absolutely great atmosphere for brunch.. 1st visit and will definitely be returning for dinner.
The pizza and ravioli are a must.. the large portions are more than enough food to split between 3 people and feel completely satisfied.
Great to have another “go to place” for lunch and dinners
Met friends had a great time pizza way bigger than expected
Food and service were very good, pasta was delicious. Thought it a bit pricey for the amount of food, but we will still go back.
The most INCREDIBLE restaurant! Delicious gluten free options!
The food is delicious!
Incredible gluten-free menu. For the first time in 8 years as a Celiac, I got to eat gluten-free garlic bread! It was delicious as was my entree (gluten-free chicken parm). Our waitress Isa was wonderful as well. Will be back soon!
Great evening on the top deck of the restaurant for a business meal. The service was one point, and our server walked us though the entire drink menu and food menu. She was knowledgeable about the chef Tony and left us wanting us to try the deserts. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy another delicious meal.
The only downside of this restaurant is the interior, it desperately needs a make over from the Moxie days!
First time in since conversion from Moxie. Meatball appetizer over polenta was fantastic as well as the "Quinn" pizza. Nice selection of local beer and a nice wine list. Great date night to get away from Players concert traffic.
I love the gluten free menu! Most places offer only a few items that coeliac customers can actually eat and I was so happy that this place has a full page of GF options. The GF chicken parmesan and oxtail ragu with truffle butter were amazing!
Food was a bit underwhelming.
Excellent brunch with great food and wine options. Fantastic server who let us go at our pace and gave great recommendations!
Food and service were great!
We were there for a birthday dinner. Everything was spectacular! The food, the ambiance, the service! Couldn’t have been better. Our server, Xavier, was awesome! We will be requesting him next time - and there will be a next time! We are excited to try your outdoor gathering places! We will gladly recommend Prati Italia to our friends!
Our server KV (per the receipt) recommended we switch out the goat cheese for a different, in-house cheese on the Prati Salumi and it was the best choice we have made there. He also brought out extra bread and butter for the mussels. I wish happy hour on the drinks extended to the Chianti, but I will return.
Very good!! A must try if in the area.
Amazing! Best server ever! She explained the menu thoroughly (mix an match), gave us back ground on the chef, details about the dishes, origin, etc. i think her name was Sarah. She truley made the meal a wonderful experience!
First time back
Way too loud. Dinner at 6:30 and they out of signature dish. Scallops were too salty and over cooked. Not a return place
The food was good but cold, even when we sent two orders back. Service was slower than necessary. I am not sure we will try again.
Do not wait any longer to go and try this wonderful dining experience! Tom Gray and his group have hit a homerun on this one! Food and drinks are creative, ambience is perfect and Service is Attentive!
The food, drinks and service were outstanding!!!!!
Food came out cold. And took quite a while. My dates dish was not re-prepared fresh again but kept warm and it showed while they re-did my orginal dish. Second time mine was fair to good.
Italian theme restaurant with too few Italian wines.
Bread and oil not offered unless you ask.
You would think they might think for a table ordering two of their most expensive entrees and a $60 bottle of wine they might have given you a credit or coupon or something for A LONG session waiting and cold food.
Yes offered to buy a dessert but we are not dessert people.
Server was very pleasant. Management needs to do a better job.
I am a regular high end diner and this was very disappointing. Will not be back.
I think overall our experience was underwhelming. Our waiter made the night great - but the food was really greasy tasting. The house salad was good, but We had the Brussels Sprouts and they were way greasy, my scallops were fair and my husbands lasagna was confusing. Not sure why it has to be fried and again - greasy. The only dish at the table that was really good was the friend who had the lamb shank...I might try and have pasta next time - otherwise I would not return.
Very good food. Fresh pasta is great. Arancini is a delicious appetizer. Can get a bit loud when crowded.
Prati Italia did not live up to my expectations. I used to love Moxie, so I was excited to try the new variation. I was disappointed by the service, average taste of our meals and the price, as the portions were small. And what kind of Italian restaurant doesn't serve bread with the meal? Prati Italia. Go to Maggiano's or Carrabba's for better service, food and portions.
We went with another couple. My wifes' baked Lasagna was not hot. My neighbors wife and I had the Sugo. I was hard to believe that with all the ingredients in this dish that we both agreed that it was bland. My neighbor had the Chicken Parm. I asked him how his meal was. He said "It's not worth what I'm paying for it".
Best ravioli ever - outstanding kale salad. Loved the new menu!
Great Italian food with terrific pastas, fun items like the pimento cheese pizza, and terrific for vegetarians, too. Fun atmosphere and attentive staff.
Ricotta and garlic bread, 13-layer lasagna, and chicken parm were delish. Great wine selection. Service was fast and server was friendly. Only gripe is the lack of formality for a high-end italian joint—i.e., no fresh ground black pepper or parmesan cheese offerings.
First time trying this restaurant. Ordered the Power Salad which was excellent. Felt a little small for the price, but it was very very good. The noise level in the restaurant was very loud - had trouble hearing my dining partner at a 2-top table. The noise level is a recommendation for the restaurant because it was full and busy at lunch, just be prepared! Everyone around us was ordering the pizza and it looked fabulous. Will definitely have to try next time. Overall, it was very good and will return.
I had seen a nice write up in the Florida TIMES UNION about Prati Italia. I LOVE Italian cuisine, and my favorite Italian restaurant in Jacksonville is only open for dinner. I ordered the house specialty gnocchi with oxtail ragu, and it was excellent. The local greens salad was very nice. The tiramisu was very good, and the portion was huge.
Garlic bread appetizer was toasted bread that seemed saturated with garlic butter. The 13-layer lasagna was primarily layer upon layer of lasagna noodles. Hardly any meat or cheese. Also, the noodles were crispy burnt on the ends. Absolutely the worst lasagna I’ve ever had. Stouffer’s is better. So was Moxie.
Had reservations for 8 people, table was readying location was great. That was first and last thing about the evening that was great. We were near end of happy hour several in our party ordered house cocktails....bill came all cocktails were full price. I ordered bottle of wine after 15+ minutes they tell me they’re out...order an alternative bottle it also was sold out finally third choice was availablle. Server never apologized he just gave me some story about how much wine they sell and it’s hard to keep up with inventory a restaurant does not have adequate stock because beverage manager isn’t, doing their job or worse yet restaurant does not pay its bills.
Then dinner arrived it was OK I order cauliflower steak it was not a grilled thick slice but rather a portion of a head boiled then broiled as were potatoes....needless to say potatoes were charred cauliflower had no flavor. Last but not least bill arrived It was split across the 4 couples and took several redos to get bill correct.
Very nice trendy atmosphere. We shared an appetizer and split a pizza. Everything was fresh, delicious and on point. Service was also excellent.
The garlic bread, moscato, and chicken Parmesan were all fantastic! A great meal with friends.
My two girlfriends and I had a wonderful experience on a recent Friday night. We had reservations and were seated about 15 minutes before our scheduled time. Our server Armando did an excellent job of answering questions and if he didn't know something he found out for us. The high booths on the first floor really keep the noise to a moderate level. Having been to the former Moxie's several times we were anxious to try the new cuisine under Chef Tom. We were not disappointed!
The Salumi and Cheese platter was an excellent start with such a delicious variety of small bites. My party opted to share the 13 Layer Crispy lasagna and the Quinn pizza. Neither disappointed ! The Lasagna is melt in your mouth deliciousness! It is surprisingly delicate for 13 layers. Not a bite was left. The Quinn pizza was delicious although we all thought it was more Foccacia like than a pizza. The mushrooms, cheese and truffle oil was divine. I brought two pieces home. I look forward to a return trip with my husband!
great new concept from the original Bistro Aix chef, also the team behind Town Hall. Definitely worth it!
