We sat outside at their sidewalk seating and that was really comfortable, even with the occasional loud motorcycle going by and a few jets landing at SJC going almost directly overhead.

The food is good but really expensive for what you get. I don’t know how they can justify charging $86 for a prime rib steak. Their mocktails are $14. Not a family or allergy friendly spot. Good maybe for hipsters, Silicon Valley deal makers, and rich Sharks hockey fans. Service is polite but not very accommodating for those with food allergies or vegan. We were told to order the ratatouille.

So me and four other friends met up here. I got there a little bit late, but it still worked out well. I didn’t feel pressured or anything of that nature. The drinks were pretty decent. My friend ordered a drink that I took over because it was too sweet. We ordered the tomahawk and we shared it. It was a whole ordeal, but the steak was very bland! Even though they lit it on fire, it was still on the warmer side. I’m not really sure what was the point of it getting lit on fire was for. The sauce that they put on top was awful. Very bland. I’ve had much better steak at outback! The potato purée was delicious and the bread pudding and crème brûlée was out of this world!
