I hadn't been to Prairie's Edge in a while and was very pleased with the food, the service and the lovely location.
I love Prairies Edge, and go there quite often with friends and family especially for lunch. I recommended the Rueben to my friends which I have had a few times, but was very disappointed in it. It tasted like dry roast beef, with not much filling. Not the usual, that I have had before. I must say that the manager and waitress were awesome in this situation.
I have eaten at Prairie’s Edge many times. The staff is very friendly, the food is good and the ambience is excellent.
Went to Prairie's Edge for a Birthday Lunch for my niece, the food was really good and are server was very very good. Our server (wish I could remember her name) even brought a dessert with a candle in it for the Birthday Girl! Will definitely go back.
Beautiful space;excellent service; the food was good - a bit pricey. Not sure I would order my dish again - tempura batter isn't my first choice for a pickerel coating and it was a bit thick. The salad was good because our waiter thoughtfully augmented the plain greens with some additional salad vegetables. The oil and balsamic was presented in a deep bowl - not very practical for scooping up oil AND vinegar - usually a shallow dish is recommended. So - these quibbles are easily remedied. I will try something different from the menu next time.
We had a lovely Sunday brunch at Prairie ‘s Edge. The service, food, table placement and staff were excellent. We will certainly return.
Totally enjoyed the experience only sad the prime rib was gone.
Friendly attentive staff. We loved the entire experience!
Visiting with an out of town relative for lunch. Enjoyed the view. We had a window seat. We ordered the pickerel fish and chips. The meal was made to perfection. Service was prompt and our meal arrived within 15 min. I will definitely be back when the scenery is more green. It’s nice to dine where there are windows and you can enjoy nature
We are frequent diners at the park and our experience this time was not up to standard.
We waited a long time for our server to come to the table and once he did show up, we understood why.
He was just slow. Even tried the explain the menu like we’d never been in a restaurant before.
I also suspect our food was sitting under a heat lamp for longer than appropriate. The fries under the fish were cold and the sauce on the ribs was dry.
Nice setting, great food, nice having an upscale restaurant in the north part of Winnipeg!
It was our first time at Prairie’s Edge for dinner and it was great! Terrific food and service in a nice quiet setting.
We had a very nice dinner; there were 4 of us, and we all liked our dinners. We had the ribeye steak, a pasta dish, and a beef stew (can’t remember what kind of beef it was!). Everyone felt that the food was prepared perfectly, which often does not happen with steak. We are also fairly “experienced” eaters. Wine was excellent, and service was courteous, professional, and non-intrusive. Meals were paced perfectly, and we did not feel rushed. The room has a comfy feel/ambience, minimal noise level, and there's very interesting art/glasswork on the windows. We would return. In summer, the patio would be a bonus, as it faces the park and there’s interesting light instalments on the grounds.
Located in the middle of a park, this restaurant has views to satisfy everyone. The servers are helpful but not fawning. The food on this occasion was excellent (prime rib and barbecued ribs). The tables are nicely spaced so you have as much privacy as you need. This restaurant is not inexpensive, but anyone looking for a relaxed and satisfying meal, this is the place to go.
We always enjoy stopping by for lunch or dinner. We've never been disappointed .
Great deal on wine
My friend met me for lunch and she is not easily impressed. Prairie's Edge did impress her and we're definitely coming back!
Great service and friendly staff!
I love this place. The service is always good as is the food. Although a lot of it is very different combinations, I’m usually surprised at how good my choice is. Today I tried the grilled cheese. I now have a new favourite.
Birthday. Lovely experience. Appreciated the $10 gift voucher.
I have been dining at Prairie's Edge from the day it opened, also held functions, food was all way's good never a issue .
I dine at times for breakfast, lunch & dinner also know all the staff ,both managers also know my wife and myself.
my understanding you now have a new chef which on Saturday could of had a off day but I had the 1/4 chicken which was very dry but did not send back as it is not my nether to do so.
My wife had the pork chop which she sent back as it was dry & over cooked , the second time around it was better but areas were raw, did not send back the second time.
We are not ones to complain as the staff & Brian are very good and work very hard.
sorry will have to think twice about coming back regular after this meal and a new chef
Very good service. Food came as ordered and in timely manner. Drinks never went low as the server was very attentive. Overall atmosphere was awesome. A must try place if you want good food and service.
AWESOME STAFF!!! AWESOME FOOD!!! AWESOME ATMOSPHERE!!!
I have been to this restaurant at least 6 times and have always enjoyed the visit. I was not disappointed. My two sisters and I each ordered a different meal and deemed them all delicious. Our server was efficient and very friendly and accommodating. Our view was of the beautifully lit up skating rink and the park beyond.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone with complete confidence.
Highly recommend. Food and service was very good. Will definitely be back.
I really think a restaurant that features the view of the park should have clean windows damn windows are your first impressions. The frozen fruit in the salad was soggy. My wine glass was covered in lint. Less wiping of glasses and more window wiping.
I would be happy to pay for your overpriced food if the rest of the ambiance was worth it.
Lovely night with close friends, fabulous food and exceptional service.
to expensive for the amount and quality of the food
My friend & l chose the special - can’t remember the name of the dish (potato) but hope they add it to the menu going forward. Excellent service.
All we could ask for, great park setting, good menu choices
Wonderful food , service and ambiance. A real treasure.
First visit to Prairie’s Edge and already planning another visit. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Great meal, good value, nice play for brunch with the family, will definitely be back
Very good and wonderful service
A. Nice place for breakfast brunch
Absolutely fabulous! First time there, definitely not last! Two guys on acoustic guitars were awesome!
This was our second dinner at Prairies Edge. It was superb in every way. Front of house staff was excellent, from greeting us upon arrival to service. The food was great. Lobster tails were large sweet and tender. The Prime Rib was beautifully done (medium rare). Our first courses of mixed berry salad and parsnip/pea soup were both marvelous. We finished the dinner by sharing the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis. The best Irish coffee we had in years complimented the dessert.
The meal was accompanied by live music, as it was a Thursday night. We intend on returning for music, wine and desserts on future Thursdays.
Lovely valentines celebration!!! Great food and music and service. Enjoyed every part of the experience. Thanks
Food was great.
Service was great.
What more could you ask for?
It was good. Steak could use some seasoning. And it seemed like only 1 server was working a busy evening.
