The kale was mostly expired. Waitress never came to refill our water. Several times when I have ordered a salad containing arugula you were out of arugula which seems totally unacceptable for a fine dining establishment run by Wow hospitality. The location is great! So lovely out there on the patio in the summer, and if you could bring the quality of the service and food up a notch, it would be even more attractive!
We will be back!! Really enjoyed the meal and the service was great from start to finish!!
Prime rib, artic char, bison burger, deserts were all quite good. Everything cooked well. Just the right amount of food. Nice setting. A good choice
Is a very nice place for visiting with friends. Nice to Be able to make a reservation. Easy access for everyone. Lots of parking and a nice view and walking paths. The food was very good and lots of choices. We all enjoyed. Also very good service.
We were just starting our appetizers when our waitresses came to our table and informed is that the lady at the next table had paid our bill. Her husband had passed away from ALS and to honour him her goal was to do 100 acts of kindness. This completely blew us away. All the staff here are amazing and so is the food.
French fries were at least twice fried. Green beans tough and chewy.
Service was very good!
Service was friendly and efficient. Patio was lovely, it was a sunny day. Food was good. I found there were enough choices.
It starting getting busy after we were served and our server didn’t skip a beat, looked after us well and managed several new patrons.
I like the culture of the staff very much and have recommended it to many friends.
Really enjoyed our night out with friends. The butter chicken flat bread was amazing! We all had the fish and chips and it was a great choice. Overall food was enjoyed by all. Mac and cheese balls could use some work.
As always the food was tasty and service excellent, a favourite spot for friends and family.
I filled out a card at the restaurant, leaving my review there. The restaurant was overbooked on Saturday and was busy with a bridal shower. So our experience was disappointing.
I took my friend for her birthday. We had brunch and it was really good. We sat on the patio and the geese were very entertaining. Many thanks.
Nice location and building for brunch or a casual lunch, altho' the noise level was quite high at the 12:00 noon time. By the time we left at 1:45, it had quieted down considerably. I would like to take my mom-in-law for lunch but would need a quieter window of time.
Meals were tasty, but not exceptional..........my chicken pesto sandwich had too many mixtures of tastes. Korean spice chicken wings were not a hit with one tablemate, and another did not find any sauerkraut flavor on her Rueben. Fries were excellent and the soup was good as was the Italian sausage pasta dish.
Service was very slow both initially and when a request was made ie water refill / vinegar for fries / change for a $20.00 / container to take food home.
I will return to try other dishes and to bring a guest or two.
A beautiful setting in Kidonan Park. The restaurant’s ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. Nicely done!
Very friendly prompt service and the food was delicious.
When you serve salad that has gone bad and charge 8 bucks for it there is something wrong and then we told them about it and they say a few people told us about it! And never took it off the bill won’t be going back
Food was excellent. Nice setting in the park
Great staff and beautiful view in the park. Went for Mother's day brunch and food was excellent...not too much variety but just enough to please all.
We really enjoyed our meal and service was very good. We enjoyed being able to go for a walk in the park afterwards.
Met friends for lunch. We all enjoyed the food. Service was excellent.
We quite enjoyed the meal. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow. Could have had another server to cover the lunch time. Have been here several times and this was never an issue. Will not deter us from dining here though as we really enjoy it. Thank you!
A great gem! Beautiful location, one can sit in or outside on the patio.
Service awesome and very accommodating.
You will be going back after your first visit.
Meal was excellent and we had a wonderful time however where I was sitting the sun was going down so for most of the night I had the sun glaring at me and no shade blind was on the window to fix this problem.
Great options for lunch — appetizers, salads, sandwiches & burgers, etc.
This has become one of our favourite restaurants. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is efficient, and the food is creatively prepared.
Wonderful meal, excellent service and we forgot to use the April coupon! Beautiful to see the water in the pond and the geese back for the season.
They ran out of potato latkes and had to serve our eggs Benedict without them. My son, who is a vegetarian, asked for eggs Benedict with no meat or fish. They made it incorrectly and so his meal arrived later than the rest of the table’s meals. He also ordered a latte and the waitress sloshed about half of it in the saucer before it arrived.
This was our first time visiting this restaurant for all seven of us who attended.
We all enjoyed it and commented that we would return. The waitress was very friendly and courtious. The menu choises were great and the food was excellent.
Birthday provided food allergies weeks ahead of time. Lack of gluten free options not on par with what I expected from WOW
3 of us had the Saturday special -prime rib. Very delicious and cooked to our requests. Lovely ambiance. Had asked for a window table and it was honored.
I enjoy this retaurant for dinner and more so in the summer out on the deck they also have great breakfast. They have some great tasty wines. Great place for family or a date. Or before shows at Rainbow Stage.
Took my family out for Sunday Brunch. Service excellent. Some food came out mushy and cold, but will try again.
I was there for Dinner. The atmosphere was amazing. Really liked that you could look out at the park. The service was really outstanding. I found the restaurant to be a bit loud although there were not that many people. We ordered the pickerel cheeks which were very tasty. My friend had the steak which was a bit over cooked but still very tender. The steak came with potatoes but no other vegetables and no butter/sour cream/sauce for the potatoes, that was a bit disappointing (although looking at the menu now it was superposed to). I ordered a rice dish that came with chicken, bacon, a sunnyside-up egg and broniocly. It was very good. I liked that they had local options on the menu. Glad I went.
We've been here several times and prior to the last visit, were pleased wit the overall experience On the last visit (with friends), the quality of the food was below expectations. For one meal, the brisket was tough and my fish and chips meal was rather cool upon arrival. Perhaps it had been sitting on the wait shelf too long while the other meals were being prepped.
The atmosphere is pleasant and the park setting is very nice. Parking is always easy.
There were six of us thinking about an outing and dining afterward. I suggested Prairie's Edge because my wife and I were there for a Valentines Day Dinner. We had the same experience this time. The food was unique and excellent. The service was wonderful with lots of help with menu explanation and choices. Our wine options were great. There was no pressure to leave after our meal so we stayed and had coffee. The scenery was beautiful and we could talk and hear one another which is always a problem in many other restaurants. Thank You Prairie's Edge for a great time.
Went for dinner. Service was good. It was dead in there. I ordered rib eye. My server didn’t even ask me how I wanted my steak. I guess they assumed how I liked it? My husband ordered ribs. They were very very dry. Like they sat there all day. I was expecting it to be different and it was just “ok”. We had a gift card. But probably wouldn’t go back if we had to pay. Scenery is beautiful though.
my husband and I have been dining at this restaurant since it opened. Love the fact that they use local ingredients. We have dined at this restaurant for brunch, lunch and dinner. Love the fact that we can go for a walk in the park after dinner to end the perfect date.
Pleasant brunch with friends. The eggs were over cooked but otherwise all was well.
Quality local food. Table of 8 tried fish, steak and pasta. All was delicious. Good value for price.
Like the ambiance. But - 37.00 for two regular breakfasts is a bit high.
