Good place to go and get a drink and sit at the bar. Too many people for too few servers. Forgot our appetizer and could tell tuna had been sitting out for a while before it was brought to us. Decent wine list.
A great neighborhood spot to have a drink with a consistent crowd. Good wine list good food and a lot of atmosphere. From 6 to 9 on Friday 2:1 girls to guys.
Pour is a really nice wine bar and restaurant with a diverse wine list, great service by friendly staff and good food. The bar scene is lively, and Thursday night half price bottles of wine is always a special treat. We recommend it constantly.
This is a wine bar with decent food. The place has a nice atmosphere. We were there on a Thursday when they have 1/2 price off selected wine bottles. The listed "regular" prices on that special wine list are extremely high so half price is not an amazing deal, but you're still getting a decent bottle of wine for a decent price for a restaurant.
Good wine selection, overpriced food, specials are okay.
Great out of the mainstream wine bar to sneak away to. The bartender makes you feel right at home. A perfect place on any night to grab a little wine and a delicious appetizer.
After seeing the matinee of Nutcracker at The Fox, we booked an early dinner on our way home. I had been to Pour once before and had a decent experience so thought we'd try again. Bad idea. 1st of all, they were having a charter school meeting on the bar side of the restaurant. It was not possible to know this making the reservation on Open Table. We were overlooked at first but then, seated on the restaurant side which was completely empty. At least, we'll get good service since we're the only ones here, right? Wrong. We were for the most part, forgotten and ignored. We ordered a bottle of wine which would suggest we were not in a hurry. We decided to split everything. We ordered the sliders for our appetizer, the strawberry salad and the salmon with fingerling potatoes as an entree. All 3 dishes were brought quickly and all at once. The food got cold before we could finish it. They also provided nothing more than 2 bread plates for us to eat on. And there was no bread. We had to ask for another plate. Also, no salt and pepper on the table- which is fine if your food is properly seasoned. The potatoes were bland and definitely needed salt. As there was no one around, we had to go look for the salt ourselves. The meal was over $100 and it was NOT worth the money. There are too many other good places in Brookhaven to spend this kind of money. We won't be back.
Had dinner here using a Scoutmob deal and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered five appetizers and sides along with dessert for an enjoyable dinner experience. Would definitely go back!
Upon entering Pour, we approached the empty hostess stand. WE waited over five minutes before anyone showed up. Upon being seated, we waited almost 15 minutes before anyone came over to take our drink order. We had one glass of wine each and then reached the conclusion that the service was not going to get any better so we paid the tab & left. It should be noted that the restaurant was only 50% seated. I doubt that we will give Pour another shot.
Great to share some apps and a bottle of wine with friends. Server was busy working the bar and the whole restaurant area, and she did a great job.
Salmon was great!
Service spectacular! Portion size, menu variety, wine and cocktail selections all top notch. Will definitely be back!
The wine selection was quite good, the food was delicious, but portions were very small. We found the restaurant a nice hot spot, but all in all, the prices were just too high for what we received. There are other similar hot spots with lower prices, so we probably won't be back anytime soon.
For starters, you can never go wrong with half-off bottles of wine and especially when the wine list is good and has good food on it! We sat outside and the ambiance very closely resembled Paris. The food was decent, nothing to write home about and definitely not conducive for vegan eating but we found a way to piece a meal together. Across the street they started playing live music and it was such a great addition to our evening. Our service was fun and friendly and on the way out I saw a patron with a puppy on the playground which made me want to come back even more and bring my dog with me this time.
went for a night out to enjoy wine. the wine list was good but service was very slow. several times i had to go and find a server.
Feels like a restaurant in the French countryside. Nice selection of wines.
Always love this place. Waitress did forget the half price wine on one of the two wine bottles. She fixed. Seems like the staff gets overwhelmed since normally only two on the floor. These servers were a lot better than last time.
Not sure they have a real chef working the line. Food was totally overcooked.
Went on a bad night as the restaurant area was taken over by a birthday:party. My partner and I had to sit I in the bar which caused significant delays in service. Heard good things from friends who had been there previously so we may give them another chance.
We heard a lot of buzz about Pour, so our monthly Bunko group opted for a night out. Great atmosphere, but beware of the neighborhood popularity, you might need to valet. It was easy to make reservations for 10 and the servers were extremely patient, helpful and paid attention to details. Wednesday $5 martinis = tried the amazing Pure Bliss and several members split bottles of great wine. The staff had great recommendations and let us try a few wines before deciding on the bottle. We loved the hummus and chips, but the crab/artichoke dip tasted too fishy and stale and the flat bread was nothing to remember. Most of us opted for the salads instead of the heavy entrees. I would go back for drinks, appetizers or desserts.
I recently hosted a surprise birthday dinner for my boyfriend here that consisted of 20 guests. I could have not been happier with the food and service. It was a first time for majority of the guests and they loved it!
I can't say enough about Brittany, bar tender! She is my ultimate favorite! She's sweet, always has a smile on her face, knows what I want to drink and knows me by name! The food is awesome, the staff is friendly and welcoming! Pour Bistro is a neighbor GEM!
We loved the quiet intimate feeling of the place. Noise level was perfect for a relaxing dinner with a friend and the food was exceptional. Everything worked well
The food was fantastic!! The menu is relatively small which is a relief, as I can't stand these places with dictionary-sized menus! Pour Bistro's menu offers diverse choices to accommodate different diets and tastes without overwhelming with too many options. The food was presented creatively, the plates containing graceful amounts of food but not spilling over. My entree contained—among other things—four large scallops cooked to perfection. Others in my party had filet mignon and chicken entrees and were very satisfied with these choices as well. The cost was $100 plus which seemed a bit high, but when we considered how good our food was and how satisfied we felt, we all agreed it was well worth it!
Given we ate outside during rush hour and were still able to converse is testimony to the outdoor dining experience here. There was a place across the street with very decent live music, which could have enhanced our experience as well, but the taco place next door was also playing music . . .
Brittney at the bar will know you after your first visit! The atmosphere is relaxed and very friendly... the food is great, from light fare to full meals! The wine selection is great. Can't say enough about Pour Bistro!
I have now been here 3 times and the food is always fantastic and I like the atmosphere, but the service is very odd. It always takes a very long time to be greeted and then once you order your drinks, it takes a while to receive them. Then you could sit there for a pretty long time with empty glasses before anyone asks if you would like anything else. Funny thing is, I have usually only had 1 drink only because no one asks if I would like a 2nd but otherwise, probably would have had 3.
While I did like my food, I have to say that for a wine bar, it's unacceptable not to store the bottles of red in a proper storage facility. The wine was way too warm. How do they not know this? As well, the servings seemed ridiculously small for expensive glasses. A $14 glass of Gascon malbec should give you a bit more than what looked like 4 or 5 oz. (BTW, $10 for a bottle of the same wine at Kroger). All in all, I didn't dislike the restaurant but would not necessarily recommend it. (Unfortunately, you can't check "maybe" on that question)
We decided to try this restaurant for my husband's birthday dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised, as we share an ahi tuna appetizer that was tender and deliciously peppered. My husband liked very much his scallops entree, and I enjoyed the crab cakes that had a spicy edge. My husband liked our glasses of wine choices more than I. For dessert, we enjoyed a four cheese appetizer, and our wait person gave us a birthday discount. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem in Brookhaven, and we hope it gets discovered by more locals.
Great set menu options at reasonable price. Very nice decor with room between tables for privacy and one on one attention. Very nice wine selections at reasonable prices and excellent food and service.
Have been three times and continue taking all of our friends. Excellent food and service and love the ambiance. Every bite has been exquisite and the service impeccable! Fast becoming my favorite!
I may have hit the "group" night or something, but there were two groups of about 6-8 people each dining in the bar area that were super noisy. The place is pretty small, so the noise carried into the dining room and was actually pretty disruptive.
The food and service did make up for that though, we had a fantastic server and the flatbread was delicious. We were even convinced to share the s'mores flatbread for dessert and it was wonderful.
Great local spot with a lot of energy and outstanding food.
I went to Pour around 7pm on a Saturday, with my sister. It wasn't crowded at this point, so the noise level rating I selected may vary depending on the time you visit. In addition, the SEC Championship game was taking place so I'm sure the place got busy once that game let out. We sat at one of the high top tables in the bar area and had the bartenders as our severs. They did an excellent job and were very attentive. The food was great. I ordered the prosciutto & fig pizza, recommend highly! And my sister ordered the scallops, also a great choice. In addition, we had the hummus as an appetizer. This was also excellent, but a lot for two people to share...which we were OK with! The wine list did not have as many choices as I would think, based on the name of the place, but the selections we made were very enjoyable.
First off, the food actually tasted really good. It is a very limited menu so it would be tough to come here with picky eaters. I was disappointed on nearly every other front:
1.) On a Saturday night at 7 o'clock (we stayed until nearly 9 pm), there was hardly anyone in the dining room. This was a little odd.
2.) No fault of the restaurant, but there was a nursing mom in the dining room with a fit throwing baby (this place is pretty expensive and not a Chili's, ugh).
3.) The server was pretty abominable. She gave no descriptions or recommendations and didn't mention anything about the wine list except to continue asking if we wanted drinks (she was clearly trying to up our tab for a potential tip that she was not deserving of).
4.) The wine list was very disappointing. For a place called "POUR" with wine bottles all over their walls, you'd think it'd be more extensive, but I couldn't find any red wine that really piqued my interest.
5.) The prices are pretty ridiculous for what you're getting.
Overall, I won't be back and really wanted to like this place.
While the menu is not extensive the options provided are plentiful w/ taste. The wine list provided ample choices of reds & whites. We attended on a quiet Monday evening. I will definitely return for other wine choices & a full meal.
Fun, moderately priced dinner. Just enough activity to keep it lively Live music in bar area later in the evening very enjoyable
The service was OK (our server Paul had no clue about anything but at least he was nice) but the food was quite good. Mozzarella and tomato skewers were delicious and the chicken was good as well. The ambiance was nice and conducive to having a conversation until they turned on the live music.. That's the moment we had to go because it was quite loud and our throats started to get sored of screaming. Overall a relatively good experience, the only REALLY bad think was the kitchen smell - our clothes (yes, all of them, including undies) had to go to laundry immediately. That could be a reason for us not to come back. We know that's an indication that exhaustion fans must not be cleaned and probably clogged with grease. Yuck.
The food was great, service & outside atmosphere too. They could be a little more generous with their wine pours. Will definately go back though.
I came here with my wife on a Friday night and had the most wonderful experience! We started out in the dining room for dinner and then made our way to the bar to have drinks and listen to the live music. Our server was very knowledgable and made some great suggestions. She recommended we try the prosciutto and fig flatbread and it was delicious!!! Our entrees were also delicious as well...best scallops I have had in Atlanta!! The bartender made me a melon mule and my wife had a pure bliss. This place is fantastic and you must go try it!!!
Was very dead on a Saturday night. Had gone when they first opened, so would've thought it had really caught on by now. Agree with other reviewer that 'pours' are not very generous, and major entrees are overpriced. Scallops were flavorful but overcooked (certainly not due to a stressed kitchen). should've been advised to split the (very large) salad or should be 1/2 salad option to go with entree. I hope they can find a way to stand out as I'm all for vibrant Brookhaven dining options but market is too competetive for them to make it much longer unless they up their game. Generous pours would be one way, considering their name!
