Preservation Kitchen celebrates sharing a good meal with friends and family. We believe that all great things begin at the dinner table.

Preservation Kitchen preserves the traditions of regional cuisine and drink. The Northwest seasonal menu supports local producers, and uses sustainable, organic ingredients when possible to create the perfect “fine dining comfort food.” Pair your food with a drink from the extensive book of Wines & Libations to complete your meal.

Preservation Kitchen offers the elegance, warmth, and comfort of celebrating any occasion with the ease of feeling at home with family and friends, but without you doing any of the work. The restored historic 1916 Kaysner Estate was formerly home to Bothell's mayor and is located in a woodsy naturalistic setting. During the summer the outside patio is a relaxing area to grab a cocktail for the daily Happy Hour while enjoying the sprawling grounds.

Valentines date. I forgot to check the menu ahead so was a bit surprised to see the $80 four course menu.. the ambience is nice. Food is great, in particular the crab cake. But service is so so, pretty slow.

Went for Valentine’s Day and had a great pre-fix menu. We both had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. The crab cakes were awesome and both of our desserts were as beautiful as they were tasty. The restaurant is actually the residence of a previous mayor and I can see why they converted it into the quaint restaurant it is today. I had the Brown Sugar Bourbon after dinner, and it tasted just like Christmas in a glass! We will definitely be back here.

Expensive fixed price Valentines Dinner. Seated in the back of the ale house rather than main restaurant. Appetizer was stale. Salmon was luke warm. Salad with strawberries was fresh, but dressing was bland. Crepe dessert was the only good course. Wine pours were generous.

Won't return again.

We were not rushed as we caught with with each other, even though we were there over 2 hours! The room was comfortable, the tables were not really close, so we could have conversation easily.

I like the ease of reserving. This little adventure just put a new app on my phone for reserving with ease. Every fire place had a cozy fire going giving the place a warm home feeling while the cold rain fell outside.

What an amazing find! This restaurant is in an old converted house, so the dining room is really a series of rooms. This gives you a sense of privacy, while also having the ability to accommodate groups (and there’s a separate room for the bar area). There’s lot of little nooks and crannies for conversation, and the multiple fireplaces add an ambience of coziness and warmth to the place.

The menu is wonderful. Not large, but instead focused on quality ingredients made with care. The food was delivered to us with pride, and it showed.

The service was exceptional. Fast, polite, prompt, friendly, attentive.

I’d highly recommend this place. Whether it’s with a group for drinks, with the family, or or on a date, it seems to have something for everyone.

I had a very enjoyable time at the Preservation Kitchen! I went there for the first time, on a Sunday evening. It was my girlfriends birthday, and she loved it, and enjoyed the cheese tray! ( It was great). I had the boar for dinner and it was delicious, it was in a pasta dish, but truly great! The serves was great, always there to help make decisions for you, as well as making sure you are stocked up on drinks and food. Friendly staff! Will go back again.

Love the overall menu and offering.
The kids meal probably was some of the best kid meals grilled chicken and fries our kids had.
Attached a picture of the duck breast I had.

I've come here for quite a few anniversarys over the years. Every time, the food, ambiance, and service are exemplary. They always treat us as special guests though I suspect that is just how they do things. This place deserves every praise I can sing.

The menu was a little confusing because it didn't line up with what was online or what I was served but it was still really good.

Food presentation was good, steak was inferior quality, very grizzled meat, unable to cut with knife which dissappointed good presentation.

We always really enjoy the grapefruit sparkler cocktail, and the brunch dishes are reliably good. The sausage gravy on the "Mount Baker" was heavy and a little floury, but the Classic Eggs Benedict and Herb-Ricotta omelette were very good. Excellent potatoes.
