Prepkitchen - Little Italy Ratings and Reviews
The food was average. We had the cutting board which was the best thing we had. A warm white bean salad. It was okay. Textures were off a bit. Beef tartare which was good but the bread is too thick and buttery. It takes away from the tartare ‘s flavor. And the Fusilli bolognese which was just okay. Under seasoned and a bit plain tasting. The service was very good though.
We had great service from Jake - as usual. However when we arrived the main dining area was turned over to some kids thing...maybe soccer or football. I realize that I may have to suffer someone else’s loin-fruit for brunch but I don’t expect to put up with the same in the evening. Perhaps the new management embrace the change - and that’s fine - but we won’t be back if this is some new kid-friendly BS.
Our first time to Prepkitchen but won't be our last. The food and drinks were excellent! We had a great server and she offered wonderful recommendations! We tried a number of their appetizers along with different entries. Usually at a restaurant you haven't been to, you find something you may not like but not at Prepkitchen! Everything was topnotch!
In the heart of Little Italy among many excellent restaurant options, a nice location on the second floor giving a calmer sense than the bustling main floor options. Parking is awful, so best to walk. Service was great. Small, but good menu. The burger was very good, pork chop was “okay” and made better by excellent sweet potato gratin. Crude nicely presented and very tasty. Overall, a good experience, but no strong recos from our group of 5.
Food was very good. I would come back and try the other items on the menu. I enjoyed their seared tuna entree and the carrot 🍰 was surprisingly very good. The icing on the cake was supposed the and not overwhelming. The seared ahi was cooked to perfection and the blood oranges added to the flavor.
Service was good, but could have been better. The restaurant was not crowded when I went and we were seated at a corner table next to the kitchen. Our server didn't check on us to see if we wanted dessert. Another server cleared our plates. However, our original server's recommendations for food and dessert were in point.
My friend and I met up for dinner. We shared the chicken piri piri and the sweet potato and kale lasagna. The chicken was moist, full of flavor, and came with these crispy potatoes. The lasagna was comfort food without being too heavy. The service was very good.
Excellent service from our server and the food was delicious! Came for dinner with family who was visiting from out of state. I ordered the chicken fried trout - amazing and a tad spicey which I love. My boyfriend got the pork chop which was also cooked perfectly. We’ll be back!
Bummed that you couldn't look out the window and people watch. The Charcuterie board was amazing, but wish the olives were seedless. There wasn't enough veggies on the menu or varieties of non-meat, non-spicy, non starch. The cocktails were awesome! The dessert was very yummy.
I would come here again for cocktails and drinks and go somewhere else for dinner.
Loved the servers and hostess!
