Food just was not good. Ribeye for two was awful. Gnocchi was not good either.
My family enjoyed it, though it was difficult to hear eachother at a 6 top. I can't imagine there's much they can do as the design itself creates an echo of noises. The duck was fantastic and by all accounts, everyone else's meal was great. Our server, Daniel seemed a bit in the weeds but certainly made up for it with his attitude and desire to make sure everyone including our 6 year old had a great experience.
Delicious food and great service!
Such a cool venue too!!
Attractive setting and food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food delicious.
I’m a regular of Preacher’s Son. The food, service and ambiance is great. The new chef is outstanding and only restaurant that offers branzino in the area. I will continue to dine in this restaurant. Highly recommend it.
Very disappointed in limited menu, high price of food, lack of sides with dinners (no bread, salad or vegetable). Wife and I had the ribeye steak to designed to share that was 30%+ fat (globs that should have been trimmed) and got a cup of fries as its accompaniment. Another guest ordered rare steak and received medium, but he enjoyed it otherwise. Bar was also closed on a Wednesday - bummer. Prior visit a year ago, before COVID, the food was superior for all present.
Outstanding in every way. The modern interior placed into a former church is a great space, menu for craft cocktails and dinner deserves the title of ‘top-notch’. Cool drinks made with unusual ingredients artfully done. Very nice steak tartare and the whole fish Branzino was perfectly prepared. My gluten-free companion was able to enjoy the evening as well with a few very kind cooking accommodations done without complaint.
Outstanding experience! Food was delicious! Service was excellent. Ambience was delightful! Will return and recommend highly!
Food and atmosphere are wonderful. Noise level is too high for easy conversation. While the food is top quality, I feel it is overpriced and turns me away except for special occasions. There needs to be a $5-6 side salad offering on the menu to go with the entrees. Our group had a great meal and a good time.
This was our second time at Preacher's Son. Was very impressed with everything on the first visit so selected this venue for our 5th anniversary. It will probably be awhile before we visit this restaurant again. I had specified it was our anniversary when making the reservation a few weeks in advance and again when I was called the night of our dinning to confirm reservations. Upon arrival, there was minimal wait time but was offered a very small table just on the other side of the check-in counter. We were told that our 90 minute time limit had begun and waiting for another table would cut into our meal time. Since our reservation was for 8 pm I felt this was a bit unnecessary, but we took the tiny table and proceeded with our evening of dinning.
No complaints with our server. She id a wonderful job. My wife and I felt the menu was lacking in selection. Unless I wanted a flank steak or a ribeye for two, I was limited. The menu did include a duck dish that I would have ordered accept I had duck the night before. The menu included sea bass and I really like it, but it came by itself with no sides, plus it cost $45. I ended up ordering the sea bass and it was flavored well. My wife had Parisian Gnocchi. Her dish was sub par in flavor.
Spicy pork griddled crepe was AWESOME! Wish I'd had more. The trout with beets got a little too red all over the plate . . . but I DID lap it up.
Everything about this dinner was good. Part of that is probably because we are just now venturing out after 16 months of no restaurants. Tess was our server and she was quite competent and friendly. Meal was well paced. Wine list had good choices at different price levels. We split the endive salad. I had the duck and my husband had the fusilli. Because of social distancing, the noise level was great. We could see that when fully occupied it would be quite noisy.
The food is delicious and the space is beautiful!
The service was good. The food is average and not worth the cost . Wait person was great . Anthony was great .
Hours of operation is good. My overall impression was ‘ok’
Excellent service at our table!
Very pricey. Charged for extra bread. Food was good but felt like it was priced high for what it was
Great evening.......a little noisy, but it might have been our table ;-).
Great service! Food was delicious
Preacher's Son was an outstanding experience. The beauty of the building was rivaled only by the delicious food.
Great food, great ambiance. Not over done just done perfectly!
Great food and service. The building is beautiful.
Preacher’s Son never disappoints. Delicious food, great atmosphere, excellent service. Will continue to be a favorite.
Wow! The ambience is amazing. Beautiful light filled dining room with spectacular stained glass windows and blond wood was a perfect introduction to our delightful meal. The service was excellent as was our dinners...wonderful fresh salad, duck and strip steak with perfectly paired accompaniments. Preachers Son was by far our best dining experience in Bentonville.
The strip steak was delicious!
Once again, we had an outstanding meal at the Preacher's Son. The service was perfect; friendly, helpful, and sophisticated. The arugula salad with shrimp and giardiniera was bright and exciting, the scallop appetizer was fabulous, and we loved the seared duck breast with Carolina gold rice. The wine list is superb. This place continues to be one of our top three restaurants in the state.
My wife and I agree that it was one of the best salads we have ever had! Mushroom pasta was perfect as was the gnocchi! We live 1000 Mike’s away, but we will be back again!
The latest menu is delicious, we started with Pimento cheese fritters and my wife enjoyed her gnocchi with chicken and basil. I had the strip steak with gulf shrimp and roasted Brussel sprouts and my old fashioned was perfect. Definitely excited to head back and enjoy the outdoor rooftop seating again!
Great from start to finish. Creative cocktails, a salad infused with smoky bacon flavors, a creative grilled ribeye with mint leaves, perfect fries, a coconut dessert and creme brûlée to die for... Also a small, well curated and interesting wine list. Josiah was an excellent guide through it all. So well done.
Non-fussy, upscale restaurant with expensive food that is worth every penny. Cocktails bring several smiles with every sip and the food is both like comfort food and a new culinary experience simultaneously. The staff makes sure the evening with them is perfect with their attentiveness that is just right, caring, and friendliness. Desserts become pleasant memories along with the evening. The windows are worthy of a trip by themselves, but nothing will be disappointing. The covid arrangement of tables is much better as I have been there when it was too noisy to have a conversation because of the beautiful non-carpeted floors and high ceilings, but with the tables spread out the noise was not an issue at all. Lovely experience.....every time.
Probably one of the best meals I’ve had. Great atmosphere and culinary experience.
Definitely one of my favorite spots in Bentonville!
The food, the ambience, the service, just everything was beyond compare.
Wonderful venue and comfortable. Asparagus toast was welcome relief to avocado. Steak for two perfectly cooked.
Limited menu. Charcuterie board was very good. Service was good and friendly. The noise level was extrememly high, which made it difficult to have a conversation and a relaxing dinner. The beautiful windows should be lit so guests can enjoy their beauty after dark.
Aaron was great ... and good was awesome
Our server was great and the environment/ambiance is really nice. I love the simple elegance to the space. Our apps were really good. My steak was just ‘ok’. I’d ordered it medium rare, but it was medium to medium well unfortunately. I’d return again as the food is really fresh and the menu has very interesting items.
The building is amazing and the food is always good. We seem to have very slow service when we eat here - maybe that’s just the way it’s supposed to be?
Great food, great service. Sat on the rooftop area and was very nice.
Family dinner; sat on patio. Not busy. Great service and food. Pretty spendy. Love the rooftop bar!
