   The group really enjoyed the casual atmosphere. The food was great. We had several appetizers and everybody was happy with their main course. The service was a bit slow at times but it didn't really matter as that gave us more time to chat and connect. We had a great time.

   Loved the food! The marrow was outstanding and our oysters were super fresh! Great service, delicious food and superb cocktails! Will definitely go back to try everything on the menu.

   The food was good and well prepared by the menu wasn't as imaginative as I hoped ... considering hope difficult it is to get a reservation. The Bar on the other hand is EXCELLENT! Wide variety, well stocked bar, great execution. Worth the wait to get seats. Yes, I will go back for the BAR!

   The food was great, atmosphere and decor fun and charming. The service, not great, we asked for drink recommendations and was bluntly told, we have cocktails, beer and wine, as if we didn't know a restaurant would offer that. Server wasn't able to recommend anything, maybe he didn't know their own menu. Also mentioned there was a birthday that was being celebrated, which is why we were there, and he made no remark at all. When the entre came, he brought the wrong food. Tired of trying to engage and talk with him, we didn't bother sending the food back, even though it wasn't what we had ordered. At that point we just wanted to minimize interaction with him, didn't want him to spoil the birthday celebrations. If we didn't get his bad service that night, the overall experience would have been great. We would go back but would make sure not to have him again. If in the future we get stuck with him again, we would rather leave. It was a Friday night, so I guess he was tired and couldn't recommend anything and other staff couldn't do anything to move us to a different section. Thanks for making the bad service one of the most memorable moments for the night.

   Wow. It's been a long while since we've been back to Pourhouse; not because it wasn't good the first time, its just that there are so many old and new places to explore that I just haven't found a chance to return. But, boy am I thrilled that I returned for Dine Out 2015! We all got the Dine Out menu, but the food was so enticing that we could not help ourselves and ordered, dish-after-dish! Service: Quick, friendly and attentive. Ambiance: Boisterous! It was a standard Friday-night, after-work crowd looking for a few rounds. Food: Just order anything on this current menu. You won't be disappointed. (Unless the kitchen staff is having an off day...you will not be disappointed). We only wish we had bigger bellies. Bravo Pourhouse! Keep up the great work!

   We ordered of the dine out menu and it was sublime. The best food I have had in a really long time. My wife asked about cocktails and the server responded with asking her some questions about drinks she likes and that sort of thing, then asked if she could choose one for her... and it was wonderful. The wine pairing for both of our meals was perfect and in all it was a fantastic evening. Definitely be going back. The only glitch was a hiccup with the music (wrong playlist or something) but the waitress apologized and soon it was back to suitable selections for the environment.

   Atmosphere and ambience of The Pourhouse is very good. Service was speedy yet unobtrusive. The cauliflower 'steal' delicious. The creme brûlée unbelievably good, but would have wished for it to be warm. Interior design of restaurant is west coast best, huge cedar beams and brickwork.

   Miles our server is always fantastic!! He remembers our names, is very efficient and lovely. My only comment is that the fries need to be crispy and not under cooked as they were last time , which makes them soggy. Other than that I love the PourHouse. thanks liz

   The food was great, service was so so. The restaurant was full but it was not too busy for a waiter to not give us attention. It was awkward for waiter to bring us the bottle of Champaign when we were having conversation. Later we order a bottle of red and he came back said they don't have it. I already had to ask him to give us more water by then. I found once other tables were empty I don't see our server around because I want to ask for more water. Then he came to told us his shift is ended if we wanted to order more. We felt it was better to close the tap. He later came back to tell us that he forgot to put our last round of order on our bill. After we separate our bill. He asked us how we wanted to separate our bill by parties then I have to add up my bill with my husband. I guess he maybe just had bad night on a Monday. Overall great place to dine out on Gastown

    Really like the darker atmosphere and it smells good as soon as we walked in. First impression was very good. As for the food, it was surprisingly yummy except the appetizer we ordered was a bit on the pricey side (bread for $3 & it was tiny & most other restaurants alike offer bread for free?!) but all our entrees tasted good although their burger, despite the patty was fairly thick but small, it does look a bit skimpy (maybe more fries to fill up the tray)?! Overall, i would recommend this place!
