POUR Ratings and Reviews
Brunch was fantastic! The Kung pao bacon and eggs was a wonderfully savory mix of meaty pork belly, crisp vegetables, peanuts, a deliciously sweet and sour sushi rice cake, and a poached egg. The brunch menu here always has some unusual dishes on it. I really enjoy the non traditional aspects of the things served here.
The drinks were great. When you got them. The food was great. When you got it. 12-15 people in the restaurant at the time and slowness doesn't begin to describe the service or the lack of urgency in the visible kitchen. Good luck if they ever get busy. Never again. Too many other choices with great food, drink, AND service to choose from in Lancaster.
Quiet evening for two, had the "pumpkin spiced latte" which was delicious! The combination of coffee and butternut squash soup was both unexpected and remarkable, and the pork tenderloin was incredible, perfectly cooked, the whole grain mustard sauce was a perfect compliment and the sweet potato gratin... don't even get me started! Pour never disappoints, definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
The food was delicious! The seasonal flavors all combined to make a delicious entree or side dish. Presentation was delightful. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines and the items on the menu. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!
We were so impressed with the ambiance and the delicious food. The chef was wonderful enough to send out small bites before we even ordered. Our waitress was amazing! We will definitely go back next time we visit Lancaster.
The seating was just okay. Not a great atmosphere for a romantic date. The turkey 'croquette' was dry and the presentation was bland. The menu selection is limited so I was surprised that they were out of one of the entrees at 5:45pm. For the quality of the meal, I felt that it was overpriced. The service was good!
Pour is my favorite restaurant in Lancaster! Chef Ian is an outstanding chef and the food here is a beautiful combination of subtly nuanced dishes like (field's edge salad, ricotta dumplings, milk and honey dessert, foie gras cream puffs with luxardo cherries) boldly flavored options like (the other KFC, kbbblt, honey glazed duck breast) also, I think POUR is the only restaurant in Lancaster that features fresh Italian white truffles in the fall every year. And they're REAL TRUFFLES, not truffle oil. Well done pour! We will be back for sure!
Food was quite rich - a bit too much for my liking. The beer was good, but really,? you POUR to a line on the glass which barely makes half a glass and the name of you establishment is POUR? A really cheap pour at $8.50/glass.
As always, the food was delicious but our server was lousy. As we arrived at 430, we were her only table and she would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time, sitting back by the kitchen chatting. I've never had bad service there before, but she was pretty weak for a server.
I have been here a few times. We let the server know we were on a tight time frame and she made sure food came out quickly. The service was good and the food is well done and tasty. A good variety to choose from. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and had a good range of delicious options to choose from.
It is a bit pricey for what it is. Speaks more to perceived value than any sort of criticism. As I said you will enjoy an evening here, but there are better values out there if that's an over riding concern.
Food was incredible--some of the best I have had in a while. It was a very leisurely meal, however. It is not that service was slow, it was just a very...deliberate meal. We did not tell anyone we were in a rush, so I can't really fault anyone for it, but still. Food totally made it worth the time invested.
The food was good, but took us a solid hour to get our main course. It was 30 minutes in to get our appetizer of a small mason jar of fries. We hardly saw the waiter in that time. After the main meal, we were still very hungry. We weren't willing to put in another solid hour for more food, so went home to order a pizza.
