Valentine’s Day dinner was amazing
Had small plates. Great tastes and great service.
Great food, but took quite awhile and one member of our party actually had to leave with “to-go” box after waiting 40+ minutes for her meal
The food was fantastic! It was a nice surprise of a restaurant. We’ll definitely be back.
Fantastic service and great ambiance. Unfortunately, the food didn’t back it up. We went for brunch right when they opened and had a very disappointing and cold waffle.
Grilled chicken undercooked, waitress did not check back for a really long time after replacement came from kitchen... AND she was training someone! She missed an opportunity to show newbie how good customer service is done! Manager made it right, and in a kind manner. Disappointing as the restaurant had come highly recommended.
Usually the food here is fantastic. Not sure why is was terrible last night
Great location! Went for a date night and it was perfect.
Pork steak was perfectly cooked, good flavor. Seafood stew was ok. Service was acceptable, but don’t treat us differently because I’m eating with my 12yo son. Good atmosphere. Sales tax in Bentonville is high as a giraffe’s tail so adding a rocks charge on top of a $15 pour? It’s not that fancy.
Quiet enough for good conversation
Good proportions, ie not too much
Interesting local food
Food was fantastic. Appropriately priced. Very soft napkins.
Don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write a review of Pressroom, but it is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Bentonville.
My husband and I relocated to Bville about a year ago and Pressroom has become one of our favorites for weekend brunch, weekday lunch and weekend dinner (I usually cook dinner during the week).
At brunch, don’t miss the Ham
Benedict, Press-trami Hash and War Eagle Mill Grits and Grillades with Poached Eggs.
By way of background, War Eagle Mill is located in War Eagle, AR in a picturesque setting on War Eagle Creek, and currently functions as an undershot grist mill with a restaurant and store. A mill has been operated on the site since 1832, destroyed three times and last rebuilt in 1973. Worth a visit if you have the time during your travels.
At lunch, hubby’s fave is the Press-trami sandwich. His dinner favorite is the grilled ribeye and frites, and mine is the fish which is usually seared with crispy skin and presented with a beautiful melange of seasonal veggies, a starch and a yummy sauce (last summer it was green goddess, this fall, it’s fresh herbs). Oysters of the day with mignonette and charred lemon are an excellent starter when in season.
Don’t miss the first-rate, handcrafted cocktails.
I’ve dined often at The Pressroom & always have a delicious meal. This time I had guests who had not dined there & we had a delightful time.
Pressroom is a great place to hang out, eat, and see the lights of downtown Bentonville. Only quibble I had was everyone agreed the food was a little too salty.
Food was excellent and different. Server was attentive. Offered sample of local beer to see if we liked it. Noise level a little loud. Couple of tables with loud young kids.
White bean and kale stew was way over salted
Kale couscous and garbonzo salad was hugely kale and little else
Service untrained or non careful
I'm sad to say that the food was totally lackluster. Pork was overcooked to the point of dry toughness.
The food was not as good as last time we visited. Service was a little slow - but they did come to apologize.
I always love Pressroom for brunch, but have had mixed expowith dinner. Tonight’s dinner was amazing. A new menu meant delicious meal, great wine, top service and a fun atmosphere. Will definitely go back for dinner again.
Our reservations were respected even though we were 15 minutes late! So grateful! Excellent food. Very unique but delicious takes on common menu items.
Our waiter was very attentive and engaging
the atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy while also being sophisticated. the people are very friendly and all have a sort of cute style to them.
Spent the weekend in Bentonville to celebrate a birthday. The Pressroom was a fun restaurant. We walked from the hotel in the rain with our BIG umbrella. Our server was just the right level of attentive. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. The appetizer was super - Smoked Salmon Spread. My cocktail - Lemon Tree was fun. Entrees were great and dessert and coffee topped off a fun evening.
Out of town dinner after visiting the Crystal Bridges museum.
Food was very good. Sarah was an excellent waitress. Will go back for sure.
Great food. Large portions. Great atmosphere.
Nice spot for a business meal. The food and ambiance are are good and we had friendly service.
My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit to the Pressroom. We both had salads - which were fresh and good portion sizes - but we say lots of well presented, heartier plates being delivered to other table. One of the other things we definitely appreciated about this restaurant is that the tables are not crammed together. It looks like you can choose to sit at a "community" table but we had a stand-alone table that had nice space around it - making us feel like we weren't sharing a quiet dinner with the table next to us. Thank you for that and for the quality menu!
Great service, I had the trout and I was very good.
Hush puppies were excellent
Trout was excellent
Steak was average
For 5 meals, we had two distinct entrees ordered ( trout and steak) - for 3 people food was under cooked and for 2 over cooked. Never asked if food was okay, each sent plates back with less than half of plate cleared hoping kitchen might notice and see there was problem.
Long waits between visits by server and restaurant was not busy, our first pick had an hour wait but we booked here as secondary when walked out of first pick.
Also doh d restaurant does not give open table points, one restaurant visit points is worth $1 to me, so having zero will influence booking again. Oh and not being able to finish a raw steak.
Excellent evening. The mussels are amazing. Please do not rotate off the menu..
A good meal as always, service was a little slower than usual this time with poor communication on the availability of local beers on tap. Ruby Trout was stunning.
Fourth time to pressroom and it was very disappointing. Service was fine - but food was just not good. I ordered the shrimp and grits - shrimp were really over cooked and rubbery, cauliflower grits lacked any flavor at all (had to ask for salt and pepper) and the texture was too gritty. My daughter had the smoked chicken which had good smoked flavor but was also very over cooked and dry, and our friend had the trout which she said was also bland and uninteresting. I’ve had the Brussels sprouts before but this time they were barely done - no char or toast notes to give them more flavor. The mushroom pasta had a strange bitter aftertaste...we couldn’t figure out how noodles, mushrooms and cheese could be ruined - but they weren’t good. If that had been my first time to pressroom I would never go back. Need to work on kitchen training....or maybe fine tune this menu. I’m sure our waitress heard us complaining but she never asked anything about how our meal was...and I’m not one to try to get comped, so giving the feedback here instead.
We always enjoy the Pressroom. Food is slightly different and very tasty. Great open atmosphere with views of the square. De’Zare who waited on us was awesome! Friendly but still professional. She made the occasion better!
Delicious food and great service! Love the atmosphere! Varied menu with good choices and a great wine list that's not overpriced! Will go again!
Pressroom is one of my favorites. The food is always very good. However, our service was not great, and this is not the first time I have had poor service from the same server. It took a long time for him to get to our table, and then he forgot our appetizer. He brought us free dessert, but we felt overlooked the whole meal. I will continue to visit Pressroom, but hope to get better service in the future.
Excellecent food and service. The Rabbit and Rye were outstanding and the "Old Fashion" was the best I have had at any restaurant with the addition of the Luxardo cherries.
