Believe the hype....absolutely OUTSTANDING! Great vibe, great service and the food was amazing! The Salumi and Cheese Board was excellent and both pastas were perfection. Flavors were vibrant and cooked perfectly. It was crazy busy but no big delay with reservation. Waitress was great also.
I was super excited for this but was highly disappointed. Ordered the meatballs and Salumi and cheese board for app. The meatballs were tough and dry and super small. I had to ask the server what kind of meat it was because the meat was so tough. The salumi and "cheese" board was good, although there was literally only 4 little triangles of cheese. My gf ordered the crispy lasagna and I had the special butter poached lobster macaroni. My dish was good. My gf didn't care so much for the lasagna, she wished it had more sauce. For dessert we got the flourless cake with hazelnuts and whipped cream. Also, the chocolate and salted caramel gelato. The gelato was good. The cake was really good except they put the wrong whipped cream on the plate!! They used the lemon ricotta for the limoncello cupcakes. Try lemon ricotta with chocolate hazelnut 🤢. We also had 3 drinks that were really good. Worth a $160 bill? No. I won't be going back. They should've stuck with the Moxie concept.
Fantastic all around - food, cocktails, service, everything. We came here to celebrate Valentines Day and had an amazing experience.
Loved everything about it, portion size could’ve been larger for the price... Great happy hour, we had the lasagna and the ravioli and I added scallops, Caesar salad had real white anchovies, and the risotto balls were unbelievable!
The food was great! Always a highlight for us of Moxie, and now of Prati Italia as well! Unfortunately, just like our visits to Moxie, the service did not match the food quality. The server was nearly five minutes before she came to our table for the first time, and again when it was clearly time to pay the bill (after dessert had been completely eaten) she was again MIA for another 5-10 minutes until we could flag her down to pay the bill. I don't know if they don't have enough servers if the restaurant layout is too awkward, side work is too much, or what, but it feels difficult to get the same level of service as we get with the food and drinks (which are excellent!).
Food was amazing, we got the lasagna and gnocchi. Another hit by Tom Gray.
Cocktails and meal were quite yummy. Presentation of vegan spaghetti and marinara sauce quite plain.
The food was great. The hostess did not check in on us and we had to ask her to seat us after waiting for 45 minutes, even with the reservation.
Our waitress was amazing. And the food was so fresh and good. The Gnocchi was AMAZING!! I’ll order the Togo next time, for sure.
I wanted to love this place. I mean, I REALLY wanted to.
Service was excellent. Bar upstairs was great. Although I don’t know if the Asian bartender has a sense of humor or just likes being a jerk (I’d like to try your X drink. Him:You can’t try it you have to buy it). Took 40 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. They couldn’t figure out how to text us (?). Service was good. There was a very loud party on the patio near us and after 20 minutes we were glad they left. I ordered their signature Lasagna. Hubs ordered Filet. The lasagna was not good. Lots (13 layers as a matter of fact) of noodles and little else of substance. Hubs ordered the Filet and received a Chicken Parmigiana (which we paid for). It was ok, the noodles on the side were amazing.
Gelato was great.
Service was spot on and food was good, especially being that it was Valentines Day. Would return again.
Horrible, Our Waiter was the worst! Food was bad, and we were SHOCKED to observe the Staff when changing out tables continuously reusing the SAME Table Cloth just folding it!
We had a lovely Valentines dinner! Very accommodating to vegetarians. We will be back!
The restaurant was beautiful. The lasagna was different but not great. They flash fry it to make it crispy so it’s VERY different. The appetizer meatballs were pretty good. The braised short rib was good as well. The service was amazing and if you’re an old fashioned fan, try the Walk Don’t Run drink.
The food was only ok. The fettuccine Alfredo was overly garlicky, the chicken parm was good but nothing made it stand out from other Parms I’ve had. I was super excited to eat the lemon ricotta ravioli and it also was good, but lacked overall seasoning. It was light and could taste the lemon. But the filling was limited and just ok.
The house salad was really great. The dressing was very flavorful, the salami great and the quantity was fabulous.
Loved Moxie and now Prati Italia. So so good. I am not a huge lasagna fan til now. The crispy lasagna was amazing. We will be back!
We dined in on Valentine’s Day and was a little nervous for picking this night to try out the new restaurant menu but it did not disappoint. From the service, ambiance and food we were blown away with a great experience. We will definitely be back to try out more dishes on the menu. Just a few we enjoyed were the mussels, french onion soup, gnocchi, ravioli, short rib and to end the night we had a delicious creme brulee. Our server, Grant, did an amazing job making sure we were taken care of the whole visit. Thank you, Prati Italia for making our night.
Great fresh pasta, craft cocktails, wine, and service. We will definitely come back.
Skip eating here. Best thing this Italian Restaurant served was the sparkling water!
Cheese plate appetizer was excellent. 13 layer lasagna was mediocre at best, would not recommend it. Should have tried one of the waiter recommendations
Everything was awesome! Loved our server and the food was delicious
I was hoping that a new Italian restaurant would have a full range of regional foods like I remember from my days in Italy and Brooklyn but was a bit disappointed with the relatively limited choices. Having said that the preparations were unique and delicious.
Ambience was great with beautiful, if somewhat ultra-modern design. The main room with upholstered booths was noisy but the side rooms had just the right amount of hum. Upstairs included a second bar and rooftop dining area. On the day before valentines day, there was a full crowd of singles, couples, families and parties. There were plenty of overpriced specialty cocktails, a reasonable beer list and a good wine list. Service was very prompt and cordial.
We skipped appetizers but the seared calamari looked great and mussels were generous. Since my wife's pizza took a while to make, we requested bread with our split salad and it was outstanding. When our orders arrined we immediately realized we should have split the main course. The 9 x 12 pizza had a tender, they crust and loaded with toppings. My lasagna, the restaurant favorite, was a 6 x 4 x 2 inch loaf densely packed with home made pasta and creamy meat laden cheese with a light marinara sauce. Everything was delicious and took plenty home for another meal. We skipped desert but others commented that the Tiramisu was excellent.
Although I still yearn for classic dishes like chicken Scarpariello, scungilli, arancini or scaloppone the choices and preparations at Prati will certainly bring us back
The food really lacked seasoning. It’s made to be simple comfort food but it’s a little too simple to be considered a nice dinner out at that price point. The waitress refused to put in our appetizer order before our dinner order. Insisted it would take longer from the kitchen. She was trying to be helpful but it made absolutely no sense and was frustrating.
Outstanding meal! The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. My friend and I started with the burrata which was a perfect way to begin the meal. She ordered the ravioli and I had the sugo. We were both extremely pleased with our dishes, and had the perfect little bit to bring home with us. I always loved Moxie, and I'm so happy to see Prati Italia delivering the same level of service and delicious dishes.
Pizza was delicious and the Sogu pasta was delicious as well. Nice Caesar salad and prompt courteous and efficient service.
The restaurant it’s self had a nice ambience. However the food was not great. Our meals lacked seasoning and flavor.
It was very good and will be returning soon!
What a FABULOUS meal and overall evening! It was a girls' night out and we had a wonderful outdoor table under the heaters. Our waitress was so warm and friendly and very attentive. And the food was OUTSTANDING! Chef Tom and his team never disappoints!
We are upstairs on the outdoor deck. It was a chilly evening, but with the heaters they had fired up, it was sufficiently warm. Friendly waitress and good food. We were pleased.
Excelente , un ambiente súper agradable con unas deliciosas comida
Overall it was disappointing. Pasta was overcooked and it didn’t even taste fresh.
Nice ambiance but food portions incredibly small for an “Italian
We were so excited to try out this new concept but unfortunately we were so disappointed. Moxie was such a great location with a great menu for our plant based lifestyle. The service was fantastic but the food was lack luster at best. We hope that they are just working out the kinks in the first couple of weeks.
Service was outstanding as was the food.
Xavier was an amazing waiter! Super attentive, gave great recommendations, and made sure we were enjoying everything we ordered.
Excellent food, great wine and drink options. Gnocchi oxtail ragu awesome! Transition to Italian is the next hit for Chef Tom...tiramisu best ever...
Definitely a fall from glory. Wont be back for food that's for sure. I took my date there with high Hope's but was let down by the quality of the food. Our drinks which were an old fashion and martini were the standard that we grew accustomed to with moxie. I was excited to hear the owner was trying a new concept because I love his past concepts. But this was not a dining experience I was expecting. Our service and drinks were spectacular. We order the garlic bread with housemade ricotta and tapenade. The bread was stale and very hard. The ricotta and tapenade were delicious. I love rapini and was excited to see it on the menu but when it came out the portion was very small for the money and on top of that it was undercooked. The worst of the meal was the truffle mushroom pizza. It was dry and packed any flavor. For the price I could have gotten better pizza at a chain which isnt saying much. Overall we were very disappointed and wont be back for food that's for sure. Drinks at bar are a definite but the food was a big let down
Great food and service. The pasta with ox tail ragu and scallops was delicious! The risotto as well! Highly recommended!!
NEVER DISAPPOINTED ! I love bringing my family here. It's our family go-to, a must if you are looking for quality food and great service.
Food is excellent! Service still needs a little work.
Very loud. Food was EXCELLENT, as was the wait staff. No complaints other than noise level.
