Great business lunch spot with easy parking and central location. The flank steak with arugula entree was terrific. Service was attentive and offered helpful suggestions on the menu. We will be back soon
Great service good food nice setting. Chef was out talking to many diners the night we went.
Food quality lower than expected..not fresh. Sauce was not tasty and didn't taste like freshly made or authentic.
Even with discounts...not impressed and would not come back for the price.
Great meal.. great to be back after a few months of being away. Food was great and service was even better.
There were 4 of us for dinner. We all started with salad and the size was very generous. Beet salad was very good but I did ask for light on the dressing or it would have been too much. Our entrees were filet mignon, chicken Marsala, seafood marinara and grilled prawns. The filet was cooked perfectly and my friend was able to sub veggies for potatoes. The chicken Marsala was good. The seafood marinara was good but the shrimp were a little over cooked. The grilled shrimp were tasty but they were served in the shell and it was a little difficult to get them out of the shell even with the cocktail fork that was provided. Our server, Mario, was excellent! He was very accommodating and has a great sense of humor. This Prego is not like to Prego when it was in Irvine but at least sChef Ugo is still cooking.
Really enjoyed the ambience and quality of the food. The service was a little slow this time but the first time I went it was excellent.
Food was awesome and the service was outstanding. Made you feel like you were dining with family.
This was our first time. Didn't know we had to ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar for the bread nor parmesan cheese for the pappardelle since none were offered. Then when we were waiting for our entree the bus boy came to pick up our utensils! Oh well. . . Otherwise the food was good.
Drinks, salad and all dinners were well prepared. Our server was fun and very efficient.
First time we tried the new location since they moved from the airport area. The ambience is exceptional and the restaurant and bar are a pretty big. The covered patio area looks cool and refreshing (it was pretty hot outside that day). We went for Italian food but my wife ended up having the Australian Lamb Chops...OMG...to die for. I ordered the grilled stuffed sole with shrimp and lobster....delicious and really hearty and filling. They have a bunch of specials not published online. Next time we go in I’ll have to try the pizza and pasta that looked mouthwatering and why we went there initially lol. I plan to place an order to-go for lasagna next week on the way home. Greg was our waiter and is top notch and attentive. The chef stopped by to chat and was quite entertaining. Next family party we are coming here, great food and service. Kudos to everyone at Prego's.
Pasta was fantastic and saffron sauce was nice but my scallops were tasteless rubbery, and didn’t seem super fresh. Everything else was quite basic and overpriced. The bread wasn’t great. Wife’s special risotto did come with lots of giant shrimp that had good flavor. This is slightly better than basic Italian at much higher cost.
The service was impeccable. The table runner was so thoughtful and took such good care of us. Food was outstanding. Fusili pasta with sausage was not only good but is going to give us at least 3 meals. The pork chops were the winner with the wonderful roasted potatoes and veggies! Also my sister loved the pasta she got. I think it was ravioli or tortellini.
All was wonderful! Another great dining experience at Prego!
Great overall experience and value proposition. We'll be back again!
Excellent service and food!
Had a wonderful dinner. The food was delicious with every bite.
We have been to Prego several times and we enjoy the food, service and value enormously. Thank you for providing quality and value. Martha
Wonderful unassuming Italian. The food is good and is what you should expect from an easy Italian place.
Always have a wonderful. Very attentive bar tender.
A solid 4 stars across the board!
A fantastic meal - you will definitely want to try a special of the day.
Food was very good, waitress was very attentive. Great service and ambiance.
Our first time at the new location. It was just lovely, delicious and service was fabulous.
Food was really great and had perfect flavors. The staff was even better.
Prego has become my new favorite Italian restaurant!! Not only do they have s great menu but the chef and staff are very accommodating. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and lively. The tables are spaced well from each other. Staff are professional, friendly and extremely courteous. But let’s talk about the food!! Portions are good and the tastes are developed well. There was a good wine selection and the waiters were well informed. Overall, I enjoyed our meal and we were so happy that we dined here 3 times in just one week!! We brought family and friends do share in our experience as well.
If I could add one thing, it would be light guitar music periodically Or on certain nights just to add flare but otherwise a great ambiance and meals!!
Delicious lunch! Perfect location for a business meeting! Just go!
Great food and friendly staff
We have gone to Prego for lunch and dinner -- always with either two additional people or up to six. The service is always excellent and the food is terrific. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful place. Martha
I was expecting more of this place. The food is average. From all food we ordered, appetizers, dinner and dessert, there's only one thing I can say it was good. The tiramisú, all the rest was just average
Consistently great - thank you!
Thank you to Pierce who set our table up perfectly and to Shawn and staff for their excellent service.
Service was great, staff was very friendly and helpful. Even owners stopped by to help us out/talk to us. We were able to bring our four legged family members and was accomodated in the patio plus still able to take advantage of Happy Hour while even seated outside. They even provided us a comp dessert as we were there to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious as well and we tried a wide assortment of items off the menu.
The four of us ordered different items and found that only the child's chicken fingers didn't disappoint the 10-year old in our group. It's too bad that the food was so bad in such a nice restaurant. Won't be back.
Food was amazing, we had the lamb and the short rib dinners. Our server Mario made our evening special offering excellent recommendations . Really appreciate that we were able to relax through our dinner and not feel rushed.
Our second visit. Had a nice early dinner. We enjoyed their clam chowder, very tasty. We skipped their bread sticks but enjoyed their yummy focaccia bread. I had their Mediterranean salad with added chicken, delicious. Husband had their Maria Elena mixed greens and oear salad, he liked it. Owner was nice answering my questions about their room that's available for private events. Our waitress was very attentive as were the other supporting staff.
The customer service is top notch!! Our server and all that interacted with us were kind and very helpful. The food is delicious. Originally, we were set up inside, but it was a lovely evening and they were flexible in accommodating us outside in their beautiful patio area. Did I say The food is delicious! Perfectly cooked Fish! Prepared just right with lots of flavor. All other dishes complimented by our group as well. Thank you, Prego staff!
Would go with 4 and 1/2 stars but not available on site
Try another restaurant.
Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were neither jumbo, nor crab (mostly potato). Otherwise great service and reasonable casual Italian
First visit on a Friday night. Impressed with the decor and ambiance when we walked in. Their New England Clam Chowder was tasty but a little thin. My husband had the Lobster & Shrimp stuffed Sole with vegetables and said both were very good and he would recommend it. I had their Marguerite Pizza which had a thin crust and was also good. They were out of decaf tea bags but enjoyed a good cup of decaf coffee instead. Service by the wait staff was excellent! We eat out a lot and discussed how Prego could be a regular place for us. On a second note, we sat near their private room in the back. After taking a look at the room which was very nice, we were thinking of holding a dinner party there. And, I was thinking it would also be a nice place to celebrate my husband's retirement party. When leaving we noticed a special & beautifully displayed table for 6 at the front that looked like it belonged in someone's home. When asked about it we were introduced to the owner. He explained what it was for and again, my mind was imagining coming here with 4 of our close friends for a special evening. However, people who were leaving caught the attention of the owner and he then abruptly left us. It was apparent these were close friends or regulars. We stood there for awhile feeling ignored when a waiter handed us the business card of the person who does private parties. The owner waved to us as we walked out, still talking to his friends. Wish he could have answered some of our questions.
The restaurant does a great job of presentation. Everything looked really good. However, taste wise not so much.
For instance, thinly sliced pears in salad had zero flavor. My entree - short ribs was dried out. And, our dessert, which was a layered pastry like a Napoleon, had nice filling but inedible pastry.
To sum up - great presentation, nice menu, good service, but so so food in our opinion.
