Birthday breakfast for my husband. Intimate and relaxing with a nice view of the duck pond and great service, delicious food.
Fabulous experience for a very fair price. We will recommend to others.
Food was great, service was lacking a bit
Menu is somewhat limited, but the food is great. Love the ambiance and the fact that they use local product. Definitely will go back.
Lovely staff. Very Covid conscious. Delicious food.
Great location, very clean and followed Covid rules. Pleasant server and looked after the 3 of us well. We are from Toronto area, have a family cottage in Matlock, first time asked for proof of vaccination, well done. Had lunch, pickerel and chips, very tasty but fries were a little on the cool side. Creme Brûlé was delicious. Look forward to coming back next year. A very nice experience. Thank you. Sally Shkut
Good food, great view and we had wonderful service.
The artic char was wonderful, the boar was good but the sauce didn't suit it as well as it should. It was our anniversary dinner and the table had a really nice view (made better because the patio was closed) and they gave us a lovely free dessert.
Great food, atmosphere and service! Highly recommend!
We had a lovely meal on a cool, rainy evening!
The beet salad was outstanding but the pickerel seemed dried out. The coating didn’t seem fresh and it was a small piece for the price. We were disappointed in that.Otherwise everything else was excellent, especially the service.
Interesting variety of food...everything I have had so far was good. Generous portions, fast courteous service. Had a few flies for company but waitstaff brought a flyswatter when asked. Noise level a little high. I like that masks are mandatory and that you must be double vaxxed to eat inside.
Usually view is great but this time we were stuck in a corner with not much to look at.
When booking the appointment I did say it was my birthday. And there was no recognition of my birthday. Then why state the occasion of the dinner.
I had heard so much about how good the food was here. Sadly, the menu is extremely limited and items were not available. Drinks took forever to arrive. The place has alot of potential but needs major renovations. Very disappointing overall.
Our summers are so short -it is so nice to dine on a patio-and especially a patio with a beautiful view.
Thank you so much for making us feel safe and cared for in the restaurant. I appreciate that you are still asking for proof of vaccination and mask wearing despite what our government is doing. Prairie’s Edge will definitely be on my list for future occasions.
I brought an out of town friend and we both enjoyed our meals.
Beautiful. Quiet, Peaceful, good food. Couldn’t be better!
Both restaurant and patio very well set up for distancing.
Great patio. Lovely. Staff are fantastic.
Lovely afternoon- good food. Missed having the pickerel cheek salad though.
Our server was lovely. She was very attentive. My guests had the pickerel. They said it was delicious! I had a basic breakfast which was good! They had the creme brûlée for dessert and said it was amazing. We sat on the patio. It was very quiet and we were socially distanced from the other tables. It was a pleasant experience. We were happy to be outside in a beautiful setting!
As always, the service was amazing and the food delish!
Lovely venue. Clean and well prepared for customers both inside and on the patio.
We had a lovely outdoor table - overlooking the pond and the architecturally designed lights. food was delicious, well presented and affordable.
Should have booked a bunch somewhere else
The staff the good great!!!
It was a very lovely time with friends, delicious cuisine and such a lovely surrounding!
Cannot wait to do it again!
It was a lovely evening with great food and service! Perfect spot on the patio!
It was lovely to sit on the patio overlooking the duck pond. It was disappointing to not have maple syrup, or even powdered sugar, for the French toast.
The service was superb however!
A friend and I met for breakfast - the service was impeccable, Eggs Benedict was terrific, and the setting in the park is lovely. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation.
Service is always excellent and good is always very good. We always order the Hummus and Flatbread to start and it never disappoints. The sangria is to die for.
Went to celebrate a birthday. Food was very good as was service. Patio area is very nice - protected from most of the sun and very nice view of the duck pond. Must be quite beautiful at night. Only downside was limited dessert options (only one plus ice cream flavors). Can fully understand though given lower customer volumes because of covid restrictions. Would come back again for sure!
Had the beet salad and hummus - both were great.
Shared the smash burger with fries. One of the best burgers I’ve had!
Love these people!
Great to be back. As usual complete professionalism and warm friendly service. Beta was terrific. Brian made sure to acknowledge us upon entry and exit.
Good variety on menu. Setting is beautiful. A beautiful park to walk off some of those delicious calories. Even the clear shields, added during COVID, supply a sense of privacy yet still being with other diners and experiencing the tranquil setting. Staff very friendly and professional. Recommend the Arctic char on lentils garnished with crispy carrot. A lovely evening again at one of my favourite Winnipeg restaurants.
Celebrating a high school graduation
I quite enjoyed how quiet it was inside now that it isn’t packed. They’ve taken the necessary steps to keep everyone safe during covid and in fact, almost feel like they have gone above standards. The food is phenomenal as it always has been in the past. Everyone needs to support this business as we don’t want this place to ever go out because of shut downs. We will be frequenting this place at their takeout window more this year because we know the quality of service and level of food we got (and will continue to get) in the future.
