We had a great light meal with a big salad and the chef's cutting board.

This is a fantastic restaurant and consistently excellent food and service. Lovely canal feel and the staff are great. The manager is absolutely not notch. I would recommend this restaurant again and again.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner started with chicken liver pate.
It was served with a delicious toast, fresh apricot and cherry or honeycomb spread. Next, a wonderful Caesar salad that actually tastes like it should.
Our entrees were delicious as well.
But here's the best part. Our server, Dana. She was proud of the food. Enthusiastic about where it came from and how much of it was house made.
She admired the folks with whom she works who make it all
happen. None of this was over the top. It was honest conversation. If I could, I would create a job for her. She's a great employee.

Appreciated patio seating so our little poodle could be with us for our anniversary dinner. I added that it was our 32 anniversary but I don't think the restaurant read my additional reservation comment.

My 'go to' restaurant in Del Mar.
Love the eclectic menu and wine selections and sitting on the patio for dinner.

Happy Fathers Day! The family took me there for brunch. Not our first time there, so we picked it based on several good experiences before. Again, they live up to high standards. While the place has such a casual CA kind of feel, the service is spot on, the food is very good, and the watermelon mimosas were to die for. Everyone we encountered was friendly and anxious to do whatever we needed to have a perfect meal. We had two small kids with us, both with nut allergies and our waitstaff were prepared, professional, and handled the situation well and gave us total confidence. Well done!

Food was great but our order was not prepared correctly. :-(. (Eggs to be cooked over hard; showed up over easy) Sent it back and got it the second time out ok, but it meant most of our party ate already while the last person ate alone.

The food was not worth the cost. Everything on the menu is high cost and other than the location, I don't see the value of it.
