Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding and I was really impressed with their wine list. I will return and will be telling others about this new Polo Park gem.
Everything about our visit to preservation hall was amazing from start to finish. All restaurant staff were approachable, patient, and relaxed. The cocktails were so good! My favourite was the Eau de Vie - so light and refreshing and perfect for summer! The food was delicious - from the buck a shuck oysters to the steak tartare and the avocado dip for starters, we didn’t want to stop eating them! And then our mains came and we kept stealing bites of each other’s food, as all the dishes were so flavourful and fresh, and the portion sizes were perfect! Dessert capped off an amazing night! The creme brûlée is delicious!!! I can’t wait to go back! This place is a gem, and so much fun for a night out! ❤️
Pickerel in Thick batter was Not good. Fish mushy, wrong choice of fish for deep fryer Method. Cole slaw imho shouldn’t include Bean sprouts and needs palatable dressing.
Watermelon margarita with basil was unpleasant. Bitter not sweet. Returned it.
Nicely executed French bistro style menu and ambiance. Looking forward to another visit for buck-a-shuck Wednesday.
Everything was fantastic. This dining room should be full every night.
From the greeting at the door to the final bite of dessert the experience was top notch.
Fantastic service and hot and delicious food.
Unique beverages and a small menu with a wide selection of apps and entrees that will satisfy any diner. One word - Profiteroles - just get them.
10/10 - will go again
It was our first time at Preservation Hall. The food and service were very good and the menu selection was varied enough to have something for everybody. We will definitely be giving it another visit.
Love the menu options. Lots of choice across diet spectrum. Cocktail selection is impressive and the Tribute was perfect for summer evening.
Had the pickerel and roasted chicken!!! Fantastic!!!
Service was great ,the food was delicious atreasonable price.
Enjoyed the Arctic char! And the wine was great & discounted on the Thursday we went.... very nice!
First time at this restaurant. The environment is lovely and comfortable. The decor is very simple but beautiful and elegant. A gem in the Polo Park area and it is nice to have a more upscale restaurant in that area. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Food was exquisite and flavourful! Looking forward to visiting again.
Absolutely phenomenal! The food is fantastic. I would highly suggest the steak tartare, salmon tartare, and the French onion soup! I love that wine is available in 3oz pours because it allows for food pairings.
Amazing service, food and wine selections...a bit pricey on the wine but all great choices.
One meal ok, other meal on the cold side. Small portion. Noisy building, overpriced for menu. Excellent service.
The buffalo Sweet breads where absolutely amazing! A very solid starting menu and impressive cocktail, beer and wine list.
Thank you for your review, we're a big fan of the sweetbreads as well! The secret is all in the preparation. Hope to see you again soon!

Wonderful Food. Wonderful Service. Many Thumbs Up!
I reserved a lunch spot on line at Open Table for 2. We were greeted by Amy, who showed us to our booth. There is a lovely patio as well, but, it was quite windy today and we chose to dine in. Covid spacing rules were met as were all the other Manitoba Public Health guidelines. I ordered the pickerel sandwich with fries. My lunch companion ordered the Preservation burger with fries. She also ordered a decadent dessert to go.. We were so full that there was no more room for more. Oh yes, coffee was excellent as well. AMY was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable and I wanted to adopt her and take her home. I love restaurants associated with WOW Hospitality. 529 Wellington is my favorite restaurant. This one is now my second favorite. I highly recommend it.
Food was overpriced for serving size. Flavours were underwhelming. Not enough supply of oysters. They ran out of oysters when we only ordered 20 to start. And we were there at 7pm. I can keep going about what wasn't good at this restaurant. But I'll stop here.
Food portions were TINY and prices outrageous. That will never survive in Winnipeg. A piece of cauliflower cost me $19.
Excellent food & service at a great price. A fresh new experience you should not miss!
It was a wonderful dining experience; just went for appetizers and dessert, which did not disappoint. The staff was courteous and very helpful with food suggestions and wine pairings. Had the creme brûlée for dessert and it was delicious.
Great food and interesting wine list. Service was good, but I felt a bit rushed. No ambiance.
The food was great and the service was amazeballs!!
Oysters were awesome. Wish my steak had a little more char.
Wonderful food and service. Will definitely be back.
Very welcoming upon arrival, decor striking, service excellent, relaxing atmosphere and not rushed.
Drinks/Food excellent presentation and taste
The atmosphere was nice but I would not get the dish I got again. I ordered the zucchini pasta dish - my meal was the same price as everyone else (about $23) but I got about a quarter of the food that everyone else got. I always look forward to bring home leftovers but almost didn’t have enough food to leave me full and satisfied.
Thank you for visiting us our opening week, we appreciate you giving us a try. As a new business we are always looking for ways that we can be better. I have discussed your feedback with our kitchen team and they have increased the portion size on the Zucchini Pasta. I hope that you will give us another chance in the future. If you would be willing to join us again for dinner I would love to treat you to dessert, and make sure your evening ends on a sweet note! Thanks again for your feedback.
nice cocktail selection and varied menu. Would come back again.
Very good food. Spacious and clean restaurant. Needs more art on the walls. French art....people love beautiful environments when eating.
Love the music staff amazing Food quality Do not bread the Walleye For the Sandwhich great wine list and cocktails
The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was pretty good (hard to gauge in these almost empty Covid days... ). The charcuterie, king salmon, and seared duck were excellent. I was grateful for the service; very professional, friendly without pretending to be my pal, attentive but not intrusive.
Enjoyed excellent food and service. Menu has a nice range of choices including several vegetarian meals. Mushroom Bourguignonne is outstanding. Wonderful house made desserts. New decor is very comfy but of course it was quiet under the circumstances.
We went to Preservation Hall the day after the restaurant opened its doors. Typically we would wait a few weeks before trying out a new restaurant so that they can work out the kinks but decided to give it a shot anyway for a few snacks and drinks. I’m so glad we did because everything was amazing! The cocktail list has quite a few unique choices that we decided to enjoy with a few appetizers. The wine list was quite large but not intimidating to order off of because of the way it’s laid out. You can order the wine by name of course, but they’ve also put a bin number beside each wine so that you can order that way instead of messing up the sometimes difficult to pronounce names of a wine you’ve never tried. We had the Paris-Brest for desert and it was phenomenal. I thought it would be overly sweet but it was just right. Although we just went in for snacks, I couldn’t help but order the Tourtiere to take home with me. It smells delicious and I can’t wait to have it later.
We plan on going back next weekend for dinner because there are so many things on the menu that I really wanted to try. Can’t wait!!
I found a new gem in Winnipeg! Food is amazing, service was outstanding. It has been a very long time since I have found a restaurant in the city to rave about. Do yourself a favor and take your special someone out for a nice meal. I know I will be going back!
Delicious food and fantastic service. Highly recommend!
Food was fantastic. The space was lovely and the service was great. I’ll definitely be back, so many more things I need to try on the menu!
Attended on opening night. The place is nicely decorated.
Interesting drink menu, nice selection of appetizers.
The menu is mostly original, we selected the Beef cheeks and the scallops, both were delicious.
Desserts were incredible as well.
We will be returning.
